me personally…if i have a 16"+ I want to have all the performance at my fingertips that the firearm can provide. In other words, with your set up I'd want my WL to be able to positive ID to 200 yards which the rein 3.0 can do. Nothing worse than being able to reach out and touch the threat but can't positive ID it to pull the trigger due to shortcoming of auxiliary equipment.

just take a look at their mounts….plenty of options to make best use of rail real-estate

I don't know what else you have mounted on the top and sides of your rail or how long your rail is…but I have a full size Rein on my 10 in rail and no problems.

Is that black band for sling storage? And if so is it just a rubber band?

Is that the micro rein? Any reason you went that route vs full size?

Oof. Yeah, the can and two stamps alone eat up close to $1500. Doesn’t take much to get up there with quality parts. My 14.5 with an ATACR is probably closer to $7k-$8k smh lol.

Yeah, just a standard ranger band for sling retention. Been using them for years.

That’s correct, Rein 2.0 Micro. I have the full size 2 in my 14.5. Reason for the Micro on the 11.5 was to keep weight down and more uniform with a smaller system. CD is actually about to release the Rein 3.0 Micro, pretty cool.

If I had to do it over again I’d probably get either the full size or Micro for both, not one of each, simply for battery simplicity. Now, I have to stock two different battery sizes for the two different light sizes. Not a huge deal, but not ideal.

Awesome. Will def need to cut up one of my old bike tubes. I mentioned this a couple pages back but I’m currently debating to go micro or full size. It’s not an sbr but my rail is only 7inches. So, curious if the full size would be too much up front (although not mounting anything else up there.). It’s my only rifle currently so maybe makes sense to do full size and have all the power.

I’m so bad at making decisions like this about minute details.

Look at the Torrent SBR mount from Cloud (pic below). I run them on both the 11.4 with the Micro and the 14.5 with the full size Rein, primarily to push the light further to mitigate the shadow of the cans. As mentioned earlier, if I redid it I'd get the same light twice. I'd honestly get two Rein 3 Micros just for weight/bulk savings.

What IWB holster do you guys recommend for gym shorts and would I be able to carry a G17 that way?

I’ve been carrying my bodyguard since I can pocket holster it but I need something with more rounds and something I’m more confident shooting. The bodyguard has a horrible trigger but it’s easy to carry.

At work, 3.5 hours ago there was a shooting and I’m finally waking up to getting my carrying situation right again.

Ever since I gained weight I stopped carrying my Glock. Now I’m trying to figure out a way to carry it with my shorts until I lose the weight and put on pants with my holstering belt.

G33 or G45 magnifier for EXPS?

I'm leaning G33 because it's tested/proven but 5x would be spicy to have.

I have both. My 16” AR15 was one I spent only $800 on parts not including optics. But I have a MK18 that I spent $3k total on parts. They both shoot great imo.

I spent $3k on another 300blk SBR too that I had to spend a lot more time getting it timed well enough to actually cycle - even had to work up the perfect load for it too.

Money don’t mean jack in AR15 world IMO.

Agreed but in the event where I need magnification on the EXPS, wouldn't it make more sense to have 5x? Slightly better eye relief on it as well.

I'll do some math I guess…

Gun $2k
Can $850
Stamps $400
Optic $600
Mount $150
Light & mount $350
Furniture $150
Tuned gas tube $80
MD $75
Sling $50

So definitely not 5k. I was off…by a lot.

Still up there. It threw me off because my upper alone was $2k and I’m all in at just shy of $5k lol.

I haven’t totaled up my 14.5 (also KAC) but with an ATACR it’s probably closer to $7k FML.

Just placed an order for these today. I regret nothing.

That RIA is a smoking deal for a double stack 1911, eventually I want to build another AR, and for $50 the dagger lower will be my first striker fired pistol. Plus I wanted to build a Glock style gun to see what the fuss is about them.
I have the nickel plated upgraded RI .45 with the skeletonized hammer and trigger. Its been rock solid so far and looks great
