But that's me, and to be honest I wouldn't have gotten in such an altercation to begin with. Other people are not as nice as I am, and we can't say how it is that someone feels regarding their own safety.

Now I did see that people are saying there's a full video, someone link me that and if it turns out the young guy was the initial aggressor, then I will change my opinion about how justified he was in swinging at her.

Like he showed clear aggression long before the punch. They should have gotten back in the car and locked it or just left completely. Staying out there to continue arguing after being shoved was a dumb choice.

People keep talking about how a civilized or sane human wouldn't punch an old lady and you are not wrong, but I'd argue that civilized and sane people would never engage in road rage in the first place. Civilized people arent in shouting matches on a highway even if there was a fender bender.
