Yea because radically different variants emerged. Masks were still beneficial. The problem is public health advisors thought they would "bargain" with the public. "If you do this then we won't have to do y." This is the wrong way to approach things. It's like liberal parenting. The correct approach is to say "This is the best way. We are doing it this way. If you don't comply, we will fuking beat you until you comply." Zero compromise. That's leadership. You don't negotiate with spoiled kids. You beat them into submission. Check the sig.

You don't test reduction of deaths with the RCT. They were just screening for sudden deaths as adverse events. Since there was no statistical difference between control and test, the vaccine is not expected to increase risk of death. It did show statistically significant benefits in helping people recover from the disease faster and show fewer symptoms. The reduction in deaths can be inferred from the death data collected from the population. It is not tested in an RCT (and it's ridiculous to expect such a thing).

No I don't remember that at all.

What I remember is explicitly being told, while the first rounds of vaccines were rolled out, that masks would still be mandatory regardless. I still recall the PSA on the radio "After you get your vaccine you still need to wear your mask, you still need to practice social distancing, you still need to quarantine if you feel symptoms...."

The height of clown world is how everything was literally being fuking told to them upfront and they still called us conspiracy theorists.

Oddly enough, they had a breakthrough covid death in the RCT, and more overall death than the placebo.... But somehow the jab 'prevents death'.... Alrighty.
