I don't know who the greatest is out of Federer and Djokovic and I don't care. Federer in his prime played an attacking style of tennis I enjoyed watching.

Nadal winning around 70% of his titles on clay excludes him from that conversation for me. I really don't care how many more French Opens he wins.

Djokovic was underdone. Wasn't allowed to play the AO which gifted Nadal another slam. Wasn't allowed to play Indian Wells and Miami. While he rediscovered his form in Rome there was always going to be a question mark over his fitness.

Nadal went from moping to full of confidence with Alcaraz out. Only his fans buy into the "injured person who plays tennis" shtick. He was always going to be the favorite.

Come on mate, weren't you putting a fork in Novak only a couple of months ago? A few comfortable wins at his favorite best of 3 clay event was never going to make up for what happened to him in Australia.

Physically and mentally he was not ready for best of 5 on clay against Nadal. Djokovic isn't like Nadal who frequently goes into hibernation with career ending injury talk only to be back running like a jack rabbit on Chatrier. He needs big matches to build confidence and he was denied the chance to play for 4 months.

Nadal laid a trap just like 2020. There is nothing wrong with him and his game these days post Moya works regardless of the conditions. Djokovic wasn't ready. Even if he won that 4th set after going up 5-2 Nadal was never going to lose the 5th set. He's fitter than Djokovic which wasn't always the case.

Nadal continues to play tennis because it makes him happy, if you're familiar with Maslow's hierarchy of needs, self-actualization is at the very top. He has had the same attitude when he had 0 slams and now at 21 it hasn't changed him, the complete polar opposite of Djokovic who is obsessed with being the undisputed number 1 in history and thinks having the slam record is his ticket to being loved. That guy has some deep seeded psychological complexes.

Always a conciliatory tone once the win is in the bag. You were mocking him for losing the first set to a guy who's lost 3 matches in his career on that court. If he'd gone up 2 sets to zip your cornhole would have been clenched and you would have been as quiet as a church mouse here.I didn't even watch the match because I was expecting Zverev to either get thrashed or choke. The outcome means about as much to me as the last roll of toilet paper I used.

So how do you explain "an injured person who plays tennis" a match away from 22 slams? Should we believe without all these injuries he would have won another 10 slams? How intellectually compromised would you have to be to keep falling for this crap?

He's close to 100% which is why he's in the final and is about to go 2/2 in slams played this year.

It's the perfect routine. When he loses there's always a reason. When he wins battling through pain he's a warrior. I remember when Wawrinka won in Australia every headline was "Wawrinka beats an INJURED Nadal." He was back on tour a few weeks later winning on clay. Back injury was never mentioned again. Went on to win the French as usual.

Closing the roof and promoting a match in such heavy humidity with obvious poor air circulation seems rather irresponsible from my point of view, and the RG tournament head honchos need to take a look at what happened today and improve something, not sure if air circulation or what, but the conditions were asking for someone to get hurt.

So sad for Zverev, no one likes to see these things happening. I hope he makes a speedy recovery.
