I figured with the start of the new year, it's time for the official 2023 thread. 2022 thread was fairly successful. Hopefully more and more people with come in with their thoughts, opinions, etc with this one.

Of course, I'm rolling with Max and Red Bull to take another drivers championship and Constructors championship. I don't think it will be so dominant this season though. Mercedes will be back competing for podiums every weekend and maybe Ferrari can make something happen under a new team principal.

My disappointment and hatred for Haas is so high right now that it's spewing over to Hulk too. Hope they stay ****ty because fk them for getting rid of Mick for no good reason.

I think, unfortunately, we won't see him back again until Audi. I really hope that happens. I would fking LOVE if Audi wanted 2 German drivers and they picked up Mick and got Vettel out of retirement. Mick would learn so much having someone like Vettel on his team.

Max wins or we riot.

Mick to get 1 race due to Hamilton or George not being able to compete.

Alonso to have a competitive car.

Hamilton to cry more whole season.

Leclerc to not get completely screwed due to Ferrari incompetence.

That's what I want for 2023.
There is but one path....we kill them all.

Mick dented their budget immensely by crashing all the time and getting outpaced by his teammate all the time.

Mick just isn't good enough. I can't see him performing like Norris or Gasly at the moment. Maybe a year on the sidelines at Mercedes will do him some good.

Lots of Mick fanboys ITT. I don't necessarily think he failed hard last season but he definitely didn't really show anything to stand out imo.

Merc won't recover as easily as people think. They're a year behind everyone.

If Ferrari works out reliability issues and their overall management mess they will be the most ferocious car in 2023. Is that likely? Probably not but in pure potential, they have the best car so far.

I'm a RB/VER fanboi so I trust Super Max to deliver.

Andretti / GM / Cadillac F1 bid what do you think?

Andretti have teamed up with General Motors in a bid to enter Formula 1 which, if successful, would also see the famous Cadillac name join the grid.

Team owner Michael Andretti has been lobbying the FIA, F1′s governing body, to expand the 20-car grid and has pushed forward with his plans despite a failed 2021 attempt to purchase Sauber, and resistance from F1 teams who have argued that an 11th team would dilute their revenues.

2021 the car was absolutely ass. Max couldn't have gotten that hunk of **** in the top 10.

2022 the car had a good start, and by the time Mick got the feel for it, they had fallen off big time to everyone else's upgrades. The last 60% or so of the season, he was as fast if not faster than Magnussen in the car (as even admitted by Magnussen himself on multiple occasions). Nothing about Mick's skill level can be told from either season.

Not a fanboy. Just give the kid a fair chance before saying he sucks, etc. That car wouldn't showcase anyone's true skill lol.
And sick of Guenther pretending Magnussen was so incredible compared to Mick when like I said - even Magnussen admitted on numerous occasions that Mick was just as fast as him in the latter half of the season. The team costed Mick points on quite a few race weekends with dog**** tire strategies and pit calls, not Mick's driving.

Ferrari have supposedly lightened the car significantly (which will of course not only decrease lap time, but also help with their tire deg issues they fought the second half of last season), AND figured out how to run the engine at another ~30HP higher WHILE increasing reliability. If true - they will be a serious fighter next season.

Merc has supposedly completely re designed their suspension and figured out the exact causes and reasons of their porpoising along with various other upgrades here and there. Judging by how strong they were at the end of last season, I can easily see them back to fighting for podiums every weekend with RB and Ferrari.

I don't think it will be as easy for Max to just **** on everyone this season as it was last season.

Would be cool to see an 11th team IMO. I'd love to see a TRUE American based team. Haas is owned by an American and that's about the extent of it. Their HQ, basically all the employees, etc are all in the UK. Nothing really that American about their team lol.

As much as id LOVE to see a 11th team, I think my priorities would be to get lower teams to beable to be on their own and independent than being basically Mercedes A, and Mercedes B, etc.

I would like a true straight up answer as to why its been so tough. A full fledged American team would do wonders for the sports growth. I know there are bigger markets then just USA but, the amount of money USA can bring from a purchasing stand point for at races and gear would help with my initial request.

-------------

I too was bummed about Mick but, he had it coming. That move in Miami was such a kick to the nuts, and cost himself and the team a lot of valuable positions at that time.

Surprised to see how many people think Danny has a chance to over take Checo. Max FTW.

Hopefully the FIA doesn't cuck to Mercedes again mid season. As well as pumped that they should be curb stomping woke agenda's

I think the surprise of the season will be Williams. Although after the firing I think it might be not as promising.

Hamilton's already crying about this saying he'll quit if they enforce this rule. The moron doesn't realise the majority of fans are sick of his pandering to social and political agendas.

I'm hoping for a legitimate 3 way race for the constructor's championship but I think Redbull won't regress enough for it to happen.

Max will still take the driver's but 5 guys racing for second place seems like a real possibility. It should be a good season!

Dunno brah.

New principal.
Supposedly 30 more HP engine and better reliability.
Supposedly lighter chassis.

Pretty sure I read they fired their lead strategist too.
I think they gonna bring it this year.

His fans eat this crap up bro. They practically fap to his daily lonely autistic ig posts "u hav 2 luv ur self n keep push - lov u all." He's the worst actor on earth. I still remember what a pathetic crying bish he was when Nico beat him.

Man this part of the pre-season is so unexciting. Brb these are the colours of our car but you really can't tell anything about the design and anything slightly innovative will be hidden until the last day of testing.
