Psssh, Olympics is where it's at.

Anyways, the Penguins have 11 Canadians (including both goalies, the captain, and an assistant captain.) and only 9 Americans… I think we can take a little credit for the Stanley Cup

Despite a Canadian team not winning a Stanley Cup most of the teams that have won them were like 90% Canadian.

Gotta love losing your top scorer to a "lower body injury". They say he is out indefinitely, hopefully it isn't his ACL again.

It's being reported that it's the opposite knee from the one he tore up in juniors.

If all you're doing with the snow is shoveling it or trying to get your car out of it, I can understand the frustration. But if you snowboard/ski/toboggan/skidoo on it, have snowball fights with it, or build snowmen, igloos and forts with it, that's another story.

dog brahs, what do you guys do to keep your puppers warm/dry in the winter on your walks? one of my dog has very short coat and the other one has medium length coat (bichon) and they are already sneezing after 10 minute walks. Currently use a thin cotton sweater, maybe I need to get something thicker and water-repellent?

I don't really need to as mine are either bigger (boxer, pitbull) or rugged small dogs (bulldog, Boston terrier).

I know bichons are tiny, what kind of dog is the other one?

LOL! It's been ages since I popped in here. All's fine in these parts - no snow on the ground here - just a bit gloomy and overcast.

I am off work between Christmas and Jan 2, and I am counting the days until then. No alarm clock, just beer. Lots of beer.

**** brahs…I didn't want to say this here. But my other dog just passed away. Got hit by a car earlier this evening. Can't sleep right now. I loved her. She had only been here in Canada for 6 days. 3 years and 8 months old. My dad found her as a 2-month-old stray puppy back in Shanghai, following our bichon back to our apartment so he took her in. Washed her three times as she was filthy at the time. I met her last summer in Shanghai after I graduated. It was some of the best time of my life. I missed her ever since I left Shanghai and wanted her here. My dad relents and decides to bring both dogs over. They're finally here and got to know me again (I think they forgot who I was but that's okay). Her name is Xixi. She's a "Chinese rural dog", a very common breed in China but not a breed recognized by the international agency or whatever. Light brown coat, clever, and charming. I had been down the past couple days as my grad school apps hit a snag but she was here to cheer me up by licking my hand and reaching up on my knees to get closer to me. It's been devastating to say the least but I already feel a bit better knowing that she's in a better place. Our family shared many great moments together with her. Rest in peace Xixi.
