Isn't summer break coming soon? Lmfao.

Hopefully Monaco doesn't get flooded out this weekend. Looks like a lot of rain in the forecast leading up to & through race weekend.

F1 put the 2008 Monaco race up on YouTube. I had it on for the entirety.

They did highlights lmao.

Everything before 2012 was better.

When was the last Monaco race in the rain? I'm expecting chaos if it's really wet.

Looks like silly season has started early this year. Hamilton to Ferrari and Perez replacing him at Mercedes is currently rumoured.

A direct Lewis and LeClerc swap would be more interesting IMO. (LeClerc to Merc, Hamilton to Ferrari.)

LeClerc would of course play it cool but there’s absolutely no way he wants to become driver number 2 to Lewis.

But if that happened, who would replace Perez? Would we see the seat go back to Daniel? Sainz swoop it up?
They do something SUPER wild and get Yuki in there? He’s wild, but he has been driving the **** out of that garbage Alpha Tauri this season and not getting the credit he deserves.

I think they're currently trying to extend Leclerc's contract so I don't think a direct swap is likely. It would be fun if they gave Yuki the chance but I've heard rumours about how high Ricciardo's pay is so it seems more likely they'd give him the chance.

That qualifying was fuking epic! I can't remember the last time we had a session that exciting.

Max is insane....0.2 secs down after the 2nd sector and he gets P1?! What a lap, what a drive.

Felt bad for our man Alonso but this is truly Max's time now.

Holy **** the final few minutes of qualifying was intense, i was entertained! Redbull sandwich tomorrow. Alonso is a complete animal, he steals the show everytime. Ocon nearly getting pole was random af. The whole qualifying session was bizarre in a good way, the track evolution mixed up the driver orders quite a bit.

FUK!

should have had alonso crash into a wall after getting pole so no one else could complete another lap.

Looks like it'll just be another wire-to-wire redbull victory. damn it.

EDIT: ROFLMFAO @ Lance Stroll. c'mon man....

If you watch how Verstappen hits the apex late on the last right hand turn, I feel like that is his entire advantage. Seems like everyone else is too late on the brakes into the turn, and it wrecks their follow-through down the straight. Max seems to ram the brakes earlier, thus allowing him to open the throttle harder through the turn, late apex, giving him a massive leg up on the entire straight.

The different was so small though that I wonder if Red Bull's super DRS was enough to make the difference. I believe they get solid 10-15mph more out of it.

That crash for Perez was basically the nail in his coffin for any chance of a championship.
Not that he had a real shot against a teammate like Verstappen IMO, but now the gap will be too big for him to ever realistically make up unless Verstappen has some DNF’s down the road.

No verstopping Verstappen, him and Nando were a class above the rest of the field. The threatening rain kept things interesting. It was touch and go if Max could go long enough on mediums to see the rain and avoid doing an extra pitstop vs Alonso on hards. No safety cars during the race was a surprise.
