Pretty sure I just saw a UPS driver take a leak out of the back of his truck. He pulled up in front of a driveway, opened the back door about a third of the way up and heard and saw a pretty distinct stream pour on to the pavement.

Big boned man... big boned.

It’s because you guys eat fried chicken and waffles together.

Did you all know that Canadians get our milk in bags? And that what you think “Canadian bacon” is, is just ham to us? And Canadian bacon is actually peameal bacon?

We had some cousins over for a sleepover this weekend with 4 boys. Saturday night was rounds of feed-buckets of chips, nuts, jerky and popcorn. Sunday morning I was shoveling pancakes, bacon, eggs, and potatoes into them for an hour straight.

My youngest is the newest cousin in the Roblox clan. Still a noob and a little overcoached, but we expects big things from her.

It’s nuts how early they have workout programs
My 12 year old is about to start a strength and conditioning camp for the summer
Basically runs the entire summer break
1.5 hours per day, 4 days per week

I didn’t have that available to me until my junior summer
I just have to make sure his little ass eats enough protein

I think I started at the end of 8th grade, took a bus from JR high to the high school after school ended on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Switched to MWF in high school. Dude who ran the weight room was a semi-pro in the 70s-80s and stayed a powerlifter years later and was a butcher by trade. That said, all he had us do was 3x10 for just about everything and no deadlifts.

I lied about my kids. My almost 12 year old is 73lbs, 4.9ft, the 10 year old is 77 lbs, 4.7ft.

I guess eating freedom is where it’s at.
My kids don’t do sports though. They build cars.

Geez, you guys are pretty lucky to have had it at all. We didn't get any real strength/conditioning work other than our PE class, which for Football was the weight room. They had us following the old Bigger, Faster, Stronger program that I'm pretty sure every school purchased at the time.
Our travel baseball was playing American Legion ball. Didn't travel more than 90 minutes from home.

My oldest (17), plays non-stop volleyball all summer long along with the weight room. T/W/TH she starts with beach volleyball, then to the weight room at school, then to school indoor volleyball practice. Weekends will likely be at either a beach vball tourney or an indoor vball tourney.

My youngest has just recently expressed an interest in playing golf. I'm excited about it. Think we'll start with the First Tee program this summer and see how she likes it.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

I mentioned it in the hockey thread, but the Pens are going just as expected. I've noticed they've had a trend in their seasons with early exits in the playoffs. They'll go on a tear in the regular season, all the pundits call them the team to beat, etc then multiple stars get injured. Young guys step up and they resume winning. Then one or both of the following happen: GM trades for an aging star and ruins mojo and/or stars come back and ruin mojo just in time for the playoffs. This season, Jeff Carter has done great, but halting momentum this year seems to come from Malkin coming back from injury.

Didn’t even know we had a hockey thread.

I avoid all online hockey discussion as a rule, too many morons and casuals. The hockey subreddit makes me want to stick a screwdriver in my eye some times.

We didn’t even have strength training equipment in high school. You were good at sports, cardio or naturally strong, or you weren’t. They have all that stuff there now though. Fukkers.

One of the very few good things about a stay home order is mid day sexxors. Especially since my 10 year old hates his room so he sleeps in ours now... sigh...

My 3 year old is 40lbs. The kid is built exactly like me and even walks like me lol. He'll probably be taller than me though since I'm the shortest one out of my family.

I hated lifting so much when I was in high school I'd do anything to avoid it. I was wrong but in my mind I thought the weight room was for guys who sucked so if you were already good there was no need for it

Happy Friday folks.

My family is pretty split in tall/short. Mom's side = short. Dad's side = 6 footers.

I'm 6'2" (or at least the last time I measured). Dad was 6', Mom is 5'2".
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
