Agreed. These type of games sometimes make or break young QBs. Hopefully Jimmy will grow from this one and really takes this team to new heights.

Definitely a game you can see who's just checking box scores and who watched the game when they analyze the QB.

Really wish Deebo came down with that bomb too…would've been awesome. Crazy that he attacked the ball like a boss but couldn't hold on.

This team has done a great job but still has so much it can improve on. Hope the bye week is a great one for us with guys getting healthy, working on limiting mistakes and building chemistry and hopefully watching some divisional opponents take Ls.

Well damn, spoon is gone for “at least a month”.

What do the jags want? I know we cannot really afford Ramsey considering we have to pay Buckner and Kittle coming up.

I’m not sure the word on Ward…but we will get murdered having Verrett learn how to play football again. Hopefully Lynch will see what’s available around the league.

**** having Spoon out a month will hurt. Browns WR and Rams WR are dangerous. Hope he comes back and plays like he has been and pass rush makes up for his loss.

Voice is gone from yesterday. It’s annoying how many fans will sit down and stay quiet on third downs. There were a lot of Steelers fans there too though.

Game was so frustrating, and then that Mostert fumble was brutal. Really felt like we were gonna lose after that. We got really lucky to come out of that game with a W. Much needed bye week for the team health and correcting these mistakes.

Being at the game really lets you appreciate Shanahan’s offense. Seeing all the guys he puts in motion and how he sets up blocking is a treat. The defense can get really lost at times.
Horny.

So many pussy fans who don't yell piss me off. If I ever go to a game for my teams my voice is gone by halftime and I'm up the whole time. Levi's is really lacking and a huge bummer of a stadium in my opinion. Bring back a stadium in SF, they should have never left the stick.

Sucks that Spoon is out a month with some solid WR groups coming up. Luckily we have a bye to get the pass rushers healthy and some time to evaluate and coach up guys at CB, and to let Skule keep working. He played well yesterday. Verret did not but we have others who can fill in and Verret has time to get better. Still sucks without Spoon he was ballin. We need to stay healthy to have a shot this year.

Luckily Coleman and Hurd will be back for the offensive reinforcement and Pettis and Deebo are starting to show good things. Agree that I loved how Deebo went up for that deep ball even though he didn't complete it. And Pettis had the TD and a nice first down catch on third down I think too. His confidence growing should bode well for him.

Don't like not seeing the team play for awhile and waiting til MNF two weeks but the rest should help Ford and Bosa which is huge. And should give Shanny and Saleh nice time to prep and plan for the upcoming games. Hopefully Rams and Seattle lose this week. And then they play TNF so one will lose then too.

Don't want to look past Cleveland cuz they're still super talented and dangerous but talk about the odds being stacked against us for the Rams game in week 5/6?

Not only are we on the road but we're coming off a Monday night game(short week going on the road) and the Rams get their mini bye week after playing Seattle Thursday prior. Talk about a disadvantage.

Hopefully we're going into the game 4-0 after taking out the Browns at home but if we can somehow beat the Rams with all that against us…that will definitely be our coming out party.

Is anyone a little pissed that’s ford may require surgery in the off season and has a bum knee?

May it be a big deal but we spent a lot of money on a guy who isn’t completely healthy.

Definitely not ideal. Hopefully he’s able to play through the pain and help us win and be good for next season and beyond. I don’t mind us paying him but giving up a 2nd round pick is a big deal. Need him producing. So far he’s had even in limited snaps.

PFF rates Bosa as their most effective pass rusher in the entire NFL through 3 weeks. He’s not even 100%. We got ourselves a stud, boys.

Love seeing all the people bashing him during the draft process jump through hoops trying to refute the results we've seen so far. Bosa was an obvious stud as long as he's on the field. Injuries can happen to anyone - don't have to look further than the guy taken after him. I loved and still love Quinnen Williams and I think he's going to have a great career in the NFL and the kid is friggin hilarious but he was a guy everyone claimed had no red flags, no injury concerns, etc…

Meanwhile the concerns above were thrown around Bosa. Well irony is QW was the one who actually "held out" and missed training camp. QW has been injured just as much as Bosa in the NFL and has actually missed games.

