Thinking on getting either one of these hamilton khaki. Any thoughts?

Personally prefer the face of the h70655733 model, but 44mm on my 5.5" wrist, hmm.

Hugh fukin wot m8?

You sure they're 5.5"? No hate, just never heard of them that small.

Also. Ahhhhhhh the relief of not caring about wrist size. 7.25 here, worn anything from 35mm to 47mm so far. No problems either way.

Two new pretties in.

Ball Watch Fireman Skylab Ionosphere

Bell & Ross M2, from the 90s. Made by Sinn. Or Sinn had something to do with it. Still trying to figure that out exactly.

Edit: Sinn produced watches for B&R and this one is based off of the Sinn 256.

39mm or 40mm should be the minimum size a gentleman wears as a dress watch. even patek in recent DECADES does not produce a mens watch under 38.5 or 37.
plus, at 200lbs i am fairly sure he does not possess the wrists of a little girl.

39mm or 40mm is literally the biggest watch I'll wear. Speedy excluded. If I recall your wrists aren't too big (no hate, mine are small too) so you could definitely pull off smaller without looking silly at all.

Yea I reckon I could wear a 39 or a 38.5. I would go so small as a 35 though or even a 37.
The measured diameter of a watch is usually just the bezel. So a lot of what gives the watch more real estate and wrist presence (lugs and crown protectors) are not even included in the measurement. So sometimes you compare a 40mm Daytona with a 41mm AP and you feel the AP is much larger than the 1mm difference might suggest. So a 35mm in the style mentioned may feel extremely small.

Any opinions on these? Like the styles but not sure if the specs are worth as much as they're charging. Somewhat uninformed about watches.

I think for me in my current mindset the range is 38mm - 42mm. I had a 45mm before and it just felt way too big for me

ive found my next watch…..(for now, may change my mind)

VC Overseas Chrono. Titanium with blackdial or Stainless with blue dial. Both around the same price i think. If i really decide to get 1 of these, id be selling the daytona (which I would miss dearly) and my iwc.
both of these use a modified F Piguet movement, like my ROC.

Where do you guys get good straps and bracelets? I think I'm going to get the Orient Mako XL with Orange bezel (it's pretty Planet Ocean like) and I might get the XL with the Lume/White dial, or wait until the Mako USA is more readily available. I was going to get a Seiko Mini Ice Monster, but not sure if I will buy yet.

I like the blue overseas on blue gator strap, but would never buy one because I hate the Maltese cross incorporated all over it.

i did. but i think im done with bracelets for the time being. ive had too many braelets (oris, iwc, daytona, ap). also i think putting the watch on a strap gives the watch another dimension to provide some color. also, leather wears lighter. but its not really a big issue. a bracelet can always be added later if it comes with leather or vice versa

edit: both of those overseas come with leather AND rubber straps btw. not like AP which only comes with bracelet . also my AP's bracelet cannot even be simply to leather either. the plots that connect the bracelet to the case are specifically designed to prevent that (if you can believe it). i need special plots to put my AP on leather/rubber. the overseas comes with this feature built in, so to speak

i think if your watch does not require any special strap designs, you can just get any strap off ebay so long as the dimensions match your watch. if you have something that has a special strap design, then there likely exists specialists that make aftermarket straps for those watches (like AP and IWC)

My straps and deployment clasp came in. I am still waiting for the special plots to come in so I can actually attach this bastard.
I had the straps made with gray stitching. Personally I think it will look great. It should wear much lighting and i will no longer have to worry about damaging the bracelet. If I ever get bored of the strap, I can always order a new strap in black with white/black stitching or just put the bracelet back on.

On a side note, Tudor recently announced a new Pelagos (25600TN/TB) earlier this year. I think it looks awesome. Its pretty expensive for a Tudor though, but features a new in-house movement and I know a lot of you guys love.

In real life, the blue doesnt actually look like this navy blue as seen in the pic, Its more of a bright blue, almost like a color you might see on a lego. Its really bright. I think it looks great though. Could pick 1 up 2nd hand in the future if I found 1.

Had a second job interview this past week for a position I've been trying to get for the past 8 months. I'd be the youngest person there by a few years. Usually takes about five years experience to get into it, I've got three. The manager thought I was too out going, loud, and abrasive for it possibly, lol wut. Here's to hoping. Should know within a week or two. If I get it I'm gonna treat myself hard. Pelagos, JLC reverso, and one more watch over the next few months. Trying to narrow it down between a Rolex batman, panerai 233, or possibly like a JLC geiphysic or something else under $10k.

The geophysic is kind of a wild card. I know I want the batman and a panerai at some point for sure. Dreaming until then….

get the GMT master II. its really really nice. that panerai is really nice too, but that gmt II tho….

also the rolex will likely have the highest value retention among all the watches you listed, incase you decide to trade it in the future for an upgrade, or if you need the cash

protocol on wearing two watches at the same time?

preferable both on the same wrist or one on each arm?

I was taught that only a select few are allowed to do that (shows status if you have two watches on) but always thought it drew too much attention
