In the ending where V commits suicide, you can tell they wanted to let Judy be a romance option. She really cares about V. In the other endings you hear her talk about how depressed she was and putting those two together makes a lot of sense.

Depending on how you play your V, Panam is way too Alpha female, Judy is a lot more feminine.

I'm playing a nomad, straight, male V so my opinions are based on that playthrough.

Arasaka: The sellout/corpo ending. Heavily pisses off Johnny and goes against the anti-corp mentality of nomad V and J. This ending to me was the worst, especially the lab scenes at the end. No real payoff (yet) whether you choose life or engram If you choose life a lot of people are mad at you for vanishing and being excluded. If you choose engram, fade to black... I feel if you're a corpo-origin this one makes the most sense.

Panam: Definitely the happiest ending if you choose to live. Riding off into the sunset with your hbb, alpha female. I enjoyed the extra scenes of becoming an Aldecaldo and part of the family. The payoff if you choose Johnny at the end is nice and interactions with Steve are a nice touch. Wish I woulda had more time in the guitar shop to just rock out lol. This is the obvious choice for Nomads.

Johnny/Rogue: This one is hit or miss for me. I really liked storming Arasaka again as J but felt the emotional payoff of Rogue's death was underwhelming and had little impact on the ending (basically the same as Panam's). Given the hatred they had for Arasaka I was expecting a bigger finale. On the other hand, I liked the idea of V taking over Afterlife and becoming a fixer. That was of course short lived. I'm not sure what the meaning of the space scene was as it fades to black. Also, Panam looking fine in her shower scene. This is the obvious choice for street origin.

I know what the secret ending is so I'll mention it. The Johnny lives ending with Rogue alive seems the best actual ending. No point wasting V's body. Rogue is alive. Panam and crew still leave, V still dies, and everyone else still lives. Makes me feel like this is the ending meant to reward those who did everything and is why I mentioned this in my quick bug/irritations post before. Getting this ending comes down to very specific dialog choices which aren't at all obvious.

Suicide: Holy chit the feels. The shortest ending but man it crushes everybody. You learn V really had some good friends, you learn CDPR cut out potential love interests, and seeing Judy crushed... man that hurts. Panam's rage and Misty's sadness really shows how suicide affects your friends and family. This one resonated with me just cause suicide is something that's been a part of my life. It sucks for everyone. Despite the fact this is probably considered the worst ending, I understood it from V's perspective and the fact J doesn't fight it shows he understands that decision didn't come easy.

With that said, if there is a sequel to this at all, it would be cool to see those origins tied into those endings and used in the sequel, kinda how Dragon Age does. I feel there's a big opportunity for Alt to become a villain after she assimilates all the souls from Mikoshi. Depending on your ending Arasaka is crushed and could set the stage for the felling of other megacorps.

Will you find a way to live longer? Will it take place in Night City? Arizona? Maybe follow Judy somewhere in the Pacific Northwest? There's sooooo much CDPR can do as far as story and I personally can't fking wait. Gonna be amazing.
