His input, decision, and actions impacted kids in school, businesses being open, and unnecessary quality of life degradation for millions of people who didn’t need to experience that when he spoke as an authority without really being one, and suppressed information the public deserved full transparency on - for his sole benefit.

You're really not. I asked you to critically analyze why you hate him, and you won't admit everything you read is framed negatively and designed purely to make you hate him. It's also strange you target Fauci and not the executors like Biden and Trump or your governors. They gave the fuking order. But you're going after the analyst. It's funny it's Fauci's failure but not Trump/Biden/your governors' failure.

1) There were tons of other analysts involved in the decision.
2) The decision was executed by people you elected, not Fauci.

This is a far more technical field than polisci or IR (not to mention most of our elected officials lack qualifications in these areas). And I agree with some of the oversight and conflict of interest issues in general though I want to point out Fauci did not greatly benefit from this compared to tons of other people.

My core point stands. Why single out Fauci or attack him over the executors who are responsible for ordering the policies? There were tons of other people involved in the decision process and Fauci wasn't even the final word.

The only thing I will concede as per gwg's arguments is Fauci may have made a decision to fund GOF in Wuhan. If so, and if it later turns out that work caused the pandemic, that's a bad call, and that's on him. But that remains to be seen. Also, even there, tons of other groups also funded WIV. So he's still being singled out. And ofc, it would be the lab people who fuked up.

...How do we get from that, to Sars-Cov-2 being the result of a lab leak at WIV? You would still need evidence of:


A) Sars-Cov-2 having been manipulated or engineered.

B) Som sort of evidence it was being kept in Wuhan's freezers.


Both are tall orders and all the evidence about WIV I've seen suggests we would definitely have known if the virus was being kept in their freezers.
