I was thinking of buying a threaded barrel for the p10c, keeping that at home, and conceal carrying something smaller like a 365xl. The ar seems too bulky for my place tbh.

Is the P10C something to carry? Yes, if you can conceal it with what you typically wear. It's not a big gun.

Your rifle with a flash hider or the can is going to be much better as a defensive weapon than the handgun.

If you don't think you can aim your rifle due to angles, use the handgun.

Stop buying guns and go shoot/train.

By the way, there are no boomers here.

5.11 Defender Slim's are my every day run of the mill jean. However, my work often times has me in scenarios where I need to be wearing something slightly nicer. Unfortunately, with most nicer pairs of jeans, I run in to a couple consistent issues:

- the dreaded "5 Beltloop Jean." two in front, one at 3, one at 6, and one at 9. This inevitably leads to the waistband sagging below the belt.

- the rise is so short, that when worn while carrying, there's no room for the boys, and they end up smashed on one side of the inseam.

I'd really really prefer not to have a closet full of "these are carry jeans, and these are ones I CAN'T carry if I'm wearing."

Vertx makes a tac jean, I’ve had good luck with their other stuff, might be worth a go. LAPG has one that might be worth grabbing, super affordable. Googled it and there are a lot of different brands out there, wasn’t expecting that, lol.

This time of year, Sitka Ascent or Kuiu Tiberon. Also Vertx. Most of the time (maybe not super hot or super cold), 5.11 Apex cargo pants. Also Duluth trading company firehose and firehose flex work pants.

Jeans? nah.

"Nicer"? Some of those look fine for nicer IMO. Nice than any denim jeans can, also IMO

Well boys, I got curious and since it was Father's Day… placed an order for a PSA Sabre. Bringing in a quad rail. 13.7 barrel. Pin and weld to bring it to 16 and can fit keymo supressors.

Some specs:

Gas System: Mid-Length
Barrel Steel: 4150V
Twist Rate: 1:7
Receiver Material: Forged 7075 T6
Bolt Carrier Group: PSA Custom Fathers of Freedom BCG by MicroBest with Sprinco Extractor Spring
Bolt Steel: Carpenter 158
Charging Handle: Radian Raptor LT
Trigger: Hiperfire RBT Trigger with JP Reduced Power Springs
Takedown/Pivot Pins: Battle Arms Development
Safety: Radian Talon 45/90 Safety
Buffer Spring: Sprinco White
Bolt Carrier Group: Father’s of Freedom BCG by Microbest with Sprinco Extractor Spring and Carpenter 158 MP Bolt.

Barrel: 13.7" 4150V Nitride. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, with a 1:7 twist, M4 barrel extension, and a mid-length gas system. Barrel is finished off with a PSA 13" Quad-Rail, adjustable gas block, and a JMAC GFHC-E pin and weld muzzle device

Ordered it the other day, leaving to Colorado in a day for a week worth of vacation, and hoping it's when once I get back home.

For jeans, I really like the 2 pairs of Origin Maine jeans I have. A clean and proper fit, but not too tight and comfortable even to IWB carry.

Nice man, happy for you. There are some people who love to chit on PSA, but I bought one of their $400~ dollar MOE setups and I like it. I converted it to .22LR and use it as a cheap plinker. Let use know how the saber lineup is.

I have several other ARs and a couple I've built, but only one PSA upper. Never had issues with it with probably around 2k rounds. It was a good deal so I picked it up. Just wanted to try something different and all the reviews for these were excellent, and the specs look good for the price.

We shall see.

it's the truth jfl, fuk any plastic pistols and fuk H&K in particular lmao

no idea what took me so long to finally look into 1911s.. they're not even very uncommon here

the thing is you also got carry sized 1911s and 2011's… all in different calibers too (.45acp, 9mm and more)
literally no reason to not shoot either a 1911, a 2011 or a sig p210 (gotta keep mentioning the p210 cuz it's up there too imho)
You're probably gonna end up with some custom 1911 like a wilson/nighthawk/ed brown.

They're big but I actually think it's easy to conceal single stackers.

Order Wilson combat 8 rd mags.

The thin profile makes a 1911 commander very easy to conceal. The downside is the weight which requires a good holster.

Round capacity for EDC is way over blown.

Yes. Modern technology is something else

Of course, I never said the sole and exclusive determination was capacity, but you may not have comprehended. Senility and all that lol

Thinking about carrying a snub nose 357 tbh because easily concealed and packs a punch. 6 shots? can't get it done in six then I don't want any part of it.

You're an idiot if you want any part of it to begin with

In a great deal of situations, there are multiple attackers.

Average hit rate in real life, you're moving, the attackers are moving, etc, hit rate for DGU and OIS is about 20%.

Even .357 mag is just a handgun. Handguns are weak and ineffective as a general rule. How does that joke go, what does a person usually do after being shot with a handgun? Whatever they were doing before they were shot with a handgun.

It's not the 70's any more, you can do better than six

I EDC my 1911, absolutely love that gun. I think my next gun will be a Springfield Ronin but with a 4.25" barrel and in 9mm. I want the slightly shorter barrel to avoid getting poked in the butt by it. N-no homo.

Or I might just buy a 2011 stacatto and call it good.

I agree that high capacity for an EDC is overrated too. If the average self defense shooting consists of 3 rounds, carrying almost triple that is fine by me. If I need to send more than 8 (or 9) rounds at someone or multiple people on the street besides a zerg rush, that's a skill issue. For the record, I'm not against high capacity, someone could carry a drum mag and I wouldn't care lol. Carry on.
