Does everything have to be blindingly praising the game or chitting on it?

Why can't I be somewhere in the middle. Giving compliments where they are due and criticizing flaws.

This thread is for people who actually play the game and enjoy it to share their experiences, it isn't some autistic bullchit thread for chitting on it.

Either I've gotten used to it or better at it…cuz it really isn't that bad. Not to mention allll the different cars handle differently. So you can't drive a hand full of cars and blanket claim "the driving is bad in the game". It's extremely vehicle dependent - just like it is in real life…

The driving in Watchdogs always felt like the worst as far as current open world series goes, Cyberpunk is actually pretty good.

To me it’s neither “realistic” nor that bad. It’s still arcadey.

I wouldn’t say it’s better or worse than GTA, but rather a different style of arcade driving that uses arcade physics to try to give cars variety of handling. Which is why some people don't seem to like it, the fake realness is too much for people used to GTA.

I would compare it more to the driving in PUBG actually. Its a cousin of that sim-cade type of "fake realism"

The “drifting” is super exaggerated but that’s fine.

The worst part of the experience is let’s say you have to make a right turn coming up ahead and the map doesn’t tell you fast enough.

The most efficient way to turn is to actually go past the right hander, and turn left and ebrake at the same time to hit a 270 degree drift and circle back around to the turn while still at drifting speed lol.

It’s faster than slowing down anticipating the turn lol

Dude GTAV driving is arcadey as phuck, GTA IV was surprisingly realistic though. Everything about GTAV is more arcadey physics wise when compared to GTA IV, that was probably the peak realistic open world action game.

That said there is a good reason for it, arcadey physics can make games more fun and it really suits the nature of an open world action game better than totally realistic physics would. I love driving sims for capturing the feel of really driving a car but in games like these you really want to stick to a high action experience.

Yeah most people don't like the driving because its not a good match for city exploration.

The way GTA did it made more sense for the scope of the game. Just straightforward and simple, intuitive, not trying to do too much.

Cyberpunk seems to introduce unnecessary understeer and (exaggerated) oversteer which is kinda not only fake realism, but also pointless for the city exploration.

im actually imagining a 100% accurate realistic driving in a video game. yeah **** that lol

gonna try to park in a parking stall in cyberpunk. see how it goes

stuck in ****ing traffic!!!!!!!! just as stressful

gonna try to switch lanes in 1st person mode lol

there we go boys

lol i reversed parked successfully in first person mode into a stall. can confirm kind of feels realistic. just too much power for my car

gotta be honest….. driving a smart car in-game makes me want to buy one in real life.

After my game/save file totally broke near the end on my first go. I restarted.

Running v1.06. For some reason the Ultra Preset, RTX off, and DLSS on performance at 3440 x 1440 is now running wayyy better than my old optimized settings. Feels around 80-100fps..

Not getting any issues now apart from my ridiculous self shadow making me laugh, pedestrians and vehicles morphing in and out of existence, and the occasional NPC not moving their mouth.

Having a much better time, sunk another 40 hours in. Up to the point of no return again, gunna knock out some more side quests. Not a bad game now really… v1.0 was a disaster.

Definitely was in the first one, clunky as all get out. I thought it was much better in WD2, and got slightly worse again in WDL, but still not as bad as the first.

No need to do a save there brah. When you beat the game, that’s automatically where you jump back in. So you can re do the ending all the different ways if you want.
