By "smash" you mean "eat", right?

That word means something else round these parts.

Dental surgery has gotten way better in recent years. I had a root canal done so well, that I didn't even need to take aspirin afterwards.

Got all of mine out in one shot at like 25 or 26. They knocked me out for the surgery. When my dad picked me up afterwards, it just felt like I had a heavy buzz from drinking a little too much. No bleeding, no swelling, no pain. Didn't even need the T3s they prescribed lol

Fuk you guys are making me feel like a pussy. Got 2 wisdom teeth taken out when I was 18. I went with laughing gas so I was awake through the whole thing. Was constantly bleeding for the first day or so and also didn't eat.

Depends on why/how they were removed. Some only partially erupt and become impacted. There is significantly more trauma and damage done in removing them, so recovery will take far longer.

holy cow canada is expensive. I assume everyone is making ceo/10k per day salaries here.

What bank are u guys using? Every bank not only wants to charge a montlhy fee ($14.95) but also charge you for debit card usage over 12 transaction.

Unless you have over $3-4k in daily balance every day. They want to make $ from both vendors and customes. My US bank never charges for debit and monthly fee is like $5-$10 unless you have direct deposit.

TTC Metro Pass $140. Toronto apartment rentals $1500-$2500 for something half decent. I thought NYC was expensive. Thank god for the us exchange rate

I know lots of people who's phone bills are 300+ a month and then 200+ a month for satellite and $150 a month for internet.

Everything here is insanely expensive but it is also incredibly easy to make good money.

I'm looking for an IT job and hope that's true. I sure feel for immigrants tho.

yeah every american who comes here always says the same thing: how expensive toronto is. If it's any consolation I guess: UK and Europe are even far more expensive. Something about liberal areas and high cost of living i guess

I've been with CIBC for years. Their "flexible Smart" accounts seem ok, $4.95 to $14.95 based on how many transactions you have in that month. Waived with a minimum $3000 balance and one direct deposit per month. I think smaller banks like Tangerine might offer something cheaper, but I haven't really looked into them.

Edit: I hear PC Financial is decent too.

i dunno. Saw a big argument at cashier at Honest Ed's the other day that almost came to blows. Almost got hit twice by Toronto drivers. On good side, chicks are 10x hotter than Cali

btw Americans: do not use atm's. you get a whopping 19% and bank profits like 14%. (they then sell the USD they bought for $1.19 for $1.33 CAD later)

Cash exchagne places give far better % or use credit card. $400 at CIBC Atm got me $320 USD. On bank level, that's $428. So they profited $50 from one transaction. TD Bank is better I found out for rates.

Bring USD and exchange and get far better rate. I just use CC and get $1.27 CAD per $1 which is still better than atm. Those online calculators are for bank to bank, not consumer. (ie: my $146 at canadian mall came out to $115 USD).

cold not a big fan of driving in snow. But parents having medical issues so not a big fan of moving here, at least for a couple years. Gonna take subway everywhere and explore the city which looks cool. Met a girl but she's kinda wacky. Might meet a hottie and bring her down south.

funny drivers are always so courteous when they see my cali plates. I guess they expect me to wipe out and avoid me lol.

what are good clubs/bars in Toronto? Live bands, tribute bands, etc. I like. Not a fan of velvet rope dance clubs.

bovine sex club? rockpile (?). someplace very social and good music.

Rockpile is down the street from my house and kind of a sh*t hole but guess it depends on the night and who's there.

There is Rocking Horse Saloon if you want something more country also Boot n' Bourbon, Dakota Tavern is good but small, Horeshoe Tavern.

If you was an Irish theme where there has been some good music then Grace O'Malley's.

Honestly there are an insane amount of bars in Toronto. Pick a major street, walk a bit and walk into one that looks good. On Queen W alone there are a bunch of solid bars.

Drake hotel is awesome, a bit pricey but they have to have some of the best bartenders there. If you're looking for really good drinks then Cocktail Bar.

But it is still country music. It is for people whose parents shared the same family name before marriage.
