I’m expecting a loss this weekend and I’m fine with it. As long as we don’t get blown out. Just so many key injuries. I’m expecting a low scoring game. 20-13
Horny.

If we can go 3-1, even 2-2 in the next 4 weeks and get Spoon, Glinch, Staley and Juice back for Seattle game we can make a run but we have to stop taking injuries on the way. It's getting ridiculous.

We're not losing this weekend, you guys and your doom and gloom kill me. Have you not seen us whooping on teams all year. Only game we barely won was cause we turned it over 5 times, we still dominated that game.

Our defense is gonna wreak havoc on Goof and we can stop the run too.

The rams D isn't the same this year, regardless of our injuries we will move the ball and score more points than the Rams can against our D.

I respect your confidence but we just lost two more key players on offense. Two guys who help our running game in a huge game. Two guys who also do great in pass pro and allow us to scheme up a lot of things.

We have no idea what this offense is like without them. And while I’m sure our D can play well the Rams have the best collection of scheme and talent that we’ve faced so far and the game is on short rest on the road.

It’s not a guaranteed loss or anything like that but thinking we’re just gonna roll them I’m not seeing that. They’re still the only team to beat the Saints and by a large margin. Aaron Donald vs our OL is scary. He can take over game on his own.

Now if we can keep the run game going despite the losses and get turnovers on D while avoiding penalties and turnovers on our end…we have a shot but a lot has to go right.

NFL wants the Rams to win this game. I’m expecting some rage inducing penalties on us.

I’m not trying to be pessimistic I just think it’s a bad spot for us. As a gambler I always look for bad spots for teams and I think this is one for us. I didn’t love us in that Steelers game. Loved us against Cincy and Tampa. Wasn’t sure what to think against Cleveland.

But even though I don’t love the spot for us, looking at the rosters I’m not sure where they have us beat if Gurley doesn’t play. They have better receivers and Donald is the best defensive player in the league. After that we might have them beat or tied everywhere. Maybe Goff is better than Jimmy but that’s close.

BTW, Greg Cosell said we have the best front 6 in the league with Bosa, Buckner, Armstead, Ford, Alexander and Warner. He was raving about Alexander. Props to Lynch for that signing when we were all kinda scratching our heads.

I think some other additions that have gone unnoticed is Joe Woods. I think we all agreed our biggest questions were in the secondary but he has those guys playing great. Obviously the pass rush has helped but Spoon was our best corner before he got hurt and E Man stepped up big in his absence and hopefully keeps playing well. Our DBs have been very underrated but played great so far.

Now they have a big test as while the Rams guys may not be as talented as OBJ but they're super consistent in that offense and 3 deep with Kupp, Woods and Cooks.

So far this is exactly like I think it would be. Hoping to see jimmy make some big throws.

That int pissed me off. Little was held the entire time.

Missed opportunities on the INT and missed FG, need to get points there. This looks like one team played last Thursday and one team played Monday but the team that played Monday is the better team.

Wish Goodwin held on to that pass or Jimmy led him to the end zone but whatever. The goal line stand was big after we threw that pick to keep us from scoring.

Gotta get some run game going and play a big second half. On D stop the run and get after Goff, you can tell they don't want tho throw. Let's go Niners!

This is why Jimmy G gets flack. You absolutely cannot miss easy throws like that in those types of situations. We could be up 21-7 right now

Just getting the chance to watch. 49ers are legit. Not easy to go in and play like this against a good Rams team.

NINERS BABY!!!!! Another dominant performance. Missed opportunities and we could've won by even more but that said with all the injuries on offense and still put up 20 and the defense on another level holding them to 7. Let's ****ing go!

This. We definitely could have scored 31 if he didn't throw the INT in the endzone or miss a wide open receiver on 3rd and Goal but we gotta take the W any way we can

Defense is absolutely dominant. I truly think it can be a 9ers / Patriots SB if we keep this up and get healthier

I can’t blame QBs for fumbles under pressure. They’re trying to make plays. But the pick was really bad.

