I'm assuming you don't know much about how the internet/business works, because you and the mods stating that bandwith is the issue is just retarded.
First of all lets agree than repeating images can get tiresome, but half of the fun is reading the comments on the images. And if you over nazi the moderation here, then those will stop.
Regarding the bandwith issue:
99% of the images AREN'T HOSTED BY BB.COM thus they use no bandwith at all on these images.
And you stating that when people click the thread it uses bandwith, first of all the amount of used it's so small it's not even an issue, second of all this is exactly what BB.com wants.
More people click threads = more people spending time/visiting BB.com
More people = More people exposed to the BB.com shop
More people exposed to BB.com shop = more sales
= PROFIT.
So when please stop saying bandwith are at fault here, because it's just not true.

It's very annoying seeing the pictures quoted over and over. It's not as bad if it's one picture, but when people quote the same picture over and over, and i'm looking for a quick lol,but I get a bunch of yo dog's I can't sleep at night with his head etched in my brain.

The issue is that if the thread hits x number of pages it has to be closed beucase of database considerations.

people see a picture they like and and press quote and sometimes just respond with something stupid like "LOL" so they repeat the picture for no reason and this eats up bandwidth
It can be annoying having to see a page of the same image but is it really that much effort to use the page down button?

It has to be fake though. I mean, wouldnt an aircraft carrier have a pretty decent radar? And the lighthouse operator breaks radio protocol by not identifying himself in the first transmission, he conveniently waits for the most humorous point in the exchange. AMIRITE?

Its a known and documented VBulletin issue. Its not like its necessary for threads to carry on into infinity.
