So Act 1 only includes the three story starts?

pretty much. but i've found throughout my playthroughs that the lifepath makes a difference in dialogues. and your character dialogues is pretty much the heart of the game.

If you are using 3440x1440, turn AA down to 1. You don't need it.

Looks and runs fine on PS5, minus the bugs. Seems like overall graphical quality is improving with recent patches. (Images are better on screen, these are just thumbnails)

Spoiler!

the lighting, reflections, and shadow **** is actually phenomenal. like in the optimal lighting conditions in-game it's incredible. i think the best i've seen. for some reason the sun in the game doesn't have the same affect as non-sun lighting though

my comparison:

i'm like 75 hours in. and have barely ran into bugs. i ran into like two crashes the entire time, that's it. everyone that has issues on PC seems to have a GTX card. I have a vega 64. probably something to do with that.
tbh idk how the **** people are getting so many bugs like that lol. i'm seriously like 95 hours in now have not seen any major bugs like that. there are issues I hate though, like the police, and ****in not being able to craft iconic weapons without the original. but in regards to bugs still haven't ran into bugs that make me rage

the game is probably like 10-15% not ready for release, or could've used more time. but honestly metal gear solid V should've had way more outrage than this game. comparing the two, metal gear solid V was like 50% not completed lol

I've done everything prior to the point of no return and am currently just under 100 hours played.. Here's my feedback.

I've encountered zero game breaking bugs. I have encountered many things that either required me to restart to progress or just for convenience sake. Some of these are bugs, some are just irritations.

Spoilers. Obviously.

Spoiler!
1. NPC mouths not moving during dialog
2. Relic malfunctions persisting indefinitely
3. Parts of my UI persisting when they shouldn't (like grenades/medkit in vehicles)
4. Randomly unable to do anything (like scan, shoot, throw grenades, sneak)
5. Randomly become invisible to npcs (most notably when I had to sneak into Arasaka and during the float mission). Could literally stand in front of the npcs and they wouldn't react, nor could I shoot them or grab them.
6. Driving. Holy crap car would just randomly hit invisible walls sometimes. Driving in the badlands off a road is aids.
7. Damage taken and damage dealt have been fairly inconsistent throughout the game. I went from having pretty good fights to straight up murdering everyone with 0 effort. Same weapons. In the same regard I tank a million hits one minute, next minute I get one-shot.
8. My palm trees at one point looked like a hurricane was in night city. Was purely visual, but hilarious.
9. Even on harder difficulties some content is way too easy.
10. No variety of joytoys or love interests. The story very obviously makes it seem like a character is a love interest or could be, then next conversation they are telling you they are gay or trans. The body language and dialog is not consistent with those preferences.
11. Lighting. During the day game looks okay. At night, game looks awesome. 90% of my good screenshots are at night.
12. Minor thing, when in driving cut scenes, the dash doesn't update. However, I appreciate how the lighting inside the car reacts to the lighting of the environment (light/shade on arms, dash, etx)
13. Collision when jumping over cars or barbed fences. Once you get double/charged jump and know you are clearly over the obstacle you still get caught a lot.
14. Huge confrontations and points in the story are often over after a single gun shot. Very anticlimactic.
15. No non-story brain dances.
16. Often (usually after being in the menu or after dialog/cutscene) way points, map markers, etc wouldn't work.
17. Occasionally would have repeating sounds but nothing going on.
18. No. Fukking. Way. To. Sell. Or. Buy. Multiple. Things. At. Once. What is this fukkin 1980? Just being able to hold shift or alt and sell/buy stack/one would be a game changer.
19. Dialog inconsistencies. If I tell someone something, then they are okay with it, I should not then later be scolded for sticking to that same decision...
20. The interactions with Johnny are awesome and I feel like for those wanting to do a more "agree with Johnny" playthrough that the dialog selections could be better written to help you understand which choices those are. Unlike the other story paths which happen regardless. This one can lead to you missing an ending and not knowing why.
21. Police are retarded and useless
22. Clothing/weapons clipping or doing other random weird chit during cutscenes.
23. Summoning your car doesn't work. A lot
24. Quest markers/POIs being a pita to trigger/find sometimes. One that comes to mind is when your tracking the signal for Bes at the huge sat dish farm. I looked everywhere, scanned everything, walked the entire area the all of a sudden V says something in reaction to something I have walked past 50 times.

With that said, the story is good, the world is beautiful (and I'm only on medium), and the character building is interesting. I love the gun play, I like the characters, and I enjoy just driving around for fun. I ultimately feel like 6 months to a year more and this game would have been GOTY easy. But that's not what happened. I feel my experience was good, but not great. I'm glad I didn't hype myself up for this game. RDR2 is still a better game for me (right now) but CP has the potential to be better. I plan to do another playthrough after some patching and updates and when I have a better GPU.

RDR2 for me was pretty much 100% story, which was good for me because I play games for the story. There really wasn't as much content, however just the character Arthur Morgan = 10/10.

Honestly once the awe factor of the cowboy simulation and the world they created wore off the game felt like a real chore for me. I think it's because the game is actually really linear when it comes to the missions, there is just one correct way to go about them and no room for trying to be creative about it. I think the kind of people who really enjoy cinematic 3'rd person character action games liked it the most.

I loved it because of Arthur Morgan, he carried it HARD lol once it went to John I said **** this ****, but yeah when I think about it, if it was any other character I would have found the game boring, but they nailed the character of Arthur in writing and voice acting. Dutch was solid too.

I loved RDR2, but I also played it like 100 hours in the first 2 weeks and never touched it again.

So I have money coming out the ass and nothing to really do with it. Was going to just start buying every vehicle for the sake of doing so, but I don't want them clogging up my list of vehicles when I want to use one. Is there a way you can edit your immediate vehicle list?

Yeah good luck with that.

Be glad you were even able to finish the game as is and slog through the bugs to the end.

Dont get cocky now.

lol despite the anime tropes, the persona series is actually the most complex in-depth writing out there. in regards to human psychology. would start with persona 4 golden on steam, because going backwards would be harder due to it being an older game

persona 5 was 120 hours of pure story. i had to take a break so many times. took me a month to finish it. the story is LONG. and was well worth full-price. I think with persona 5 royal it becomes like 150 hours.

The story in 4 hit hard in so many feels though, well worth it IMO just for that. One of my all time favorites.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

Did all the Tarots, not one puzzle or challenge or thinking needed to find them. just set waypoint and scan from wherever.

Did all the fights, all just die to moving back and forward while power punching between animation. no legit challenge just find the cheese, and they were all the same type of cheese, back and forward breaking their engagement AI.

Did the races. just rubber banding garbage. no challenge just follow a rail and drift into the corner and beat the AI because they corner way too slow.

its not looking good for the final review. not much fun besides looting.

whatever the final review will be though.. it automatically gets 1 point more because it features double jump.any game with a good double jump automatically gets 1 point higher on the scale. its that iconic of a gaming mechanism lol

The more I play this game, the more disappointed in it I am. I swear the last patch exposed MORE bugs to me rather than making anything better.

Everything just feels half assed and not fleshed out.

done with the game after 60 hours

Feels like the interaction with "Padre" was bugged or some ****

I remember him being one of the first few characters introduced in the beginning of the game. then later on, he never calls prompting a quest, or anything. you have to go to the question mark icons on the map to do side quests for him. felt like there'd be more to him or something more like a cohesive quest line- i dunno.
