Adam Aron tweeted the actual share holder numbers, according tho those numbers retail investors own 80% give or take of amc.

Institutional investors own 30.18% and retail owns 80% according to the numbers. No synthetics/naked shorts though?

Red day for me, barely though. I’m glad I didn’t buy into any more memes. Entry levels just not there. I’m watching PLUG though, possibly another entry point soon.

I bought the VDE (energy etf) dip around $45, about $78-79 now, I think it has some room to grow but trimmed it a bit too.

My next initial target would be ~$37.75.

AMC is likely on it's way down.

Flip it immediately.

I mean they're also under investigation by the DOJ and SEC for a range of stuff and are facing lawsuits from shareholders, but that's all pretty minor

Maybe so, maybe not. You were saying to get rid of it in the 20s right?

Several catalysts today, and set up is even better after today for a squeeze, cpi data coming out people selling off some, distraction squeeze stocks selling off. I'll continue taking my chances with it.

I will eat my words if it goes down below $40 in AH today and/or premarket tomorrow though.(not going to happen amigo)

For those that need(or will need) inspiration:

"That's what I do in my foundation. I like to tell these kids, listen, I'm not a fairy tail, I'm not a story that you watch on T.V. or that you read in a book. I'm a fact. I grew up here… which means it's possible. As long as you believe in something, in a dream, as long as you have a dream and believe in yourself, I think success is just a matter of time "

I don't believe that's what I said.

I think I said that it bounces from ~$24 low and sees new highs or retreats to ~$17.xx.

It seems I was kinda right if I remember correctly. I also said not to be greedy. Unrealized gains are just that.

Yeah I won’t buy any AMC or GME without it going much lower. You will have plenty of bag holders not letting go and it will eventually pump again. But realistically, both are obsolete businesses.

Fair enough, couldn't remember exactly what you said. But a doubter prior to it even getting to the 20s nonetheless. Now it's been in the 50s-60s for days.

We will see, you may be right about it going down from here.

How are movie theaters obsolete? People still like going. They were busy before covid and they are picking up again now

I can't wait to get into movie theatres again but AMC has been losing money for a long af time. Instead of going Chapter 11 and being restructured into a profitable model the way a failing company should in a capitalist economy, the meme stonk rally is allowing them to dump shares and stay afloat for longer than they should

Unfortunately we can bet on nothing materially changing and the company continuing to lose money despite all this. If they had a hope of turning things around, it would have happened in one of the many previous years where they were floundering

It’s an outdated business model. The studios make the most meanwhile companies like AMC hemorrhage cash and assets. Why else would both AMC and Cineworld need so much of an injection to survive 2021? I do personally like going to the movies, especially with my kids but I think the average millennial now would rather sit at home.

So would I. We were in theaters every other week in 2018/19 being my boys always wanted to see anything Marvel. I do like some models where they have some decent food, craft beer.
