Time to start my go-to-bed ritual, wagies. While you're hunched over your keyboard making inane spreadsheets about the benefits of installing Windows 7 vs Windows 8 in the nurse's lounge, I will be powering down after a productive day.

A day defined by my own terms, not by another mortal's.
While you eat your turkey sandwich, I will be slipping into bed. When the post-lunch fatigue hits you, I will be asleep.
After you get done with work, you will commute home in traffic, relax, do chores, make dinner, do dishes, and before you know it 9:00 PM will roll around.
The thought of all those perky HBBs slinking around in their heels, doe-eyed and just looking for tonight's adventure, will cross your mind.. But you'll be so tired.
"Tomorrow" you tell yourself. Tomorrow you'll go out and slay.. Tonight, you've just gotta go to bed.. It's been 15 hours since your alarm blasted you awake. And so you get into bed, whip out your Iphone hoping your ex-girlfriend from 9 months ago texted you (she didn't), and dejectedly and without pleasure finish to a video of a girl out of your league.
As you fall asleep, I will be awakening. I will shower. I will put on my Creed Aventus. I will go out and get yucky. And I will go back with a girl of the same caliber as the one you watched on your phone.

I'm thinking of having a nice submarine sandwich tonight. I won't be forced to make it myself, though. All I'll have to do is verbally instruct the professional sandwich artist and they'll handcraft it to my desire. Anyone have any recommendations? (looking of answers from non-wagies, of course, I don't want their uncouth gastronomic input).

I'm saying it's babyish/feminine/dramatic to consider it life ruining to have to work 8 hours a day for 5 days a week. If you disagree that's fine, it's an opinion so that's okay. Been working the 9-5 since I graduated at 21 and am 29 now.
We said it is life ruining to work 40 hours a week to MAKE SOMEONE ELSE MONEY.

Not bad for a "wagie"

Anyway 78k before tax is roughly 55k post tax which is terrible for living in London. A decent apartment is what, £3k a month? Theres half your monthly salary gone already.

BTW OP has the right idea about getting rich through his book...just takes more than that in my experience.

Created and published over 125 books, not all on KDP but most are.... lots of $$$ to be made boyos.
The important part here is the 2 years of 9-5 (I wish, more like 2am-10pm) was done for just me, not a boss, not in an office, mostly by me in a dressing gown at night.
But now I get to go walk the dog at a beach 50 miles away at 3pm on a Friday when everyone else is working.

I support anyone who can make it on their own and find success being self employed. I wish anyone trying to do this success.

OP is right in the general idea of what he is saying, although a lot of it is exaggerated/trolling - and a lot of you guys are taking the bait hard lols.
I'm a wagie and will admit that the lifestyle isn't great. I hate waking up early 4 days a week and going to a job I don't want to do. So no I won't defend the lifestyle. At least I get 3 day weekends though (don't work fridays) unlike most wagies who work 5 days a week, so I'm grateful for that. Hopefully in a few years I'll have something else figured out so I don't have to work as much. For example, my Uncle is a wagie but is able to work from home most of the time and I'm always mirin' his lifestyle. He only has to be at his workplace like twice a week.
We're all gonna make it brahs

You just seem to think anyone who doesn't work 9-5 is on the dole lmao.
I agree with the latter though I have no respect for people who lie around on the dole all day contributing 0 to anyone else.

Unless I'm slaving away for somebody else I can't be happy? Now you have a "feeling" I'm on the dole? Are these the same "feelings" that led you to be a hamster on a wheel?
It's so SAD to watch people DEFEND their masters. Take notes wagecucks, this is what happens when you spend to long on your knees, you start to defend it. "Anyone who complains about kneeling is just feminine, IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL".

Overall, theaverage annual income for self-employed Americans is $26,921, which is considerably lower than the average annual income of $56,053 earned by traditionally employed workers, but your own situation will depend greatly on your particular profession.Jul 18, 2014

This thread = self employed people trying to cope with their chit income and the fact that they are going to have to take a traditional job in the near future. True NEETs and self employed people making over 100k excluded from my statement.
