Two things.

Although I’m not a Ward fan really as the constant disappointment and injuries are too much for me, the nice left hand he gave Hopkins got me pumped. Put Hopkins on the ground. Nice to see he has some fight.

Also, Lynch needs to just shut the f up. Why does he feel as if he needs to be the voice of matters such as McKinnon’s availability? Shanahan is the brains and let him speak on team injuries. It’s another item, in the long list, that just seems that is not his place. I’m sure we all knew he was out…it’s shanahans team.

Once again I think you're getting bent out of shape over nothing. John and Kyle have been doing things together and John isn't stupid. He's not revealing anything secret or anything that Kyle wouldn't reveal on his own.

That's been how it is with them since the first presser. John is the more talkative of the two and Kyle basically fills in the gaps regarding football questions.

More of a Gary Cooper guy…strong silent type. I would prefer he be a GM and less interaction with the media. I’m probably jaded due to the Baalke/Harbaugh fiasco, but want to remove any many causes of tension as possible.

Haven't watched outside of a few replays since it's not live here but it's vanilla D in preseason and we have several guys out. Hopefully it will come together once we open things up a bit and Sherman is out there

Vanilla D or not, our corners getting beat left and right is a concern. Nothing new though since that's been our weak spot for like a decade.

It appears Joe Williams has a fractured rib? Well his case to make the team is over. IR it sounds like but at this point why keep him?

Yeah I think even putting Williams on the IR shows a bit of favoritism.

Supposedly he was looking more focused this camp but it wasn't translating in the games so far, granted our running game hasn't looked great regardless outside of a few Moster runs but the experiment is close to being over.

It wouldn't surprise me to see him go to another team and have some good years but also wouldn't shock me to see him do nothing in this league.

Beathard has a foot sprain. Haven't looked that much into it yet as to how serious it is, but this gives Mullens a good shot at #2/

It gives him a shot but I don't see it being a "good" shot.

Beathard hasn't exactly been playing well and he needs to do a much better job of getting the ball out but he's actually played in games that mattered and didn't completely suck.

He has to play lights out now. Liek you said Beathard has actually played and has some games under his belt.

I am also happy to see a lot of backlash from the new helmet rule. Monsters hit should not have been called. That was a great tackle.

I think Williams has no shot at making the roster, Mostert or Alfred for sure but I am thinking Mostert takes it.

First team O looked good, love the Pettis kid so far even tho he tipped the pick. First team D was meh but not overly concerned. Agreed Jimmy Ward hasn't looked great either not sure what he has to offer but hope he turns it up in the regular season. My biggest concern is pass rush. No sacks last game and barely any pressure, we can't afford that, Saleh has to figure something out or we have to have the DL step up. I'm hoping with Buck and Armstead in there it will make a different but Arik still isn't even healthy. We need a edge rusher who can put the QB down.

Excited to see more starters play longer this week and get to see who makes the roster up coming. Def excited still for the season with Jimmy at the helm anything is possible.

Side note, would any of you be interested in playing a pick em style game I created for the NFL season, if so PM me and I can shoot you more info. I would appreciate it, the game is still in its infancy but I want to make it a big thing and hoping to use this season as a "trial" run for the future app/site, so the more players I could get the better. Let me know.

Pass rush to me was our #1 need this year…so it was a bit disappointing we didn't address it at all but as long as our picks turn into great players I can deal with seeing someone like Landry who I loved for us ball out for a team like the Titans who we see once every 4 years unless it's in the SB.

Next year's pass rush class definitely seems top notch but of course everyone wants pass rushers so who knows who will be available and where we'll be picking.

I think it's pretty obvious that we don't have outside rushers who can consistently win on their own. The only saving grace for me is that in preseason defenses are fairly vanilla so you don't see teams going heavy blitzing, running stunts and things that can help an anemic pass rush.

Plus while it was a small sample size the few snaps where Thomas and Buckner were out there together versus Dallas they were able to combine for a sack against two pretty damn good players. Need those two to stay healthy and keep getting better.

Hopefully we find a stud outside rusher next draft and really take that D to another level.

I don't understand why they keep playing Watson at DE. I don't think I ever seen him get pressure and he's never been a rusher. Pita, Marsh and the guy we got from the Chargers should be our 3 rush ends. Find out what they have this year so we know exactly what we have before the next draft.

I understand why we don't have a pass rush. I keep telling people its year 2 of a rebuild and building a team takes time.

This year I am doing something I have said I would never do…. I am playing in a fantisy league against 8 of my neighbors. Not really looking forward to it as I hate going against my own team. Any insider tips or people I should try to snag? I have started to look at stats for last year and looking at about 10 people in each position I would to draft.

Loading up on niner players should actually be a good idea this year. I think Goodwin's current average draft position is a great value. Kittle too

How many people in the league? 9? Or are there other people involved?

10 team leagues values are different. Every team will look stacked so you don't want to overdraft.

Do you know the scoring yet? Points per reception?

Scoring is very important. You want to make sure your board is stacked accordingly. When I first joined my big money league I was so used to the idea that RBs win FF championships that I didn't review the scoring to notice that my league at the time was HEAVILY scored towards QBs and I learned the hard way after waiting a while to grab a QB.

Where you're picking is also important. I'll definitely be targeting Goodwin and Kittle but obviously they're getting a lot more love these days so it may not be meant to be.

Rule #1 when paying FF leave your homer goggles at home.

First year my buddy who was a Giants fan played FF with us he drafted Eli Manning in the first round. Everyone laughed…he ended up winning the league lol. Though it wasn't due to Eli.

If it's PPR you obviously want to value running backs who get lots of receptions. This year top 6 pick should get you one of those studs.

I also think these days there are a lot of talented QBs who can get you some big payoffs.

IMO go RB and WR heavy early and if a QB looks too good to pass up in rounds 4-5 nab him, otherwise stack up. QBs for the most part tend to be healthier than the other positions so you don't want to find yourself scouring the waiver wire for a starting RB but have 3 QBs on your roster.

If some guy wants to hoard QBs to try and trade them later let him.

Also the best QBs in FF may not be the best QBs in the real games.

Cam Newton may be a better FF QB than Jimmy or even Tom Brady because of his rushing. But he may not be as consistent. But it's another reason not to jump on a QB early IMO.

As I said I panicked a little last year and drafted Aaron Rodgers in the first round(my parents were over and the draft started later than it was supposed to, next thing i know i'm on the clock with 40 seconds left) I regretted the pick instantly.

What did I get myself into…. We have 9 total so far that are playing. I really do not know anything else. I am doing homework right now and making a list of players for each position that I like and I am also looking at stats from last year as well.

It's pretty fun actually and gives you an extra reason to keep an eye on games you may normally not care about.

Biggest thing to find out is if it's a point per reception league. That drives up the receivers price. And also if QB passing TDs are 6 points(same as rushing/receiving ones)

Sometimes being a novice helps out, like i said my buddy won the league even making the AWFUL pick of Eli Manning in the first round(i think he was picking 2nd too)

Just avoid picking guys out of the league or injured for the year already and you should be fine

Eli Harold Is now traded. He goes to the lions for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2020. Good IMO he sucks…

F&ck! How the hell are we going to replace Harold's ability to rush the passer?

not srs.

Eli was a good dude and I loved the pick at the time but just wasn't getting it done. Time to move on to younger players who hopefully can get better production.

Oh and the way this team has drafted so far in the 7th round that's a damn good return!

Adrian Colbert
Jullian Taylor
Richie James

All look like at worst quality depth players. Colbert is obviously a starter.
