Checking back in occasionally, it's nice to see there's still a nice population of old school miscers around, most pre-dating me. We have to hold onto this. Message boards are such an awesome communication tool. It's a shame the newer generations won't have access to most things not included in instagram comment sections

A nice cold beer sounds so damn good right now. Have one or five for me, will ya?

I'm just relaxing before I head to work at 5:00am tomorrow. It's going to be a long weekend, and not the good kind either.

Regret not getting the yellow, but my red goes better with most of my shorts.

Damn OG's, marinated chicken breast 3 days ago in a bowl in the fridge, intended to grill next day. Life happened and just grilled it tonight, moist, delicious, flavorful AF. Instead of meal prep I should be doing grill prep. Can hardly eat 1st couple of work days because anxiety.

Never seen a guy in the gym with any appreciable muscle mass wearing one of those. Plenty of dudes with the gallon water bottle, wrist wraps, backwards hats etc that only bench and do arms though.

It's a good thing I kept mine in the plastic bag and never wore it. Would hate to be a non-lifting *******.

Right around when I started lifting I picked up a Weider shaker bottle from like the 70's/80's off of a free table at work. Long gone, wish I knew what I had, I would have put it away, I bet there's very, very few of those in existence anymore.

Always a treat to check in on these threads.

I first started posting on the original bb.com boards back in late 1999. I was a troll and a damn good one posting under the name Tower Of London/Tower. I was I think 15 years of age and weighed 130 pounds at 6ft 1 yet promoted myself as a bodybuilding expert. Back then the bb.com site paid people in supplements to be guest article writers. I think you could choose maybe $100 a month of supps from the store and all I would do is copy and paste articles from elsewhere. I have some screen shots of all this but I really encourage you guys to use the wayback machine choose a date in 2000 or something and navigate your way to the "popular message boards". They were pretty primative but wonderful and you guys can see where it all began.

I've seen all the greats come and go around here. I've seen the place change massively. Early 00's will always be the glory days to me. The Internet still had a kind of novelty to it but was also when the boom really happened so the energy here was fantastic. The biggest thing I can point out as far as change goes from then to now is that back in the day Misc section was used for bodybuilding talk that didn't fit into any of the other sections. Non gym talk was about 10%. I would say that's very much reversed now eh!

Really crazy for me to think in a few months I'll hit my official join date 17th anniversary. Unofficial old board something like 19 year!

Holy ****. You were the 511th person to join this website. Hover the mouse over the username and look at the link in the bottom left of the page. The number after the = is how to find out how many people joined before you. A little neat trick. I thought mine (14,762) was impressive but holy hell at 511.

I joined in November of '02 and it absolutely blows my mind that I've been here for almost 16 years. I kind of wish that I didn't have my join date say Feb 2106.

I've used wayback machine thing a few years ago and I went looking for some of my first posts. Talk about nostalgia and LOL at how unbelievably stupid I was.

It's crazy to think that we've seen how many crazy ways that this forum has changed over the years. From having a "Porn" section, steroids section, Big Red (former mod) having a steroid scandal rock the forum, etc etc. Early 2000s were the best, most hilarious times this forum has and will ever seen/see.

Kudos to you, man.

You're 30288. Hover your mouse over your picture or username and look at the link that comes up in the bottom left of the screen (for Google chrome). The number after the = is what you're looking for. You could also right click the name/picture, copy link address and post it in the url line.
