This is a common question. The fact is unpredictable movement in low/not great light is a hard problem.

You need to post examples or at least what made them not good for people to comment.

I would probably try to avoid a telephoto lens inside especially a 24-70mm. Maybe, you could use a 5-15mm or Something…

24-70 is telephoto?

24-70mm is "medium"
'
Good for street photography and portrait photography

I personally consider anything above 100mm to be Telephoto but that's just me

Semantics aside as you self-describe using a "medium" lens which you state is good for street photography would probably not be a good idea to use inside.

I am not REALLY trying to ARGUE with a RETARDED waste of LIFE no AVI shill.

Just LOL srs.
lol, my heavily auto'd (apparently ap mode and me adjusting everything but shutterspeed is heavily auto'd) photos also aren't 90 percent blown out

I shoot nikon

The stairs pics you took would have looked better had you moved that dial one click to a. Set aperture, shoot that white wall for WB, adjust iso to hit a nice handheld speed/ low grain if need be (lets be real, daylight city set to 100-400 and leave it) Shoot. Hit it again ev +-1 if you're really worried. Boom you now took 3 shots in the same amount of time you wasted on your pretentious overexposed manual mode.

Honestly would not be surprised if that's a crop and you spot metered the stairs for the exposure xD

this man has a 24-70 2.8 and you're telling him to use a 5-15 to do portraits inside because you would avoid a telephoto

If you're going to troll and act like you know what you're talking about, maybe just google portrait photography focal lengths first

bruh 85-200mm primes are common portrait lenses… 24-70 is a fine for indoor pictures of people.

Pretty cringe. Mocking him and then you give dogchit advice.

Telling him to get a 5-15mm lens doesn't help at all. What he needs to do is improve his exposure in low light either by using a wider APERTURE value, increasing ISO, decreasing the shutter speed or changing environment.

Clearly you don't understand this yet as your exposure is blown the fuk out in your photos. Might want to re-educate yourself as your 'old-school' photography knowledge hasn't stuck. His lens at 24-70mm is fine and at the longer focal length preferable for portraits (fuking lol suggesting 5-15mm as portrait for kids).

Nice thread. Never knew this was here.

Nothing spectacular but I was really impressed with the camera on the google pixel 4. Mind you, I come from a really bottom grade smart phone and, before that, a flip phone, so it struck me as initially really impressive and I've been having a lot of fun with it.

Haven't used an actual camera in like 10 years. My wife was really into it back in the day with her cannon and the lenses and all that.

solid shot. I've been really impressed with phone quality pictures recently. there are some great videos on YT comparing a $600 phone to an $8000 dedicated mirrorless setup and sometimes its hard to tell which is which

I've been very disappointed by phone pictures. They seem to apply all manner of horribly pre-baked effects like HDR and fake bokeh into pictures which make them utterly unusable imo.

This seems to be what the iphone gen want in 2022 though.

no I just don't own a fisheye lens to show you how dumb a 5-15mm portrait looks

Try applying lens correction in LR on your temple shot to fix the barrel distortion at the bottom
