I have no idea how it plays out if they are added maybe it pops like Tesla did when it was added to SP.

In case someone needs refresher.

Pension funds track Russell index.

If these guys decide to add say 1-2% weight to GME
https://www.ftserussell.com/products/indices/russell-us

Than pension funds would need to buy GME shares.

So lets says June 25th they decided to put 1% percent weight on AMC.

Some big pension fund that has say $1 billion to re balance.

They would need to buy $10 million of AMC shares (ie 165K shares at current price)

that being said please don't assume this is always bull case. I only found tesla atm that popped on sp inclusion. other stocks went in seamlessly without any pop.

don't think it happens.

AMC looks to be pinned between $40 and $60 where majority of call and put buying is.

Its been 8 trading days where they have kept AMC within $40-60. They will do so until they are bored collecting premium.

to me this week will all be about Jpow and what he says tmmrw.

Friday shiitload of gamma expires due to quad witching day.

so who knows what happens next week.

Have question about Suncor.

Since no way in hell am I chasing XOM / CVX now.

Heard this morning that analyst are predicting now $80 barrel for this summer (sure looks to be happening)

JP even said $100 barrel by year end which would be nuts.

Suncor during peak oil price (2014) boom was $40ish.

What kind of prediction do you have? Since at current price there is still value to enter SU.

Google has suncor pe at 1600.

which is clearly wrong after checking other sites.

nah sorry I am just viewing it from options positioning, same thing happened with GME after January people kept buying up calls thinking next squeeze is coming.

we all know what happened its been pinned for months.

when IV is jacked to the moon.

professionals come in and farm the shiit out of noobs buying say $145 AMC strikes etc

retail traders basically get shredded playing options on amc unless its some pro that know what they are doing. ( I am none of those and not touching gme/amc options with ten foot pole)

I gave you potential catalyst above if AMC and GME get added to russell.

Already knew they're buying and selling back and fourth and riding it up and down. My dreams stand strong lol. Buying stock each day during dips, staying away from options at this point.

I do my best to look for negative news daily on it, but I'm still confident in it and the numbers are there. (not even accounting naked shorts) I am a noob investor though.

$49 is a decent spot imo. There's enough room to exit if needed.

IMO selling premium on amc rn is where the money is at. 30 delta weekly calls were selling around 10% premium yesterday.

Morningstar has Suncor's fair value at $45.4 billion which puts its stock price right around $35, I believe they're carrying significantly more debt than main rival CNRL. Suncor hasn't reinstated their full dividend yet but I think it's safe to fully assume that will come roaring back, and I could see upside return to $40 when that happens.

I would say that the big gains in this space have probably already been made though, they could be good holds if you're into dividends and can wait to see if the stocks do make big moves upwards. Cenovus might have a good deal more room to run after their merger with Husky, and they're currently paying out almost nothing for a dividend, but those results remain to be seen.

Won't lie though, I haven't done thorough valuations on these companies and definitely have zero clue where the stock prices will go. But when the pandemic hit, I knew that the many tens of billions of $$$ in existing mines did not suddenly become worth much less and that oil wasn't going anywhere any time soon. None of that has changed and I think our oil majors will be cash flow machines for a long time to come, and I don't think any of them are currently overvalued in rough terms. CNQ is pushing it but the company is legit so financially disciplined and protective of shareholder value, they deserve to be leading the space right now and I expect big dividends from them in the future.

WDYM? (roughly):

Environmental requirements on projects in this part of the world are so wild. I'm on a job right now where we have a Peregrine falcon who has set up shop at one of our work areas and is basically stopping progress in that zone while a wildlife biologist monitors the eggs for hatching and any signs of issues with momma bird
