Not in Biden's America. He won't even forgive my student debt after he promised. How could he do this to his loyal supporters, both living and deceased?

Man I'm doing like 5,500km per month right now for work and would love something like this but it legit seems so far away. Currently driving a 2021 F-150 rental with lane keeping (will steer itself to stay in a lane when on cruise control) and even that's not 100% on a good highway like TransCanada.

Pretty sure it would be bullish for oil & gas too because I think true autonomy would make long drives much easier and create a lot more demand until electric vehicles constitute a bigger portion of cars on the road, which is many years away, but that's not happening.

Brahs! Got a call on Friday from a large renewable energy developer I interviewed with for a quantitative analyst position and they said I would likely be getting an offer next week… they wanted to confirm my starting salary

I’d be reviewing energy market forecasts put together by consultants and building financial models to determine if the generation projects (wind/solar/batteries) would be profitable to build or not and making recommendations for management. Feels good man hehe

Do you have any experience in energy or as an accountant or something…?!

Waiting on calls back myself seems to be GETTING a lot of interest but not to much yet only been a few days though but per the website I am in the top 17% and top 7% in terms of interest for being hired no idea how accurate that is but FEELS good, Hehe. Haven't even got my certification yet but still listed it SALARIES are a lot better for lower less skilled positions as well compared to what I thought virtually no pay cut or even a pay raise LOL gonna be interesting when I retake my exam and become certified in a few months with a bit of experience SRS. Even qualified for some of the higher skilled jobs as well which was surprising considering no certification yet READ the responsibilities and even a BABY could do it so I figured no reason why I could with EVERYTHING I learned. Feels good.

What are they offering…?!

Yes, I’ve been working as a consultant in the utilities/renewables space for 5 years (so I’ll be reviewing other consultants work instead in this new job). This job would be $115k base which would be an increase in my base salary but an overall cut in pay (my all-in right now is around $135k) but my current job is miserable, so I’ve been wanting to get out for a while. I think the cut in pay will be worth it for a better work life balance, less stress, plus the ability to work remotely (which my current job no longer has). I’m 100% vested at my current job as of a couple months ago, so it’s a good time to leave I think

GM Super cruise and Hyundai already do great job at highways.

Many magazines/journalist already have them ahead than Tesla in that phase on highway portion.

Imo to me all I need on long drives on highway is cruise control and light auto steer if I get out of lane on long drives from boredom.

No matter how good the tech gets in future I will never ever use it in city (any type of full driving assist) and this is not just Tesla knock.

Zero interest. No matter who makes it.

Level 5 is so far away its not even funny.

Since this is investing thread that FSD success does matter on Tesla stock so obviously this is not good that they keep saying soon and soon but they can't deliver shiit on that front.

Like Cathie saying that tesla robo taxis by 2023.

Gotcha, My dad's dad was a consultant for a lot of big retail developments SEEMS very unstable though I dunno. Sounds like you're going from the one making the reports to the one reviewing them perhaps so I guess that is a step up CAN'T understand why you'd be getting a paycut.

my base salary right now is $90k and I get like $35-40k in year end bonus (split between cash/stock) plus tuition assistance for my MBA which is nice. It would be hard for me to beat that I think in my current industry (electric utilities, which don't generally have crazy pay) with my 5 years of experience… but I also hate my current job lol. But yeah, I would go from making the reports (energy market assessments) to reviewing them and actually helping a company make the investment decisions rather than just advising on them as a third party. I've really struggled with the idea of taking the compensation cut, but I think I'll be happier in the end (current work environment is toxic af)

Interesting, My dad get's bonuses too but they seem inconsistent and unreliable for instance he was telling me he didn't get one mid-year I guess because covid or something but then they gave a bigger christmas one or something I dunno. Stock options sound nice but if it's a retarded company like it sounds like it is I would just market sell instantly FOOK them SRS. Yeah, You should be in a senior level or at least management style position with 5 years of experience especially if you have bachelors and MBA srs.

Hoping to get some tuition reimbursement when the time comes for me to be in a similar situation as you thankfully I can rely on certs for the next 3-4 jobs and will probably max out at 180k before I will really need a degree because next step would be project manager / director and I know they would probably want me to have AT LEAST a bachelors for that and WILLING to get it if they PAY, Hehe. Really would like them to send me over seas as well so IDEALLY fortune 500 would be best for me which I have plenty off just gotta get my foot in the door an some experience and life should be on EASY mode not counting my extra CURRICULARS.

What’s your reasoning for thinking the market is guaranteed to crash within the next year?

Anybody know what these reverse repo's that the fed is doing?

Keep reading that they're upping them by huge amounts. Is that a way to take money out of the market to try and quell inflation?

Worked in auto industry, in 2017 they said they were 15 years minimum from getting to 5. There’s too much variability in autonomous software, cpus can’t make quick decisions like a human can. It will come only when a majority of vehicles are autonomous and can communicate with one another

To my understanding, reverse repo is where the fed either buys securities to stabilize the market but than ultimately sells them after a day or so.

Do you oil and gas guys have any insight on oil being a renewable resource? I have never heard about this theory until a few days ago. These are the two best write ups I could find, not much info.

Anyone got insight on Chinese companies? Trying to decide if I cut my 20% loss on a couple of BABA shares I've got or if I should bother staying the course with all the regulation shyt their government is forcing down on their private sector. I was pretty Hyped with the amount of ANT that BABA was holding, but now it is just a giant cluster

Looks like CHYNA is unloading their used GPUs from crypto mining onto the used market, driving down prices.

It took about 9 months for NVDA shares to crash (2018) after the last crypto-related GPU unloading. Cash is ready….
