Is that the one with that blueish dial that you got sometime last year? Kinda hard to tell from pics. I like that one a lot too just cause you don't usually see it.

I let the gold one go for way too cheap but it went to the same guy that bought that white gold day date II I posted pics of on here last year so I pretty much just let him name his price.

I had a panic attack a couple days ago and could not find my sub, went back home for lunch and literally tore my house apart looking for it. Turns out I had left it on my ex's end table the night before. Never again

I just bought my first watch, a black orient bambino, on eBay for around $90 (IDK how you guys feel about buying watches used, but I'm poverty).

I don't know about the black band, and according to the seller it's a little worn from use. Anyone recommend a cheap brown leather band? Thanks edit: it's 21mm but I'm guessing 20 or 22 will work, lol. 21. Why.
edit2: Probably just keep and use the black band for the time being.

Here's the seller's poverty pic…

This actually makes no sense

You DO realize that MB and BMW are in the same tier? (As long as we're excluding Maybachs and McLarens )

It is my perception of both rolex and mercedes.

They are both brands that are associated and marketed at an older public of people who are nearing the end of their career and want to buy sturdy decent things with a luxury appeal. You can know nothing about cars or watches but you will know that a mercedes is a decent car that is fairly expensive and that people buy a rolex when they are 50+ or established a good life.

Run into some financial succes: buy a rolex datejust and a mercedes c-class.

Disclaimer: you can buy a rolex or a mercedes without meeting those conditions

Omega and bmw have a younger and sportier appeal, hence that's why I lump those together.

I work in a professional environment and would like a watch I can wear across the spectrum (suit to casual). I want something that looks nice and holds some prestige, but want to avoid giant, gaudy watches or anything rose gold

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Rolex datejust 116234 with white face, stick markers, fluted wg bezel, and jubilee bracelet. What're your thoughts on this? I'm not a huge fan of subs or daytonas and I think the explorer is a little plain. I'm leaning towards a Rolex for the prestige factor but could use some outside opinions

First thought when you said those was either a Rolex Datejust or an Omega Aqua Terra. Which are two of the more 'usual' options.
However in that budget range you could go with A LOT of brands, from Ball Watch, to Blancpain …

I'm considering selling my DJ 16014, let me know if you're interested. White dial, steel case, fluted wg bezel.

The 116234 is a nice watch - have you looked at the new 2015 release 39mm Oyster perpetual? They're simple but think they have just enough going on, may or may not be to your taste but worth a look

Bought my 114060 brand new through grey dealer for 4,300. If I were to sell I'd probably get in the region of 4,000 - 4,200 for it (Dec 2014 watch).

Rolex sports watches one of the best in the game for value retention - if you buy right of course

Yeah that blue arabic dial is factory on the 116523 - I believe there is a white/black panda and a MOP dial too

So the band on my Citizen broke and I'm not sure if I want to get the same band again or switch things up. I wear the watch all the time so I'm looking for something stylish and durable. Does anybody have any suggestions for some reps? Here is the watch with the original band.
