Felt like so much to ask for last year. We might finally be good in the trenches and running game again, along with a good young secondary. I think all Gabbert or Kaep will have to do is pull they're own weight for this team to be competitive.

Gotta give Davis props cuz apparently he volunteered to try out at RG. It definitely looks like our OL will be much better than last year which will certainly help. I am curious how the interior will shake out though.

It almost looks like Garnett may not be able to crack the starting lineup which is kind of crazy when you think about it since we traded up to draft him in the 1st round. Bottom first but still…Would be a far cry from last year when a disaster like Devey was starting.

From what I've heard he as always been aloof. Apparently he used to walk around with his Beats on and not really talk to anybody. Srs.

I sure hope our oline is as good as advertised. It won't necessarily show in the preseason games but if they are able to pound that ball play after play the opposing defense will be on it's 2nd and 3rd stringers by the 4th quarter.

When Chip was in philly, did the oline rotate in and out much? If AD goes to guard and Beadles lives up to the hype we'd have some nice depth with Tiller and Garnett.

IMO….. He let his success get to his head and then lost when things didn't go right and then just kept getting worse. He used to have some swag. Clean hair cut, shaved and dressed up ect… Looking at him now he lost that. I think if he start going back to that he might find some more confendence in himself but at this point I have no clue if he even knows where his head is at.

When I think of the swag the he had I think of this:

Chip's offense really relies on guard play so whomever our guards are they need to perform. Lots of people speculate the sharp decline was more due to Evan Mathis not being there than him sending away Maclin and McCoy.

As far as rotating I don't think rotating OL makes sense. That's one unit that really needs to play in sync and having the same 5 starters play together is crucial. The Pats only rotated guys last year because they didn't have 5 obvious starters. I remember some pats fans were trying to make it seem like Belichick was doing something revolutionary but he was literally throwing sh*t and hoping it sticks. If he had 1 guy at each starting spot who stood out above the rest he'd never rotate them.

Also wanted to add that he is a product is having good talent around him. He made up for some of his flaws. As some of the talent went away we saw some of those flaws come out more. He also had a ton of support with Harbaugh and that probably gave him a ton of confidence.

I think we can all agree Harbs last year and last year were pretty much throwaway years. So much ****ing drama and stupid **** going on in and around the organization I can't really judge any of the players for not performing that well IMO.

Hoping this year is a fresh start and that we can get an accurate assessment on the players and team as we move forward.

Moving Paraag out of the big role was a big step in the right direction. I don't think it's a coincidence that after he was "moved" to oversee the soccer team we saw leaked stories die down big time. The guy does a good job managing the cap but he shouldn't have been involved with the football side of things…much like Jed. Hearing Eddie's HOF speech just hit those feels and makes you remember the good days. Shame Jed can't duplicate the same things Eddie was able to do.

Treat it more like family and less like business and the business side will work its way out.

Damn it feels nice to talk Niner football again.

I've seen predictions of them winning 3 games, i'll say it's 6-10. Wouldn't surprise me if it's 7 wins, but 5 wouldn't either. Falcons, Bucs, Dolphins, Rams, Bears, Bills aren't exactly dominant teams. Improved OL, secondary, and running game, I don't see how the expectation is 3 games.

It's a Qb game bro, ours suck or have major question marks. And really until they show otherwise our OL and secondary are also question marks. OL more proven than secondary.

Hard to really gauge this team at this point given who Houston and Denver had out of practices. I really would've liked to see Kap play vs the Denver pass rush tho.

True but i'm just counting on Gabbert to at least improve on last year, as well as the OL and defense. They wont surprise a lot of teams but I think they'll exceed the expectations of many pundits.

Did Gabbert improve on his pocket presence and composure with bodies around his legs?

I remember the concern in Jax was he became gun shy and looked for the pass rush instead of keeping his eyes downfield. The David Carr syndrome. Maybe already damaged goods.

I still think he's damaged goods, but so was Alex Smith when Harbaugh came (not saying they'll repeat 2011). I think the rest of the team will improve and Gabbert will at least be decent. Still not close to playoffs, I just don't think they'll be as bad as a lot of people think.

Vance might not be a piece of sh*t after all. And not just from this game but taking into account the end of last season. He seems to have grown some. With our weak WR corps we're gonna need him to step it up.

Again this is hard overly excited. It is preseason and a lot of star players are not playing and there is not really any game planning. I can't wait to see an actual game where we have dialed up plays and game planning.

A lot of the 2nd and 3rd stringers are playing pretty well. Making cuts is going to be rough.

Not watching the game but following along on game cast…what the fuk is up with all the fumbles today? I started to think it was something up with the game cast. Coaches gotta be fuming.

Mike Davis killed all the good vibes he got last week with that chit.

Watched the first half this morning…once again not sure how much we can take away from this since Denver didn't have all their guys in either but it was still pretty good outing.

Few quick thoughts…

QBs were much better in terms of accuracy
Turnovers - no excuse for that chit. Have to hold onto the ball.
OL - continued to play well though Erik Pears needs to go
Pass rush- much better than expected considering Buckner and Armstead didn't play and neither did Lynch.
Secondary - not as strong as last week and that's disappointing since the Broncos QBs aren't exactly Tom Brady. Reid did make a great play on that pick 6 tho. Reaser has been looking pretty good too. Lots of tough cuts at this position coming up. Acker and Johnson are on the outside looking in right now from that 2014 draft.

I really hope Rodgers plays next week so we can get a legit read on the defense. Hopefully Armstead and Buckner would be out there as well. This preseason has been tough to figure out what we have/don't have with this team.