Injuries suck but they can happen to anyone. Guys who have "injury history" or guys who never had any injuries heading into the NFL.

Funny thing about Nick is there is still so much room to grow. He's missed at least 4 sacks at this point since QBs were able to sneak away from him but sacks aren't everything. The pressures are what lead to turnovers and poor decisions by the QB. The sacks will come and once the ankle is fully healed I'm very excited at what happens next with this DL.

I still want to see Bosa, Buckner, Thomas, Ford out there on 3rd and long.

Seems pretty clear that’s about his ankle. His lateral agility isn’t there yet. Hopefully MNF it’ll be back.

The draft process these days is so drawn out that people nitpick so hard they’ll find so many flaws in every player. And then they’ll start convincing themselves that all those tiny little flaws can’t be corrected and that they’ll be the downfall of the player. Luck is the best college prospect I’ve ever watched and I feel like if he came out last year there would’ve been respected people out there projecting him as Matt Flynn.

As far as Solly, I think it’s time to give it up. Armstead is a far superior player.

Armstead is playing very well but I'm talking specifically on obvious pass rush downs. Thomas' speed inside on rush downs is still something I want to see. Plus if we're going to rotate guys to keep them fresh…then play Thomas inside.

I just don’t see him doing that rarely ever. Ideally he’d be a good interior rusher on strictly passing downs with his athleticism but we just haven’t seen it. Maybe he gets better as the season goes along but if a team will give us a 5th rounder for him I’d take it.

I'm too lazy to do so but I feel like we can probably count on one hand how many times Solly got inside pass rush snaps this season so it's definitely rare to see that

The other thing I think about is where was Armstead in year 3 of his career? And he didn't have to deal with the sh*t Thomas had to deal with in his career.

And as far as trading him I don't think it makes sense right now. As good as our DL has been and as good as Armstead has played we have 3 guys on the DL headed into free agency next year - Armstead, Day and Blair.

We still have decent depth there but real quick we could be in trouble again. Thomas is still under a rookie contract for at least another year and there's a chance(tho very slim) that we pick up his 5th year option. Have to think of the future as well. I think keeping Thomas for at least another season makes more sense than getting a low pick for him.

Of course things can change after the season if we re-sign any of those guys. I also wouldn't mind if Thomas re-signed with us for a team friendly deal…kind of a "you didn't get what you expected out of me so I want to prove my worth" but I can also easily see him want a change of scenery.

Either way I'd like to see more from him this season INSIDE so we can see if he's worth holding on to or not.

We don’t have dumb coaches. So if they’ve watched him in practice for 3 years now and broken down all his tape, I don’t think it’s just willful ignorance in not sending him to the QB from the interior as much as we think they should.

I wonder with Hurd coming back and TT coming back midseason if we could trade one of our WR’s to Green Bay. Adams got hurt and after that they looked hopeless. Maybe we could get some nice compensation for Goodwin.

Would be nice…still hoping we move Beathard.

Hoping Hurd is actually healthy and doesn’t have residual issues from the back. His size at slot is impressive. Hopefully offense comes out strong post bye week. Not sure our D can keep playing that well against these better talent teams coming up.

Top in the division after the bye week. That’s about as much as you can ask for when you’re on a bye. Seattle losing to Arizona would’ve been nice but it is what it is.

Browns winning is a good thing imo. Reminds our guys how dangerous they are. Hopefully we come out hungry to show everyone our wins weren’t a fluke and keep the undefeated streak going cuz the Rams game while not super unattainable after what Tampa did to them but tough more due to the scheduling - short week for us going on the road and mini bye for them since they play Thursday.

Have to beat the Browns. Sucks that Spoon is hurt cuz OBJ/Landry(assuming he’s fine) are a tough duo to stop and Chubb is a beast. Hopefully Bosa and Ford are healthy and our DL plays their best games moving forward.

Wait til next Monday is gonna suck…

Top of the division, NFC, and last undefeated team with Pats and Chiefs, amazing even if its only week 3. Rams losing is sick (except they ****ed up my parlay) and they have to play Seattle thursday so one of them will have another L.

