Just watched the game. Biggest issue was obviously the fumbles. We can't have that **** going on from all the RBs. Two weeks in a row now. Need to fix that **** asap.

Other than that seemed like a fairly regular preseason game, but still pretty positive in many aspects. OL still looked pretty good, pass rush was decent, secondary alright, offense alright minus fumbles. Not much to complain about, cuts gonna be interesting.

Wonder if we got any guys on the trade block? Would think Anthony Davis and Bethea would both be good candidates.

I could see Bethea but I am not sure if AD would be wise. He came back and actually looks like he could come back into his old self. From what I read he is doing what ever he is told and working hard. Right now the oline looks like it could be good again and having him back helps out a lot. Still we will see what happens with him and see if he quits… That one is a tough one to see go. I would like to see us attempt to add another vet to the WR core because it looks really weak.

As much as I wouldn't like to see it Bruce Miller could be on the trade block, still not sure how much he fits into Chips offense. No way in hell I would trade AD. He's already on of our better OL and what happens in Brown gets hurt? Pears again, god no fuk that.

Maybe Wilhoite could get traded or something like that. I don't see us trading anyone really I just think they'll cut some people, try to stash some on the PS and as usual have a few hangnail NFI, PUP, IR guys.

Props to Davis for coming back in shape and apparently doing what he needs to do to make coaches/teammates happy but if we could get a 1st round/2nd round pick for him I'd move him. If Trent Brown is keeping that RT job on lockdown then what's the point in keeping Davis? Great depth for sure but that pick may be used for a starter caliber player.

Obviously it depends what is being offered but I'd certainly field offers.

I can see Baalke moving some of the DBs for 7th round picks or something like that. Similar to what he did last year with the TEs.

We would be stupid not too. I am curious to see how he would play at gaurd?

When do we expect the first round of cuts? I never remember and I am sure I ask every year….

It's usually couple of days after the 3rd preseason game. Looks like 8/30 this year then 9/3 for final cuts.

edit: thing about Davis playing guard is we have Garnett in the wings…now if Davis could play center that would be something else since Martin is our best backup and he's shown nothing of value so far

That is true. I forgot about Garnett and have not really noticed him. I blame my kids for that one….

That sounds about right for the cuts. Now that I think about more it is always about that time (3rd) game.

That's my point with AD, he is performing well and may not even start. Could become a cancer in the locker room too if he doesn't start. Doubt anyone would give up a first for him and I think a third would be more realistic.

Agree with Bruce Miller. Just doesn't fit which is a shame bc he's one of my favorite.

I think our team is better than most people think.

QB and WR is probably the biggest weakness…unfortunately in a pass happy era of the NFL those two are biggies

Defense also needs to prove itself but talent is there.

Also kind of funny since we mentioned it earlier but sounds like Beadles and Davis got some practice time at center today.

lol…. Other than Kilgore and Martin who is able to play Center or maybe even played center in their younger years? If above is true then I think Martin will be on his way out. That is pretty funny. I would rather keep players who can offer a lot more utility than just their one position. We have some young decent talent back their right now. Maybe they are trying to figure out how to keep an extra or more?

A team is much better when their guys are versatile. I think it was Maiocco that said that in theory Anthony Davis and Joshua Garnett may not even be active on game day if they don't win starting jobs. Teams tend to only activate 7 OLmen on gameday the 5 starters and then someone who can play the interior positions and a swing tackle. He mentioned Pears being the swing tackle and Martin being the interior guy…obviously I think Davis could be the swing tackle I know he hasn't played LT in the NFL but he certainly has experience before and I'd feel better with him going there than Pears

Good point… I didn't even think about that. This will be very interesting over the next few weeks to see how makes the team or now.

His point was obvious? What the fukk are you talking about dude … I was asking a serious question (because I've never heard anybody ever say 'Ponder looked amazing') , and he responded with the most butthurt post I've ever seen.

I was NOT trolling you dumbass potato, I was genuinely interested as to how Ponder looked (regardless of whether it was against the 1st team, 3rd team, etc..). When did he come in the game and how long did he play for?

He said Ponder looked amazing against 3rd and 4th stringers….instead of quoting his whole sentence you cut out the last part and said are you serious. If you were genuinely curious then why cut out part of what you were actually quoting?

Then instead of saying you were legit curious you when he responded you went to "lmao you mad bro"…

Of course you could've looked at the boxscore and see that 4 days after being signed he was 7/8 for 86 yards and a TD to go with 21 yards on the ground with a rushing TD and realized that he did actually look good.

I didn't cut out the last part of that post to be a c o ck or anything like that … Just thought we could all have a good lul or two at Ponder's expense seeing that nobody has ever said Ponder has looked amazing at any point of his career…. But apparently y'all are too wound up or something?

I mean, I think we've had this talk like 6 or 7 seven times ITT ….. I've been posting here for years man do you really think I would come in here to troll at this point?

Just saying it came of trollish but whatever moving on. Yes he did look good against backups. Doubt he'll make the team but as far as first games go with a new team and short time on the roster it's about as good as you can hope for.

Yup, just the 2.

I don't see a future for Ponder here, i think he's a lesser version of Gabbert and if the team was going to keep 3 QBs they'd keep Driskell. I think if he plays well enough next two games it will be tough to stash him on the PS. Obviously that would be the ideal spot for him but imagine if the Pats didn't keep Brady as the 4th QB in 2000? He's a 6th round pick but everyone knows his talent and if he continues to look good it will be a serious gamble trying to get him through onto the PS.

What I said was true but also somewhat tongue in cheek. You aren't very bright so I'll assume you truly couldn't comprehend my original post.

Two guys who have been super disappointing are Brandon Thomas and Marcus Martin….Thought Thomas was a steal after his injury cuz he was a first round talent but dude has been pretty much invisible in camp/preseason.

Martin….

edit: fuk can't get the video to post but a linebacker pretty much punches Martin to the ground with one arm on the play. Just bad…

Depends on where you sit exactly. For the most part I like watching games on my tv. But I love the experience going to games. Even though a hotdog is 12 bucks and beers are 9. Sucks… I need 2-3 during a game.
