nice, always thought Zoom should try make an amp - all their stuff seems really solid (multi fx pedals, handheld recorders etc)

but I just thought in terms of functionality, but I just have real fond memories of multi fx pedals.

This **** is hard AF. I've been playing for a year+ and still get fatigued playing chords. I can't change chord shapes fluidly for an entire song without fatigue. I focus on good technique. Been playing like 20 mins a day for 15 months - i'd play longer but my arm goes limp. I'm in my 40s

Is this normal? It's frustrating cause I know theory/harmony from playing bass 10 years. My ear knows what to do but my hands/arm is a little bitch

Basically you are building up the muscles in your hand. Just like building muscle in the gym. Do you take a day off playing? That can really produce some results! Different guitars are harder to play than others, also thicker strings make you really work for it. I think it is pretty normal. Play with a group, looper or drum backing track to make you hold chords forever. It makes it feel less like work.

How many guitars do your guys own? I’m on the fence about buying a new one as I already own 6 guitars. 4 are solid body electrics, and one electric bass guitar and acoustic. I’m looking at this as it seems more versatile than the ones I already own and it’s a limited run

Howdy….

I'm rhythm player/song writer and not a collector so I only own only (3): '77 Ibanez Tele Silver Series - '73 Guild Acoustic D40 Sunburst - '74 Martin copy acoustic (beater)
If I were to round out be my axes I'd get a a semi-hollow ES type.

Don't know what style you play/practice or your skill level but have you considered a semi-hollow to round out your choices since you already have the solid bodies?
Are you playing/writing songs, playing riffs to shred to or the eternal perfect tone search?
Seriously, what would be the benefit of another solid body especially at that price point?

Just a thought Pop…..good luck on your choice.

I mainly play rock and metal, lately in terms of songwriting I’m trying to develop a psychedelic/stoner rock type of sound. My solid body electrics are all Gibson/Epiphone humbucker guitars

This one is as well but you can split the coils on this guitar to get more traditional Jaguar/Fender sounds out of it. Truth be told I do want a fender style guitar to round out my collection and I felt like this guitar would be a good compromise. I don’t NEED it but I definitely want it lol

I get it….it's not about "need" for us, desire plays a bigger decision maker sometimes.

Still, you're saying you can't find the 'type of sound' you desire with your existing collection along with any outboard gear?
Have you actually written a song, fleshed it out to a finished, recorded product and then try to find (with your 1/2 solid bodies) the tone(s) that works well?
Personally, I care far more about arriving at a finished creative product and keeping concern over minutia where it belongs.

Not saying you shouldn't get another axe, just trying to employ some pragmatism, in this context.

Qualifier: I don't know shvt about pickups, single vs. whatever, humbuckers….I'm clueless on that front.

Back to it.

I have 11 guitars. All solid body 6 string electric. I realized I'm not really an acoustic player so I sold my acoustics. I feel guilty sometimes that I don't play some of my guitars much, but I'll be shopping laying in bed tonight

I told myself I'd stop at Lucky 13

when funds allow I'm going to get a Suhr Badger amp, it's quite Marshall-esque in ways actually

The irony is I bought my other guitars as didn’t like the strat sound but just needed a few pedals lol.

I got those pedals as was used by John Squire on the first Stone Roses album.

My HSH strat will be 3 weeks as needed to be ordered from the US.
damn I know you got a chorus pedal but this one is incredible, srs dude give it a listen on a YT vid

I ordered three other chorus pedals online as I’m not sold on the sound. I will pick the best one if the four.

I ordered these:
- Roland CE-2W Waza Craft
- Electro-Harmonix Eddy
- BOSS (Electronics) Guitar Effect Chorus CH-1

I’m fine ordering chorus pedals now. Cant chance listening to any more 🙈

At the moment I just tune the guitars and play. There is a shop not too far away. I’ll just plug and play.

nice dude. there was a music shop I went to ages ago that had every boss pedal connected and you could try every one. there's something really cool about individual boxes vs multi fx units.

have you seen this overdrive, it's mad (those knobs get saved and moved into the presets). like a super luxury overdrive pedal

it's a massive money sink music gear

yeah true, i just love how you can always swap and change pedals, it's a whole different world. but totally understand people that just want a unit and have everything under it to 'get the job done' (like a helix).

damn dude, that strat looks nice. you going to put some aftermarket pickups in it?
