Took profits AMD and SE calls because this is getting a bit retarded. ****'s still going up. Even closed the CRSR and SOFI puts I sold. Still holding on to NIO, UPST, and MO January calls.

And TTD went completely vertical. Not seeing any news at the moment.

Edit: Got ARKK puts as a hedge. I'm bullish for the summer, but no way we don't have at least a minor pullback. Better to be safe.

My WFC 7.16 50C is up 60% – still OTM, but some nice profit. I'm not trying to be greedy here; but, at what point do you all who trade options get out of longer ones? Do you tolerance–i.e., if it reaches x% of profit, sell not matter what, or do you wait it out?

Edit: my Citi 7.16 80C is fluctuating between 10-20% up at the moment as well.

I'd prob take profit above 50% on something like that. Odds aren't good that WFC is going to push ITM for you and its straight up move from the last couple days probably pushed premiums higher than they technically should be right now.

Realistically there will probably be a down day next week where you could probably get back at what you originally paid for the option if you really believed it is going to hit $50+ by mid July.

Those big gains are part of why options are fun. Downside is if you don't catch those gains somewhat quick they disappear quickly too with a slight downward move OR even if it stays flat a certain amount of time.
