Haven't posted here in a while but my life went from good to 'I dunno wut the fuk to do' in like a week. Got laid off from my Job of 6 years and then found out I didn't get loss of job insurance on my mortgage and line of credit. So I've been struggling to make ends meet while wwaiting for my employment insurance because I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get called back. Ive applied for other welding positions but theirs hardly any that'll pay close to my old wage and the few that are available are an hour drive each way and for about 8 bucks less an hour. Seriously considering employment change. Fuk me

Wassup Canadian brahs! Was gonna post this in the Quebec thread, but that sh*t looked dead.

I'm moving to MTL in a few months for work and want to know what's up with the city and the culture there. So far I've heard pretty much only positive things except for the weather and the smog. I come from Colorado, so I'm not too bothered by cold, but I know I'll miss the crisp mountain air and the good weather we have here.

Just wanted to get miscers thoughts on MTL, things I should do/see while I'm there, things I should avoid, how are the wimminz, etc.

Good luck brah. Adult life ain't no joke when you have bills to pay. How much debt do you have on line of credit? Luckily I'm under 5K in debt but I've been trying to pay my line of credit off forever and it's only getting bigger. Such is life. Should really save for a rainy day, as that makes situations like yours much less stressful.

Have a couple of friends who suffer from severe migraines.

The one is experiencing really good results from the botox treatments she is having to decrease the occurences. She used to get them constantly, now they are fewer and further in between. Only issue now is the withdrawals she is having from coming off the medication she was on previously. Guess it didn't help, but at least it had the benefit of being physically addicting

My girl gets severe migraines at least 4 or 5 times a week. She's been on lots of different meds. Opiates, benzos, antidepressants, ssri, and a bunch of other weird chit. Haven't been able to find anything that constantly works aside from opiates.

Opiates can certainly take the pain away some, but they can cause some serious dependancy. My friend is going through hell as she stopped taking them cold turkey in order to do the botox treatments. Botox has lessened the migraines, but the withdrawals from stopping opiates are brutal. Girl can't catch a break.

Your girl try/look into botox injections?

Ya opiates are horrible for wds but why did her Dr make her go cold turkey? Or did she wanna quit on her own? My girl got botox injections for something unrelated to migraines like 10 years ago. Where do they inject it? And what's it supposed to do? I'll have to check into that. She's had them fr so long that she's just learned to live with them at this point.

Migraines are tough. They can be caused by so many different things. Like a prior concussion, a food allergy, a seasonal allergy, muscular issues, ocular muscle issues… The only thing that got rid of my migraines… Was having a baby. I don't think it's supposed to work that way.

She went cold turkey when she realized how dependant on the opiates she was getting.

They inject at a bunch of the tension spots around the shoulders, neck, face, etc. Keeps the muscles from seizing up and contributing to the headaches.

So I needed a haircut badly and my 2 barbers were away so I told this other person what I wanted. Quite simple gave the entire detail of the cut. Got nothing that I asked for. I'm so fuuking pissed because well it's not what I asked for and imo a lazy hack job that I could have done myself. So later this week I'm going to go to another place that is an actual barber that I just found recently and beg them to see if they can make me look good. Worst part usually after a hair cut I'm feeling good but right now I'm wishing I kept my hair longer as it was better.

did you pay for it?

i went through the same thing, as my barber was sick one day but i really needed a cut
she absolutely fuked my hair up
so i tell her to buzz it off and she tells me that i can pay for a buzz cut because it's cheaper
let her finish, still managed to fuk up a buzz cut, then i look her right in the eye and tell her im not paying
walked out and took clippers to fix up her mess

They're comping me with another service they offer so sorta but not really. The owner saw in my face that I didn't like the cut and well I didn't, so glad I didn't let this person put a straight razor near me because I don't think they knew how to use one.

I've been going to this place for a while now. I only trust 2 guys who are more barbers. They have females but they give more of a salon style cut cause the place is mixed.

The place I'm looking at to get fixed is all male barbers and seems like there are a lot so hopefully someone can do something.

I did my hair again and where I have my side part it's all messy and not cut I'm really pissed about that because it's not a quality cut from a place that is suppose to be quality.

Is it weird I wouldn't know what to do or how to describe how I like my hair? Been going to the same lady since I was 5 and I'm dreading the day she retires…pretty sure I've still got at least 5 years or so before she doesn't especially unless she retires early. Tear.gif
