Yes its out of date. That's why many of the top traders in the crypto space still use TA.<- This dude is almost always in top leaderboards in terms of return.

Bootmex ->Grew his account on a massive scale coz of TA.

Even i am up hundreds of percents because of TA.

Discretionary TA can work - but backtested TA is better. (That's the quant part you are mentioning? ) TA + statistics can make you money with proper risk management.

But i do agree that many popular TA methods like moving average crossovers are worthless.

In the end of the trading is a very unique and personal skill which takes years to develop - any body with an edge over the market WILL NOT SELL TUTORIALS on how to use that edge. What i am saying here is that many popular traders like - Krown , trader dante etc are all scamming you giving almost no real value in your progression as a trader.

There are plenty of big guys who use TA ALONG with OTHER THINGS HAPPENING in the market. TA is just a tool that's it. Paul tudor jones uses TA.

Is there any downside to have multiple broker apps? I'm intrigued in the Hotbit one but still use Coinbase and Robinhood(gonna move to fidelity tbh)

I had been interested in MINA since seeing it's downtrend and potentially buying in towards the bottom. Problem is Cuckbase sucks ass and as an ETH holder I have no means of converting to it. Maybe it's time to get a 2nd exchange account, but Coinbase ain't cutting it.

muh TA chartist...look at every trading position....not a single one has a requirement for TA. These professionals will laugh at you when you bring up TA.

It's all quant finance based....

You can make predictions all you want, eventually you'll be right if you make enough of them. Just a matter of occurrence.

Chart patterns don't have much edge in these current environment....there has been research done on a sample size of 1000+, no edge was discovered.

Also considering that market makers can paint patterns to deliberately fuk u over.

EDIT: There's a wide range of subjectivity when it comes to TA. One can't really pinpoint exactly to the tee whether something has an edge unless you have a large enough size of data points to objectively confirm it's accurate.
They do. It's just such basic knowledge in finance you would never get hired if you don't know it.

Like saying "why don't the top 1% of toilet scrubbers get hella job offers"... They do it's just part of their job. as regular janitors. You can learn advanced charting in a weekend. But I mean, I agree with your overall point that it's not incredibly useful for predicting.
