Unless you have over $3-4k in daily balance every day. They want to make $ from both vendors and customes. My US bank never charges for debit and monthly fee is like $5-$10 unless you have direct deposit.

TTC Metro Pass $140. Toronto apartment rentals $1500-$2500 for something half decent. I thought NYC was expensive. Thank god for the us exchange rate
Look into smaller banks and credit unions. One of the reasoning behind the outrageous banking fees is the the fact that some of the big banks have a sh!t load of locations and some are open late and on weekends. But how often do you actually have to go to the bank in person?

Like the previous miscers said, look into PC financial or Alterna Savings.

Yeah at times the subway is even slower than driving because of outages, transformer fires, or any other fire, floods, medical emergency/issue, police response to an issue or someone who decides to jump on the tracks. You're bound to have one of those happen daily with usually several medical emergencies as well.

probably. but driving those tiny 1-2 lane toronto streets is slow as fuark esp weekdays. I do hate buses tho. Not a fan of standing and being bumped around by rude idiots on a bus cuz no one wants to move back. Why I bought a car

I have to drive on those little streets trying to park for work. Sucks at times but still better than transit.

I've been stupid lucky on my visits up there, the subway always ran really smooth. Was actually kind of amazed how much nicer it was than Philly & DC.

Really? We moved there 3 years ago and love it. Into the mountains all the time. The weather is a bit f*cky for sure, but overall not too bad. We came from just outside of Toronto and hated it

lol. well rather have rain than snow. At least rain won't prevent you from getting to work, shovelling for 1 hour and sliding into cars at an intersection. That montreal snow crash viral video is hillarious!
