Uh… no.

End of year selling for tax purposes.

Wealthy people don't need to move money around to vacation… If you need to move money around or consider the "budget" of a vacation, that's a pretty clear sign you're middle class/maybe upper middle class, and probably also vacationing outside of your means.

At worst the only money management that comes into play is making sure CC companies are aware you're traveling and that your max daily/weekly ATM withdrawal limit is sufficient. No one wants to be stuck on the phone with the bank when they want to get $10k out of the atm (srs, this is a surprisingly frequent occurrence with my friends when traveling considering I do not ball when I travel).

Also, wealthy people don't generally discuss it as "vacation" as in "we're spending our holiday vacation in XYZ", it's more of a "spending a couple weeks in Europe and I'll be back in the States August 15th-23rd before heading to ABC for a month, so let's plan on something the weekend of August 20th?"

See below . . .

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ashfo...200000792.html

The Company believes the reverse stock split will benefit all shareholders by addressing several items impacting its common stock and options:

The reverse split will meaningfully increase AHT's market price per share above the $5 per share threshold required by many institutions to hold shares.

Some brokers limit the ability or increase the cost to margin a stock under $5 per share.

Having option strike increments of 50% of the stock price (i.e., $2.50 on a $5 stock) has made option trading on AHT shares less attractive due to limited applicable strike prices.

There are high transaction costs as a percentage of AHT's stock price commissions. Commissions are typically calculated on the number of shares/options rather than dollar value and even the "zero commission" brokerages still charge per-contract fees on options. The reverse split may reduce per-share and per-contract commissions and fees by as much as 90% for the same dollar value transaction.