Browns winning is big, but not having Spoon will suck. Good news is Ward will be healthy, and the team has time to assess the CB position well enough to decide who should go. The big thing, which I think will affect the game more is that the pass rush will be rested and healthy. They will cause havoc on MNF I guarantee it.

Agree on Browns win will help us focus up for the game. I can't wait to see them play in primetime!

Back to back Sundays without 9ers football is weird. I actually had energy in the evening yesterday. Normally I’m ready for bed at 5pm because I’ve exhausted so much energy into the 9ers game. This is gonna be a long week tho until MNF. I cannot wait to see what Shanahan draws up. We have a coaching mismatch here. If Shanny and Jimmy can take care of business offensively I absolutely think our defensive line can push around that soft Browns o line enough to win the game. Put the game in Baker’s hands and we’ll be good.

I really can't get over the stupidity in the schedule making process where you make one team come off a bye week into a Monday Night game…and then have them go on the road against a team coming off a Thursday night game.

What a sh*tty setup.

I'm sure the team doesn't actually mind waiting until MNF to play again but as a fan the wait is brutal…and I REALLY hate the Rams game setup. Just a total setup for us to lose that one.

Hopefully our guys are up to the challenge and give a big middle finger to the schedule makers as we go 5-0 to start the season but Browns aren't easy. Have to bring our A game. We play as sloppy as we played against Pittsburgh and we're losing at home.

**** bros….the wait til Monday night is killing me.

Really hope we come out looking even better after the bye week. Ironic thing is we've been kind of flat post bye weeks in recent history, like even with Harbaugh's teams the last time we had a win post bye week was in 2011.

Of course we've also sucked on the road on the East Coast and we took care of that trend earlier this year so hopefully we keep breaking the bad trends and setting new god ones.

Definitely a huge game for us not only in gaining some respect but just showing we can play in big games with a lot of attention on them.

Browns are dangerous and we're probably looking on the wrong side of some key matchups due to injuries.

Myles Garrett vs Justin Skule - clear mismatch for us. Probably a mismatch in the Browns favor when it's Garrett vs Staley. To say Skule will have his hands full is an understatement. Garrett can win with speed or with power…dude is a beast. Hopefully Skule meets the challenge but it will likely be with help from the scheming.

OBJ vs Emmanuel Moseley - it's possible we have Sherman shadow him and there's no guarantee OBJ lines up across from Moseley necessarily but I have a feeling at least to start the game we'll keep Sherman where he's at his best and it would be idiotic for the Browns not to put OBJ on the backup corner.

Keys to success in order of importance IMO.

1. Turnovers - we can't afford to give the ball away to such a talented team and we definitely need to create some on D to give our offense the ball more
2. DL play - I still don't trust our secondary especially without Spoon who IMO has been our best player back there this year. DL has to play their best game to date and shut down the Browns running game and rush Mayfield to force him into mistakes and not allow OBJ to get deep.
3. Run game - best way to help Skule and Jimmy is to run the ball well. Browns D hasn't been as good against the run so hopefully our guys show up and we keep Garrett thinking run so he can't just pin his ears back and rush like he can. If we can keep the chains moving and put up points via the run game that would open up things via PA and also keep the DL fresh and ready to do their part.

Really need to win this game cuz going to LA on a short week despite their game against Tampa is going to be tough and I'd love to go into that game 4-0.

Yeah sucks we have to wait till Monday night. I agree with you genus on your keys to success with the main one being no turnovers. Hopefully Shanny can scheme around Skule.

I’m honestly really nervous for MNF. Not that I think we’ll underperform (although the Garrett vs Skule part is legit scary), I just have such high expectations for this team, for Shanahan and Jimmy G, that I don’t want to be let down on Monday Night. The whole country will be watching this game. There are plenty of pundits that believe in us but there are a lot more people that don’t, and think we’re a fraud 3-0 team. If we can play a clean game and win by double digits I’ll be so happy.

If we can just go 1-1 in the next two weeks I’ll be happy. After that we have Redskins, Panthers and Cardinals. We could actually be 7-1. That’s crazy. It’s possible we could have a clunker in one of those three games, but even 6-2 would be great. Schedule gets tougher after that.
Horny.
