Speaking of magnification with 1x capabilities, I have been toying with the idea of getting a magnifier for the 11.5. I've briefly used them in the past and was indifferent to them. My other rifle is the 14.5 with ATACR, so I have magnified capabilities already, but I have been getting the itch to try a magnifier. Wish I could rent one for a few range trips to know for sure. Maybe that's a new business idea, renting out gear like that.

I have a G45 and a PA GLX 6x. Im really on the magnifier train now vs LPVO at this point. Doing drills and transitions its easier for me to flip the mag vs rotating the dial. 6x is clearer at full magnification vs my viper and faster transition plus much lighter however the eye relief is a bit tougher to deal with

Does any other manufacturer make a stubby grip that looks like this? I already have a magpul stubby, and like the look of this, but fuggin’ a, 70 for a grip is kinda lame.

Rosco 16" barrel / gas block / charging handle
Surefire muzzle break
BCM receiver and handguard
Sons of Liberty BCG
Wilson Combat trigger

Shoots great.

Another build on the way.
Ive built a few and yea theres a satisfaction from building your own, but my DD 18" Ambush I got in 2015 is still my fav rifle.

Roscoe is underrated. My newer 6920s are Roscoed and it’s prolly one of my most accurate out of the box mil-spec ars.

Sounds like a good build.

No but it’s a more effective round in general, especially against armor. .300bo blows against armor.

Plus you can get an overgassed Yugo AK and feed it complete garbage and it’ll shoot instead of feeding it michelin star sturgeon.

I'm looking at the cans from Aero. Honestly the best deal in the industry is SiCo's spend $1100 get a free Omega 30 promotion that they ran this summer.

X39 vs 300 blk has gotten to be a weird discussion.

X39 used to have a huge price advantage but that's basically gone. 300 blk has a much wider selection of bullets that it can work with, but you benefit from it the most if you reload and shoot suppressed.

Neither is better than a 5.56 rifle for any practical use 99% of users would have for it.

Bottom line right here.

I like 300 blk but it's mostly a novelty. Fun range gun, decent choice for hunting medium size game at medium distances.

I have the SiCo Omega 300. It's a great suppressor. Works really well with 300 blk. I paid about $1050 including the stamp and sales tax.

However it is not a one piece design. The end cap and the muzzle end thread on and held with rocksett, so in that way it could be considered inferior to a one piece design like any Surefire RC can. The Omega 300 is very quiet for it's size and it is very compact. It's biggest strength. SiCo's warranty is generous. I would recommend this can.

I also have a Silencer Central Banish 30 which is fragile, long and expensive. Would not recommend.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I have a 16" 5.56 Larue setup, and on paper it'll satisfy practically all my needs. However when it comes to very short SBR's, the performance difference between 300 bo and 5.56 is very noticeable. Personally, I'm really hoping the pistol brace fiasco is squashed and I can do a very short suppressed setup for a nice truck gun and home defense. If not I'm going to do a pinned and welded 16"~ setup.

My advice to anyone who wants a suppressor is do your research and get on it. Don't put it off. You'll have to wait many months for it to be approved and you don't want to regret procrastination.

Find a Silencer Shop kiosk and get the ball rolling.
