Only thing I'm worried about is when you make the comparison to the dot com bubble a lot of useless chit literally went down to zero. Of course crypto is different and BTC has always been dominant. But I don't see -that- much intrinsic value in BTC, the "storage of value" and "digital gold" arguments aren't that convincing to me. So maybe I'll let the BTC price be the indicator of my buying point then spread around the money a little bit.

For how long is BTC going to be dominant? A couple of years is likely. But is it going to be king in twenty years if blockchain really does that off?

These are the only real value props in ALL OF CRYPTO. Everything else is projection and likely failure, aside from perhaps smart contracts. Everything else is crap. The market can't be healthy with people being euphoric over tons of crap. The Laser Eyes nonsense was the big tell.

With the way governments are using money and the regressive monetary policies gaining a foothold, a true store of value is INCREDIBLY important.

The most basic and important attribute of a cryptocurrency is security of the technology. That is the intrinsic value of BTC as a store of value, to answer the person's post you quoted. If you're still questioning the 'why' of BTC you shouldn't be risking money in this space or should dyor more.

The same security makes it insecure. You lose a private key, forget some code, lose a hardware wallet or your hard drive where you have some important info stored burns out. Guess what, you're fukked. Also a "store of value" doesn't generally fluctuate 20% in price within a few hours. That's something a highly volatile speculative asset would do. Just because somebody doesn't agree with you doesn't mean he should do more research or hasn't done his research yet. "If you don't have blind faith in BTC do more research or don't invest in crypto". Just lol. I've been investing in crypto for nearly five years now and I'll definitely be putting in some money again once I deem the price right.

You can see the big green candle on every chart at 18:20 when Powellspoke and then it dumps right after to take profit. Probably bleeds til end of market when it pumps
