Now with the Patriots trade, tonight we now have:

59, 70, 74, 95

Some potential guys we can get:
59: (edge rusher) Lorenzo Carter, Obo Okro
70: (WR) Chalk, Gallop, Pettis, St Brown
74: (LB) Warner, Jewell, Leonard
95 (CB) Meeks, Yiadom, Hill

or we can trade 59 and 74 to move up and get Harold Landry

tonight should be fun

I love Landry and would be ecstatic if they traded up for him but I also couldn’t blame them for using all of those picks considering we still have a ton of holes.

Still need receivers, a left guard, RB depth, corner depth, linebackers and a fukkin pass rusher.

Tartt is now extended through 202 and could worth up to 15 million.

Tartt in three seasons appeared in 39 games, logged 124 tackles 3.5 sacks, two interceptions and nine pass break ups. Tartt was Pro Football Focus’ 15th-highest graded safety in the NFL last season prior to suffering a fractured forearm in November.

https://ninerswire.usatoday.com/2018...ignninerswire/

I am happy to see that. I like Tartt. Hopefully he stays healthy!

What I like most about it…is Rosen is such an insufferable ******* and hatable character.

Don't know if we could've got Pettis if we waited, he's super solid route runner, great feet, and he can play slot or outside. Also his returning is legit. Hope it pans out well.

Glad we locked Tartt up for 2 years but Colbert is my favorite safety lol. Still like Tartt a lot tho.

Didn't see that pick coming. Shanny knows his receivers though so we'll see. I don't think he'll be primarily in the slot, I think he can play a little outside if he adds some muscle, which I think he can. He reminds me a lot of Keenan Allen.

I guess when he guy holds the record for most touchdown returns in college it is ok? But still Trent Taylor… the backfield is going to be a little crowded now and will be hard to get everyone reps. Ok let’s see some picks for d.

Watching Pettis I’m pretty impressed. He runs super crisp routes. Seems like a kid that wants to work his ass off. I think he can play the X but he’s gonna have to put some weight on. His return ability should be fun to watch. Still would’ve rather have had Miller or Washington. And definitely wish we didn’t trade up for him.

I’m super high on James Washington and the Steelers drafting him further cements my belief in him. Steelers are the best team at drafting receivers.

Hoping for Josh Sweat with our next pick.

If we don’t go pass rusher there I wouldn’t be upset if they grab Arden Key in the 4th.

Not a huge fan of the first two picks but I like our two third rounders.

We still haven’t addressed pass rush which is very concerning to me. There’s a possibility Josh Sweat is there in the 4th for us, but we still have a ways to go to get the pass rush we had back in the Smith/Smith days.

I’m forced to revisit us not going hard after AR15. If we signed him, and he signed a lot cheaper than most were expecting, we could’ve actually traded up in the second and got Harold Landry instead of Pettis.

We could’ve had a stud receiver and a stud pass rusher and still been well under the cap.

But I digress.

I'll be honest I'm surprised with how the draft has unfolded and i would've gone in a different direction. Thought for sure when we moved up in the 2nd it would be for Landry or Isiah Oliver or Josh Jackson but when I step back and think I can't hate the picks especially after we traded Trent.

I had Pettis as a good fit for us early on in the process but a little surprised we felt the need to move up for him…as you can see I had a lot of WRs I liked for us and a lot are still available but when I step back I realize the return ability he has is something they wanted and one we haven't had in forever. I also don't see him as competing with Taylor but not sure how much playing time he gets at WR next year but will be key on special teams.

QB: Mason Rudolph, Baker Mayfield
RB: Ronald Jones, Sony Michel, Rashaad Penny, Akrum Wadley, Ito Smith
WR: Calvin Ridley, Marcell Ateman, Christian Kirk, Anthony Miller, DJ Chark, Dante Pettis , Equanimeous St. Brown, Simmie Cobbs, DJ Moore
TE: Dallas Goedert, Hayden Hurst
OL: Quenton Nelson, Frank Ragnow, Braden Smith, Chukwuma Okorafor, Alex Cappa, Isaiah Wynn, Wyatt Teller and James Daniels
Pass rushers: Harold Landry, Marcus Davenport, Hercules Mata'afa, Jeff Holland
LB: Roquan Smith, Rashaan Evans
DBs: Josh Jackson, Jaire Alexander, Isaiah Oliver, Quenton Meeks, Kevin Tolliver.

If I'm doing a mock for the 49ers right now I'm looking to do something along the lines of

1. Harold Landry
2. Rashaad Penny(doubt Jones or Michel would be around still)
3a. Frank Ragnow
3b. Quenton Meeks
4+: too hard to predict who goes there at this point.
The biggest question I have is pass rush. I'd love to get Josh Sweat, OBO or Armstrong at this point but we have a low pick in the 4th…see what happens.

Also would still love to get Meeks even though we just took Moore(another pick I don't mind but not sure if he can play corner)

Gonna trust the process…so far they've earned that right. Just hope it's not a Trent Baalke situation where he did a lot of good things early and then thought he was smarter than everyone else.

One thing I've said heading into the offseason whether free agency or draft is I trust Kyle with any additions on offense. I thought he guys we added last year were super meh and it turned out he knew what he was doing. He's earned that trust.

On defense I like our picks so far. Warner is a great pick. Moore is talented and while i'd prefer someone like Meeks we'll see what happens.

May have to hold down the fort with the pass rushers we have now and hope to land a good one next year as the pass rush class should be much stronger early on.

It's almost unfair…

Super smart of them to take Washington and then get Mason Rudolph on top of it. Steelers not messing around. Thankfully they've been terrible at drafting DBs lately and the Edmunds pick in the first round with so many other quality safeties available was very odd.

I posted that before they took him I believe.

Seems like this Foster BS has turned Lynch into a pussy. Not blasting the picks, but he seems to be going for high IQ, high character guys over talented guys. Not sure why we passed on Josh Sweat right now.

I get that the organization wants good guys on the team, but in these later rounds you gotta take chances on finding ballers.

I'll be honest I'm very confused by our picks today but I'm going to hold back on making judgements.

Right now I'm very puzzled though. Last year what we did made a TON of sense. This year…i don't get it.

Maybe the team knows something we don't in regards to the pass rush situation.
