Well…so much for that rebuild. Good news is, we have so much money!!!!!! Thank you based lynch.

With JG gone, we are definitely getting a top pass rusher.

Lol. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe Beathard balls out and we can trade him too?

Only upside to Jimmy getting hurt is that it likely means we get a much higher draft pick in a draft where a high pick can get us a legit edge rusher to help this team.

I hope Beathard plays well enough to improve his trade value but don't see us winning much even with a not so tough schedule.

Nick Bosa would be amazing. Come back stronger next year.

I won’t lie it sucks… played great second half but to many injuries and missed opportunities.

Not only that what is up with all those flags? Not sure how if want to go full try hard and say a good amount of those are BS… but they were. Lol

Hopefully we have good news on all injury related. Haven’t been able to see what jimmy looks like but he looks like he is done for a while.

A lot of those flags were BS and ticky tacky. That offensive PI one could have changed the outcome of the game, the Chiefs would have played it a lot different in the end if they were only up 1 TD.

I like that Jimmy G was scrapping trying to get more yards and continue the comeback but damn, that's the dumbest thing you could have ever done. Really really dumb.

I just finished looking back at the second half. That was some pretty good football. If they could have done in the first half as well or at least every game so far. We would look so much different. That call when kittle got that TD really pissed me off.

Sucks to hear about Jimmy G. He's gotta learn to go out of bounds instead of trying to get that extra yard, but I understand why he made that move. You also don't expect him to tear his ACL so there's that.

That being said, are the 49ers mailing in the rest of the season for the higher draft pick or you going to acquire some talent to try and salvage this year?

I think they'll ride it out with CJ Beathard. We'll see how he does. The talent on the team isn't good enough without Jimmy to do anything and honestly they probably werne't ready for playoffs even with Jimmy so I think they'll let the chips fly where they will with CJ being the starter.

Only upside with Jimmy getting hurt would be a likely better draft pick that they can help improve the roster for when he's back. They need edge rusher in the worst way and this upcoming draft class has some great ones at the top.

If they can get Nick Bosa it will make the disaster that we're about to see worth it.

Then again CJ could totally surprise us and play well since he's in his 2nd full season with Kyle.

I think the rest of the games will be really bad. Our receivers have a hard enough time getting open, let alone catching balls right now. I like Cj because he is tough but he cannot make the same throws that Jimmy does. Then again we could be really surprised. Like you said a full year with Kyle now could be different. And again out defense still has no pass rush and now that Sherman is hurt our secondary is even worse (not like it was good).

Lol the entire NFL is looking for legit pass rushers. I'd like to see CJ do well though. I feel awful for Jimmy and the fan base. So much excitement prior to the season. I hope I don't see any Patriot fans saying anything bad about Jimmy or how Belichick is a wizard for trading him because of this injury.

Listening to Kyle he sounds like he has faith in CJ, just as he has faith in the back up running back. Jimmy G had his knee buckle before he gets hit; i watched it over and over so i wouldn't blame it on the defender. We will just have to see what the mri says.

It was brutal. Foster whiffed on a few himself but that can either be rust or trying to tackle differently. Or of course it could be just missed tackles, even the best whiff on tackles but it needs to be cut down. Very frustrating to see guys in position to make plays and just missing.

I am not sure what to say about these. Take away half of those and that gives you a much better chance to win these games. Hard enough when the offense can't catch or move the ball.

The Chicago Bears have 9 missed tackles in 3 games. Reuben Foster has 6 in 1 game, per @PFF. Not super concerned however. He had 10 missed tackles all of last year. As % of total snaps, Sunday was 8%, last year was 1.8% — Amped up and speedy Chiefs offense might explain it.

Again…. That is really bad. I can say Foster was probably rusty and needed a game to back in the swing of things, but those has to go away.

It's so stupid that they test guys coming off injuries. Let the guys do whatever the fuk they want to get back to 100%. Then start testing them to make sure they're not using while healthy.

brb ruining the game making these stupid ass rules to protect the QB then not letting them "assist" the healing process.

Yesterday was brutal for everyone.

