Next MFC thread is gonna be called fuk Farley

Please and ty XOXO

Bought a phlster enigma, I’m excited to carry my Glock 17 with surefire. Hopefully it’s comfortable and I can’t wait to add an RMR to it.

I’ve lost my front suppressor sight so I had to order another. I don’t know where it could have possibly been lost at.

I got my FFL goodies picked up, and got my CCW class done today. Now I need to fill out my forms and go to the LVPD and pay more money to our overlords to exercise my rights.

I'm looking at a 300BO upper build, and I'm considering building my own, then having a gun smith pin and weld a suppressor on it. I have some questions.

Can I legally build a SBR, buy a suppressor, and when the suppressor ships to my FFL, I can have them pin and weld it? I can own an SBR legally, but it becomes illegal when I slap it on a lower? I'm looking to have a total length of 16"-16.5".

So far, my only wants are it to be in 300BO, and I'm focused on a weight savings build. I want to have a light larp rifle. Eotech, flashlight, sling mount QD up front and maybe flipup Magpul sights. I know it's not the lightest EoTech, but I'm going to use my 512 since I already have it. I'm going to get a LPVO for my Larue rifle to replace it.

I'm assuming you're talking about pinning and welding in order to avoid the SBR tax stamp, is that right? Might be doable, I don't have any experience though.

To me, the straightforward path would be to just build an SBR and form 1 it. The wait on form 1's isn't very long and you maintain the ability to remove the suppressor for cleaning/maintaining.

My primary pants are OR Ferrosis. They’re sort of a soft shell and extremely breathable. I run hot so they’re great for that. They are pretty thin and don’t offer a ton of protection from any type of rough ground, that’s the only downside.

I also use OR SeaTac pants, which offer a bit more protection.

I recently picked up a pair of knock off Cryes that I’ll try out. My buddy picked up a pair of Crye Hot Weather G4s and they’re ****in amazing. Just not sure I can stomach over $300 for ****in range pants lol.
Yeah i just ended up ordering 2 more pairs of HTs and a pair of Advance Combats off fleabay and a pair of crye pads for em. They held up for a few years while i beat the brakes off them at the range, running drills on BLM land, and lots and lots of long range hikes.

I've read that some shops will use solder instead of actually "welding" the suppressor. So it wouldn't be a big deal to me to remove it for cleaning purposes, and I don't expect to shoot it anywhere near as much as my other rifles or pistols, aside from occasionally training with it. Since it would not technically be an SBR either, it would be easier to cross state lines too if I ever wanted to go to training courses or shoot outside of NV for gun ranges. Oh yes, and give $200 less to the government. Most importantly, lol.

Option 3, wait form the brace rule to be shut down and build a pistol and skip P/W and an SBR stamp.

I keep trying to have tabs on the status of this, but search engines still show articles from earlier this year, or last year. Is it looking good that it'll get thrown out?

ED, I hear you on not wanting to give the government money and maintaining the flexibility of taking it out of state. I would add though that the cost of having the gunsmith pin and weld the suppressor would probably get you a pretty good chunk of the way to a stamp.
