Landry and Ward are my ideal two at 9 assuming Nelson, Fitzpatrick, Barkley and Chubb are gone.
This reminds me of Shanny's quote the other day about how some get caught up in players not being well rounded enough but he's looking for players who have elite traits. Makes total sense, the Patriots have been doing that for years.

Of course it could be an act and good coaching by the agents but I think he was sincere and his actions indicate he was honest.

What I got from that interview

Kid shows loyalty - stayed with BC since they were the first to give him a letter despite bigger schools giving him letters down the road.
Shows he's not just looking to cash in from the NFL and party by staying to get his degree
Shows he works at his craft - great to hear the bend didn't come natural…because if he can make it LOOK that natural with work I'm excited to see what else he can do with work.
Shows he's already working on improving his pass rush ability so he's not a one trick pony.
Damn, impressive interview. Think he’s over Ward for me right now. I believe in this kid. We could have a great defensive line for years if he’s the draft pick.

We officially released Dumervil. I think he led the team in sacks last year. So I am guessing they have the pass rush options that they plan to go with?

EJ Gaines was ranked as the #13 CB last season according to PFF. He’s missed some time the last couple seasons. But maybe we’d be better off signing him for the half the price of Trumaine Johnson.

I just read that Lynch was having dinner with Richard Sherman. I don't know if I can deal with seeing him in a 49ers jersey.

This. You guys need to get over the whole Seahawks thing.

Sherman is a perfect fit for this scheme. We know this. We know he's a fiery competitor and knows this scheme maybe better than our own coaches. At worst he'd be a great player coach helping the other guys we have at best he's back to his pre injury days and shutting down a whole side.

Now realistically I think he's somewhere in the middle. I don't think he'll be the same player and it's why we have to sign someone else on top of him. I will have 0 issues signing Sherman. Even when I hated his guts I always said I'd love to have him here. But my biggest concern with him is his injuries. That's why we have to double up on the position in free agency if we sign him and also draft at least one corner to develop.

Appears that we are meeting with Sherman. I wouldn’t mind if he comes for a decent to price. I still think is he a dick….

Not getting over it. Would much rather many other options…dude is broke down now and wouldn’t bring enough to make it worth letting go how much trash he is. It would be like a Brandon Jacobs signing.

Hard psss. He can fuk off.

More and more reports are coming out that the 49ers are really closing in on making a deal with Sherman. I think he's going through physicals with the team. ****. Hold me, guys, and tell me everything will be alright with this.

Damn man. I guess I need to start becoming okay with this happening but just cannot see myself rooting for this clown…especially considering he will just bring his garbage ass activism and shots at the NFL with him while also bringing diminished skills.

Please god not be a 3 year deal.

I Honesty don’t know what to feel right now. Never hated someone so much and had them come to the team I root for. I think I still might hate him and I hope he doesn’t become a distraction. And I definitely hope he’s not hampered in any way by his injury. At least if he’s full go he should be able to contribute in a positive way and help the team somehow. He better.

Nightmare offseason incoming.

Also not getting AR15, not getting a top guard. We’ll sign Crowell and draft Courtland Sutton.

I woulldn't even be THAT confused about the move if it weren't for his injury concerns. Lynch better hope he knows what he's doing here. He knows that the fanbase was going to have mixed feelings about this. And if his injury proves to be a factor, the honeymoon with him and the fanbase might be over unless the team plays out of their fukking minds overall.

Goes to show you how attractive the 49ers are right now.

I just don't get it. The team didn't have to make risky decisions like this. But here we are. In Lynch/Shanny we trust I suppose.

I get it completely. The staff wants to win and win now. Their careers are on the line. I dont see the risk. Sherman is a loud mouth but he is the type of guy you want on your team. You hate him if he is not.

Sometimes I think Lynch’s success is just blind luck. The Thomas personal love/friendship pick isn’t looking great right now. Jimmy was just handed over to us…

Sherman was his own agent and we settled for 3 yr 39mil? Sherman stays winning against this franchise. Now, he’s going to straight steal from us.

Lynch better go get Robinson now!!!! Mfer.

^^^careers on the line? They have five more years each. Franchise quarterback. They did not need this move. We will see how this shakes out. Just going to have to deal with seeing him in the uniform. Really hope he’s healthy.