I hate the wasted year the most. Gaining a pass rusher would be great…wasting the affordable year of Buckner is not. Honestly, the defense as a whole is a bunch of "potential". Five guys actually worth keeping and the remaining can pls go. The pass rush is god awful. I've move on from Thomas. Best he can be is better than average.

Still crazy to think PFF had our oline at 4 going into the Chiefs game. What happens with Staley from here? I assume he has another year, two years tops.

One thing I am certain is, JG has the work ethic to come back. He is far more disappointed than anyone else I am sure. He needed the year for development. It showed as he constantly overthinks or presses. He has "step out of bounds" or "throw it away". I know he will be back ready to go…but for the love of fukn God, we need actual playmakers. The offensive "playmakers" are well below average everywhere. Breida looks like a decent piece, but we need another back. I would prefer we cut our losses and move on from McKinnon at year's end. Brutal move that the locker room may not like, but whatever. I cannot believe we tie-up that money and hope on him again.

The receivers are the very definition of average at best. Goodwin is dynamic sure…but his hands were struggles last year and a deep bruise put him out two weeks from an ordinary type hit. Number 2? Okay if we have someone in the slot that can work the middle. Taylor can do that if we get a real number 1. Kittle looks promising once he stops with the drops. I think he will progress nicely.

Next year we cannot collect money. We need to spend it. We lack depth…we lack playmakers. I am not saying go buy Bell, although I would love it, try at Tevin Coleman or Mark Ingram for sure. Can't get them? Duke Johnson. This roster is "rebuilding" sure…time to be aggressive. Shahanan can definitely take us to the playoffs.

Peters traded, Cooks traded, Mack traded…I am ready to be aggressive. Next offseason we have to make sht happen. The Sherman signing was handed to us by him and him wanting to get back at Seattle. JG was handed to us by the Pats. Lynch has a lot to prove. In b4 we are crowning drafts similar to how we believed Baalke was crushing it.

My internet was out since Friday but I watched the game as usual. What a ****ing disappointing Sunday. Jimmy ACL is the biggest, the slew of other injuries is terrible, and the fact that this team looks like **** for the whole first half was terrible. The second half was great until the ACL, then the terrible PI call. What a joke that was.

Another frustrating year of being a Niner fan. The Levi's curse strikes again. What sucks is our defense looks not as good as it did last year and isn't progressing. Missed tackles are pitiful, the young guys other than Buck and Warner haven't showed anything great, we just got Foster back and Sherm and others are out. We haven't put together a pass rush, KC first half was so easily moving the ball, Saleh never changes anything from zone coverage, rare to no blitzes, and mental mistakes after mental mistakes.

Offensively I am loving Matt Breida's progression. Once he's back to full health give him the workload they were going to give Mckinnon, he has produced enough to deserve that, and will probably show even more progress as the year goes on. Our WRs and TE are dropping to many easy passes, those hurt more than they seem to and is a big deal. We need more playmakers but I like Kittle and Celek, Goodwin, and Pettis. They should let Richie get some game time now too since this year sort of took a step back now. Overall Jimmy was looking good IMO yesterday and this whole season other than a handful of mistakes/missed throws but to me those are somewhat understandable at this point in his career and time in this offense as well as the people he is throwing too making mistakes or drops here and there. I like CJ because he is a gamer, regardless of his skill level he will compete which is worthy to watch. I think he will do ok in his second year here and keep the games watchable.

What I really don't like, and likely because I am a strength coach/pt who works with athletes is the fact that our two most important pieces on offense have non contact ACL injuries. That absolutely cannot happen. Then Sherman has the calf strain. This is not like contact injuries, which aren't preventable in 99% of cases. As a strength staff, they should be embarrassed that these guys are ACL rehabbing. Non contact ligament tears, muscle strains/pulls are preventable, which is what these guys should be getting paid lots for. Not a good look when guys are going down with injuries like this without getting touched.

Every team has knee injuries. You just never know. Foot plants funny and you make a cut and there it goes.

We definitely need a change in luck when it comes to injuries. The one injury we couldn't afford on offense was to Jimmy.
