I've travelled a lot, and the USA (domestic flights) remains the only country where I've encountered consistent overbooking... US international carriers are also has the most poverty quality wise, and expensive as fuk to boot.

I've travelled domestically in Egypt, South American, Central America, and Africa on local carriers, for the reference.

That was the offer. He probably could have used the $800 to book a flight the same night with another airline. idk what time it was and if there were more seats available on other airline flights.

Again, whining and holding onto the seat like a little baby doesn't help anything.
Or maybe he might actually be a doctor and doesn't give a chit about vouchers and just want to get to his destination? If the deal was so sweet they wouldn't have to assault the guy to get him off the plane, plenty of people would've jumped at the offer. Just take the L and go.

Chang is gonna get a lot of ching ching!

I'm rooting for that brah! Cuz he certainly did not deserve to get dragged out like that at all since it was the airline's fault for even being in this predicament.

ya why didnt people assist in kicking the guy off the plane? when you buy a ticket you agree to the fine print, the airlines legally have the right the literally keep your money and not let you on the plane at all if they feel like it

I cant believe there wasnt one fukin customer - NOT A DOCTOR - that wouldnt volunteer to get off.

Imagine if some guy just got up and was like "ok, ill go" as theyre beating the other guy.

But seriously.. not only denying the 800 bucks which may be paltry but seeing all that chit storm AND seeing the chinese guy return to the plane a 2nd time?

Cant believe there wasnt one customer where the flight wasnt that pertinent

Btw, im not supporting united at all.

from what I've read elsewhere can't remember where but I think they needed 4 volunteers and he happened to be the 4th and the three others already exited the plane.

I dont even care about that actually. My point still remains

If i had heard that dude was a doctor, provided i didnt have something very important.. id prob give it up for.free..

Once again, this is contigent upon me not having anything absolutely pertinent. Which im willing to bet there were more than 4 customers on that plane that didnt have much to do..

I get its their rights and chit but still..

I also cant believe there arent more solutions

Not going to lie, for brief moment it was funny to see the guy get dragged off. They literally chopped his balls off in public.

That said, f*ck Uniter Airlines and I hope this kills their business.

Lmao, fukking moron. Negged.

United Airlines actually state in their contract that before you board they can tell you that you can't board the plane.

The dude was on there already. There is no contract they own that allows this.

They are literally gonna get FUKKED by the long dikk of this asian man's law team.

The dude can claim so much that they'll end up shelling up upwards of 5 million dollars.

Business ethics aside (There has to be more to this)
But $800 bucks is there first offer, and isn't bad
Assuming I'm holidaying and no great rush to be home I'd counteroffer $5000 + accommodation + flight the next day and see what happens from there
Would settle for $2000 + accommodation and fly that night or the next morning

You do realize they legally dont have to state the actual law in their contract right? Law only dictates that they are obligated to ask for volunteers before being able to forcibly remove passangers from the plane, brb not signing a contract anknowledging you cant muder someone because its illegal before getting charged for murder he law lmao fam your dumb and we shall see what this asian man gets in court other than hefty court fees and being counter surd for tresspassing and creating a public disturbance and possibly assault for physically resisting security trying to remove him
