SPY dividend date was today. I looked historically and it usually dipped around 1% like it did today on these dates. It also kept dipping for another 3-5 days in most cases after until it had a huge run. I think the bottom will be around $410 and ill probably by 2-4 week dates calls on Wednesday/Thursday on SPY or pretty much anything that dumped

Some people do know though.

It's hard to tell who knows and who doesn't so most people just blanket it with "no one knows what the markets will do".

Doubtful. I bought July and September SPY calls after the close. I'll be surprised if any further dip doesn't immediately get bought up next week.

You generally need to be a millionaire to perform this type of investing (~$250-500k minimum investment accepted by top quartile firms, and these types of investments should probably only be ~10% of your overall portfolio) but curious to hear answers

When did I shill oil? Also buying spy leaps during a big dip is free money as long as the economy doesnt crash. If spy goes less than $410, ofc I'm buying spy leaps. Also reason I think it's going to pullback is because this is always what happens with FOMC. They make a little bull trap and then pull the rug.

Dont need to perfectly time it… Spy hits 405, do you think it'll go to back to 420 within a year? If yes buy a leap. Even it dips lower, you still have a lot of time.
