I can't wait to get the game and just spend the first few days running around exploring this massive fuking city.
That in itself sounds as fun as the gameplay and story will be.

Well CDPR has already said that it's possible to play through 100% of the game and never kill anyone. So it does sound like you can talk, sneak, and/or hack your way through the entire game. Which is pretty bad ass. I've ever heard of a game that will give you so many ways to play through a game.

CDPR may not drop a lot of games, but (most) are gold. Shame about Gwent…

Planning to buy a new gaming laptop in January or February to max this; looking at $6,000-7,000. Decided to build a badass desktop to see price comparison. About $1,300 cheaper for a desktop, but then I need a new monitor/keyboard. So difference will be negligible as far as I care.
Biggest cost is the i9, the 2080 gpu, and the 2tb NMVe drives (2, 1 tb) and a 4 gig ssd. That alone adds ~$4k to the cost.

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (with new AMD processors - there's pretty much zero reason to buy Intel any more for gaming. srs. And the next gen Ryzen they're about to drop is going to **** all over Intel.)

Other option would be to get a cheaper laptop for everything else then a desktop for Cyberpunk, but then I'd just as well go for a better laptop.
I did 20 overtimes in the last 12 weeks so the laptop is more than paid for, cash, with that alone and I still have 6-8 months before I buy it, so plenty of time to add to that. I figure either what I plan to get will be cheaper by then, or better will have come out and I'll get that instead.
I also have always preferred laptops when possible, they just suit my needs better.

A desktop keyboard is preferable over a laptop keyboard anyways.
A monitor that is not a laptop monitor will most likely be of better quality in almost all specs too.
A quick build with the Ryzen R7 2700X. Wait 2 weeks and you can change the motherboard and CPU to a much stronger Ryzen (when benchmarks are out it will show if their claims of 15% increase over their current generations are true. If that's the case then they have abolished Intel's performance "crown").

Hold off buying for 2 weeks is my tip. R3l3ntl3ss didn't and it seems to me that he is enjoying his 2700X without problems.
The monitor I've included in the build example is a very good IPS ultrawide with G-Sync and 120 Hz using a really good LG panel ( http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/...e_aw3418dw.htm ).
The keyboard is just a classic. A keyboard should be researched and bought with care. I've myself have been using a 60% keyboard for years now and I really enjoy them. The size and the switches are things to consider when buying a keyboard.

I should mention the cost I used includes a 3 year full warranty too which is an additional $399, but I have ALWAYS gotten the best warranty and it has saved my ass multiple times.

….personally, if I was paying $6k+ for a fuking computer, there's no way it wouldn't have a Titan RTX in it just because it's EASILY doable for even LESS money than you're about to drop if we were talking about desktops.
Edit: Maybe those cards aren't offered in laptops? If that's the case - there's no way I'd buy a laptop. For that kind of money you're leaving a significant amount of video power on the table…

On topic, Amazon has a place holder for the PC Collector's Edition, though it's not in stock yet.
https://smile.amazon.com/Cyberpunk-2...23&sr=8-3&th=1
Edit: In response to a message; I never miss out. Maybe on the PC version, but Collector's all the same.
GoG for the PC version, gotta support CDPR.
