Not mad at getting rid of Eli, not mad at what we got for him, what he's worth the way we've drafted 7th rounders lately. Dumervil or is a guy gonna get a shot to make a name for himself this year?

Would anyone here be upset if we traded our next two first rounders for him? I’d be ecstatic. Our picks should be in the 20’s, especially if we get him.

Still kills me that we drafted 2 behind Cleveland the one year they decided to not go full retard. Imagining us with Myles Garrett…hnnnngg. I know it would’ve affected our team in other spots (no Witherspoon), but that guy is a freak.

Hell no.

Yes next year's rookie class looks to have some great edge rusher potential but we're not getting a chance at a Nick Bosa. I'd be shocked if we were picking top 10 without a serious injury to Jimmy and other key players.

To me Mack is in his prime and would turn this defense into a probable top 10 unit.

Buckner, Thomas and Mack….sign me the fuk up. You could put Eli Harold on the other side of that group and he could get pressure just because the OL would be so focused on the other guys.

And we have Kap to thank for the #2 pick 2 years ago….we just to go for 2 points against the Rams. Then again Cleveland went full potato with 1st and goal at the 4 and the ****ers ended up LOSING 10+ yards and settling for a FG in OT…only to let Pittsburgh backups drive down the field for a winning TD.

I love my boy Sully and expect a big improvement from him but Garrett is a beast.

Would it not also have an affect on us getting foster? Garrett is a damn beast tho…he has been killing it this preseason.

Hate the browns just because of the clown show Jackson.

No point worrying about it now but technically they could've still pulled off the move up for Rueben but who knows which pick we would've lost out on doing so.

Hopefully Thomas takes a huge step forward so we don't have that remorse. Same goes for McGlinchey and Pettis making me forget about us passing on Harold Landry who has looked very explosive as a pass rusher for Tennessee.

Big takeaway from today’s game was how dominant our line play was. Created a bunch of room for Morris on offense and Jimmy G didn’t get touched from my memory. And we actually got a lot of pressure on Luck and they couldn’t run anywhere on us.

Think we have to keep Morris on the roster. He looked good and he’s the missing element from our run game. We need some power.

Attaochu actually getting good pressure out there. Hopefully he can stay healthy and give us some sacks.

Kind of worried about Foster's concussion. He has history of them…we need that dude healthy and out of trouble. Should be ok for week 3 but these are serious these days.

OL played well but Indy front 4 isn't exactly a challenge even close to what they'll face against the Vikings but it's still encouraging. Though I would like to see Jimmy get hit less after the ball is out. It will happen but the less shots he takes whether before the ball is out or later is obviously better for us.

I do think Morris makes this team. Best RB performance so far this preseason and they need a vet with McKinnon and Breida banged up.

By next week we will have our final roster for the season. Anyone have any surprise cuts they may see?

Ward- Injured again. Either cut, traded, or stashed away
Malcom Smith- Signed him for good money last year and has not played in a game yet. So far this preseason he has been injured again. Either cut or traded (not likely)

Those are my two extremes… Will it happen probably not.

I'll add Earl Mitchell - Although decent his backups DJ Jones and Sheldon Day have shown they can do just as much as him

Agreed… It depends on how much the team values veteran leader ship or whatever they like to say.

No stashing Ward away since he's gone after this year.

If Foster wasn't out I could see Smith getting cut but think we hold on to him.

Ward, Armstead must be in trade talks for sure.

Jullian Taylor may be a keeper as well. Pretty great track record so far in the 7th round from this front office/coaching staff.

Colbert, James and Taylor.

Call me crazy but i think the rams just f’ed themselves. Sure he is good but that is a lot of money. Just wait for them to have to extend their qb and anyone else. The going rate for qbs is going higher. Our entire oline isn’t even that much money. I can’t imagine having two contracts worth that much money. Sure the salary cap goes up a little every year but that is still so much money.

I think Shanny will know how to use McKinnon effectively, especially as a receiver. I don't think he excels as an in-between the tackles runner, but the line is looking better and he can definitely thrive in outside-zone. I really can't wait to see this offense in action. There's no doubt in my mind that the 49ers are going to be one of the top offenses this year.

#49ers RB Jerick McKinnon made a cut on the last play of practice, nobody around him and went down. Shanahan says team is concerned about it. "Something with a knee, we'll find out later. We're nervous about it, that's for sure."

49ers’ RB Jerick McKinnon did tear his ACL while making a cut on the last play of practice Saturday with nobody around him, per source.

McKinnon now done for the season. Matt Breida and Alfred Morris time.

It's not the end of the world but I was looking forward to seeing him in this offense and the mismatches he would provide as a pass catcher. Hopefully Breida steps up and Morris helps the running game.
