Let me get this straight. OP is on welfare, writing a novel (an industry where a tiny, tiny fraction of people make it) with nothing going for him. Probably has 0 towards his retirement for when his novel scheme ultimately flops and after his extended absense out of the workforce the only job he's going to be able to get is in a shop on minimum wage.
I'm all for being entrepreneurial, but OP, you are retarded, not entrepreneurial.

I'm saying it's babyish/feminine/dramatic to consider it life ruining to have to work 8 hours a day for 5 days a week. If you disagree that's fine, it's an opinion so that's okay. Been working the 9-5 since I graduated at 21 and am 29 now."8 hours out of 24"
Anyone who's had to do intellectual work, or has worked an actual 9 to 5, knows this is complete bullshiit.
Let's set aside the whole 2 hours devoted to getting dressed, showered, shaved, and commuting. And how the car insurance and maintenance means it's closer to 3 or 4 hours you're giving up a day. Or the 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night.
These hours given to Mr.Burns are not equal to what your mind and body is capable of at the end of a workday. Your brain operates at its peak around a couple hours after waking up, then quickly nosedives until it requires sleep from the fatigue.
Since these are the very best 8 hours you've got, you sure as hell better be moving someplace with them. If you're at a cash register with no way out, you might as well jump off a cliff before Google replaces you with a couple wavey flailing mechanical arms.
Or in Amazon's case, a camera that stalks customers.

Guy bragging about living on welfare and writing a novel (that he will probably never even finish anyway). Strong everything.

Not everyone who works for a company is a cubicle monkey bro. I love my job, it's actually full of freedom, stability and there is a lot at my own discretion that I effect. Pension is also 60% of my wage for my best 5 years and I retire at 55.. Wut now OP? Should I quit?

Waking up every day knowing I have some kind of schedule/semi routine to adhere to instead of waking up at 1 to 3 pm waiting for people with lives to get home to do chit with me
Waking up every day knowing I effect the world in some way (my decision making directly effects the quality of life of all the guys under my direction)
Waking up every day with resistance and problems to overcome that are some what challenging and stimulating instead of drifting aimlessly feeling like a loser
Waking up every day with a flush amount of disposable income to throw around which ever way I see fit instead of budgeting the few dollars the gov't gives me for being a flaccid stay at home toll on society
I don't get the point you are trying to make, I am going after what I want and making moves while you're sitting around looking for attention on the misc making roll bread. LMAO

Today was tough being a wagie. Usually sometime during the mid-week I start hitting that afternoon slump at my desk after lunch. Motivation dries up and I just want to start my commute home already. Like I said, some days its tough. If I was single with no ambition to improve my quality of life, I would be a neet.. But I have a family to support. That's what it boils down to. I do it for them most of all on the hardest days.
This morning I rolled up to the gas station to buy a vape cartridge (vape + morning coffee is the goat btw). I walked in and this young lady was working the cash register. She was probably about twenty years old, with bleached hair and sassy looking. I told her what I wanted and she turned around to the tobacco shelf, fumbled around for a few seconds mumbling, and returned to the register. She looked at me with those familiar tired eyes and said, "I-is that all?" I said yea. She scanned it, I paid and took it, then left.
But in that fleeting moment we locked eyes, an understanding passed between us. We were wagies like most people, great and small.

Just to put it in perspective here is the amount of cope shown by 'wagecels' put into a visual representation that those on handouts can understand:
Now this is the cope level shown by the 'NEETs' aka welfare cases:

I'm not crying though. You created a post about how bad being a wage slave is and I told you that you're generalizing and that it actually can be enjoyable. I actually don't dread going to work. When I'm tired I just change my alarm to wake up an hour and a half later or so, what motivates me to get out of bed is actually the satisfaction I get from putting in hard work. Some people seek out resistance to test themselves and stay sharp and face things head on. Others smoke weed and play vids, and hope they can get buy doing the minimum. I just don't enjoy a minimal life style, my dreams are bigger than that.