I want to see the play again to figure wtf he was thinking making that throw but looked like Kittle was held pretty bad on that but Jimmy HAS to be smarter than that. I understand you want to make big plays and trust your guys but how many times does a ball like that not get picked? Soon as he threw it like that I was screaming to knock it down. Just a killer turnover.

Thankfully the D came through again.

Offense understandably had issues with Staley, McGlinchey and Juice out. Donald is unreal out there. Jimmy had some good and some bad but our WRs need to be better. Goodwin drop was unreal. Honestly it seems like every time we have a huge drop like that or get a bad penalty on a big play that series just goes to chit. Have to stop hurting ourselves.

But holy chit at the D. They didn’t even play a super clean game. I was nervous as hell after that first drive but they totally shut things down after that. No question there were cracks but we had Goff so shook by the end of the game he missed a wide open guy at the end of the game.

We really need our guys coming back from injury.

Next week will be our first trap game. Redskins are at home but it’s a game we should be able to win but any given Sunday. Have to be smart.

I don’t want to look beyond any team but Carolina is the team that scares me. Solid offense but it’s their defense that scares me especially without our tackles. Their pass rush will be a real problem. And they’re getting two weeks to prep for us.

Hopefully we keep it going. Take care of business vs Washington and win a tough one vs Carolina.

If you’re talking about the pass to Coleman that was on him. Jimmy had to get it over the defender and it was still almost knocked down. Looked like Coleman just stopped thinking Jimmy would throw straight to him vs lobbing it but if Jimmy did that it could’ve been a pick 6. Coleman simply should’ve caught it.

Deebo, Goodwin, Coleman all had key drops. If we want to have a legit passing offense those guys have to be better with their hands.

I didnt get to see the entire game but got to watch most of it. Really pumped up about the win.

I didnt see the goodwin drop or the int but the highlight on the int looked like Deebo stopped? Still probably wasnt a good throw. Ive said this all along Jimmy will make a couple bad throws a game but he'll make up for it.

Shanahan said the design was what they wanted. It looked like Deebo tipped off the play to the guy covering him by moving up the field which caused his guy to drop back and combined with Kittle being held it resulted in an ugly pick.

The throw he had in the game where he stared down Pettis was worse. He really has to improve on not doing that or at least ensuring there’s nobody who can close on his pass. Got lucky on that one but combo of fuk ups on the actual pick.

I'll have to go back and look at it, I remember it being just a really bad pass. I agree though that these guys need to stop dropping passes.

The guy still hasn’t played a full season worth of games and people want him to be Aaron Rodgers. Just give him some time. He’s still got a lot to learn and he will. He’s been good for us and he’ll get better.

Fans have expectations of every single player and unit being good. The fact that we have a great run game, a great pass D and a great run D is amazing. Expecting to have a great pass offense as well would be wildly high expectations. Field goal kicking needs to get better as well but it might just be what Gould is these days.

This team was 4-12 last year. There’s still gonna be some growing pains. Lower your expectations and just appreciate that playoffs are looking very likely.

You have to remember that when Jimmy G came over he won 5 games in a row in 2017 including 2 or 3 games against playoff teams. The expectations for him are huge. We've been on the cusp of greatness for so long that we expect a lot.

I think playoffs need to happen for this team

Playoffs most likely will.

But Jimmy being an elite QB isn’t likely to happen for awhile, if ever. He still needs a ton of game reps.

I'm cool with that, I don't think we need him to be an elite QB to go deep in the playoffs or even to win the SB. If the defense stays healthy and dominant and he can make the throws and keep turnovers down I like our odds against anyone

Definitely dont need him to be elite. He just has to limit bad turnovers and work on looking guys off and that comes with time. He’s still the best QB we’ve had since Garcia. His 3rd down efficiency is pretty darn good especially when you look at the drops and other things out of his control.

He’s more of a gunslinger so he may get more turnovers but he rarely folds under the pressure of them.

As our WRs improve and we get our OTs back. He’ll do his part.
