Back in 4th grade my teacher made me kneel down and pray in class for saying "hell." Keep in mind that I was in public school, not catholic school. Could you imagine the sh!t storm that would ensue these days? Yikes!!

The crazy part is that teacher helped me get my act together and actually become a great student. Looking back, I'm glad teachers had the authority to do what was necessary. Can't imagine where I'd be otherwise.

It was rumored that the vice principle used a big sneaker, but he drew a paddle out of the drawer. Even back then he called in a witness. He felt my buttocks to see if I had anything in my back pockets that would injure me, then fired away. I stopped selling gum after that, it had been a lucrative business, netting me around $20 a day.

I was good at business, it was around 7th grade, I even had a bodyguard, a stocky Indian kid that had all the free gum he wanted and his lunch bought for him everyday. A Chad type fella once thought he could just take gum from me (I'm 5'5" now was tiny then) to give it to a pretty girl. My Indian punched him straight in the nose which started leaking like a faucet. I don't think any of that ever reached the VP due to a pretty strong code of silence, he just said "kids are spending their lunch money on your gum."
Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

Morning OG's.

The male gym teacher always paddled the hardest too. He would even bang his hard clipboard against the top of the kid's head if he was mad enough. This was in elementary school too.

The Zyzz era was awful imo. Before that was pretty good. I guest posted and lurked since 05ish, had another account from 06-08… pre 2010 this place was like a family. A fcked up, hilarious dysfunctional family.

In a few short months I will also be able to watch live football (with a new rookie QB too!). I've actually never been in the LA Coliseum here, so that in itself should be pretty awesome.

It isn't? Or was it the Indian in the Box?

What's shaking OG's? Junk weekend here where we throw all our junk on the curb and the village comes and picks it all up next week. People come around and take stuff though, any scrap metal is gone in 5 minutes. They also take the craziest things, busted up furniture, old shoes and chit. One year I saw an Oldsmobile going down the road with a swingset on top of it, each leg of swing was tied to a corner of the car and a guy was sitting on the hood holding it steady, was freaking hilarious.
Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

Bama status update-

The QB race is tight, they all had flashes of talent, drive, and hunger for the starting spot, none of them are too spectacular though. Passing and receiving were both meh. That said…

The defense is full god mode. Looks better than Last season.

Special teams looks really good aside from Griffith, who missed several chip shots and an understandable 55 yarder. He's gotten worse somehow, fukken Polock. Scott looked a bit sloppy too. Still as good as last season, but not at the level he was before that.

Didn't get to see much run due to various injuries so can't comment on that.

Luckily our schedule looks fairly soft, so I'm guessing playoffs and first round out unless they mess up huge.

How's Ohio State looking, Buckeye? Or anyone else go to a Spring game and want to chime in?

Surely. I hope you're ok with a porterhouse, some asparagus and sweet potatoes. We'll probably wash it all down with some cabernet and water.
