He’s more of a gunslinger so he may get more turnovers but he rarely folds under the pressure of them.

As our WRs improve and we get our OTs back. He’ll do his part.

I was thinking bout going too but the weather said rain and didn't want to drive 5 hrs up from NC to sit in the rain, as much as I would enjoy it (the gf wouldn't) and it would make for a long weekend.

Love that Kyle hates the skins and will no doubt have the guys ready to roll.

Any given Sunday still applies but only way we should lose this game is if we have a TOTAL team collapse. I'm talking non stop key penalties on D, missed tackles, blown coverages on defense and several turnovers, drops, penalties on offense with injuries sprinkled in.

I don't like the early start time on the east coast so maybe we don't blow them out like many are predicting but if we play how we've played(which still hasn't been complete excellence on all sides of the game) we should be able to win this one fairly easily.

Their offense just isn't made to do much these days. Vernon Davis may play which certainly makes them more dangerous than they have been lately but if we're shutting down Cleveland and LA offenses then Washington shouldn't be able to score unless it's a blown play or they get a turnover off us in scoring position.

Our offense just has to avoid mistakes in this one.

Get the W and walk away hopefully with no further injuries.

Carolina game is going to be tough with our offensive line beatup. Their D is very similar to ours with their front 7 causing a ton of pressure and they will be well rested and prepared to play us off a bye week.

You guys know about salary cap more than I do when it comes to the NFL, but can this team actually sign another major player next year? Or is it mostly gonna go to re-signing some guys?

Yes. Salary cap is going up again. 49ers are already high on the list of teams with cap room. Buckner will likely get a new deal. They may want to extend Kittle. And Armstead is a free agent.
Horny.

It has been a long time since we've been this good, ya'll.

Should be a win as long as they're not turning it over as they did vs the Steelers.

I really hope this game isn’t even close and we run away with the W with no injuries. Will need our best vs Carolina and their defense the following week.

Need to win this one for the Shanahans and how dirty Washington did them.

Sounds like Solomon Thomas May be getting more snaps with DJ Jones hurt. Hopefully he can build on last weeks solid play. Was nice to see him get a legit sack.

And keep him on the inside. Yeah I hope it's the kind of game where we have mostert, mullens, matthews, etc in the 4th quarter.

I disagree. Washington’s best unit is their DL. We’re still missing Joe/Mike. Not the time to air it out. Keep pounding the ball in the running game and make sure Jimmy isn’t getting killed back there in a game we just need to not turn the ball over.

Game day! Raining there, expect a sloppy field and game to some extent. I think we run heavy and our D will easily handle things on that side of the ball. Looking to minimize mistakes (turnovers) on offense and special teams. Play clean as we can and we should win easy.

It’s a fact. JG is good for two throws that change the game for the other team. If Shanahan doesn’t make it easy for him, he struggles.

What an ugly game. Defense did it’s job but couldn’t get anything moving on offense. Looks like it rained the entire time. The field looks horrible. Either way just run run and run some more.

Either way we are winning. Games are going to get harder. Hopefully we open on the passing game soon? The second half of the season should be brutal if they cannot throw the ball. Other than little our receivers haven’t shown much to me. Do you guys tho k we actually make a trade for one?

Great win in a game with conditions where anything could happen. Looking forward to a big game next week vs a Panthers team that's hot. Hope they start Newton lol. Our guys will be ready and it for sure won't be raining at Levis.

Offense made the plays when needed today KB and Kittle stepped up and Coleman had a fantastic game for the conditions.

No major injuries which is always a plus. Anybody taking Jimmy G evaluations from a game like today is just ridiculous he played perfectly fine and got the job done, and got the W. I dunno why people are expecting crazy like numbers from him let alone in a game like today where the weather and field was absolute ****.

No disrespect, but you’re the same guy that was confident in the JT teams and chip
Kelly. You are the eternal optimist. You can certainly look at today and wish he made a few plays. KEENUM played on the same field and outplayed him the first half.

Also, don’t forget he had a hospital throw to Kittle.

He played well enough to win the game for sure. Great team win.

I hope all the reports are true we are getting serious for a receiver. I don’t see how we could win Green, but sanders would be great.

All that said, when we get healthy, the run game will be back and Shanahan will make the pass game easy again.

If you're talking about me I'm always rooting for the team to win, I wasn't optimistic when they started showing that they sucked. And what's wrong with being optimistic, two weeks ago everyone in here was prepping for the L vs LA except me. What happened, they won. If they lost I wouldn't care either but I don't get the hate for being optimistic and a homer. I'd root for them to win any time regardless who's playing or coaching, and it doesn't affect my ability to evaluate the team. You can't really take much from this game other than the W cause of the rain. Sure the coaches are able to analyze it but I doubt they put much stock into a game like today. Don't turn it over and try to get the W anyway possible is the reality of the situation.

Reality is he made at least two other good throws to Kittle across the middle, if you don't throw em they won't have a chance to get caught or picked, or have Kittle get hit, I don't think Kittle minds, going across the middle is part of the sport. Look at Jimmy's stats after his pick and he got outplayed by Keenum in a terrible weather game for 1 half, so what. If that happened all game and in great weather then that would be bad. They play 4 quarters for a reason.

We won, came out healthy, getting guys back soon and are 6-0. You guys can complain all you want. I'm pretty damn satisfied.

Did Jimmy miss some throws today, yes. Every other game, yes. Some are super terrible looking from where I sit (decisions and throws). It is what it is.

It's gonna happen dunno what people are expecting from him, nobody is perfect. Especially with today's weather it was gonna be like that. Oh well, got the W and move on to the next game.

Again, I’m happy as well. The intent of my statement is dude has plenty of room to grow. He had an okay game. One good enough to win…but will have to play levels better to make us competitive in the superdome. Keenum was playing the best defense in the league with nothing on offense..different set of circumstances.

Great win. Awesome to be 6-0.

JG has to get better…that’s that. The killer throws have to stop or the good gunslinging needs to be so good, we live with the bad. That’s all I’m saying.

Nothing wrong with being an optimism at all.

I agree, and think that he will get better. He has as of today I think 1 full season under his belt of play time. And not all of that has been consecutive so yes their is lots to improve on. I think he has the chops to do just that as well. The great thing is that football is a team game and he's good enough to win right now, look at dudes record with us and as a starter in totality. The better the team you have around him even better. I don't think I've seen him play a game yet where I've said wow Jimmy cost us that game. Closest thing maybe was MIN last year week 1 and that's a week 1 game, away, and also if I remember that wrong route run on his pick 6.

Look Jimmy makes some totally bonehead plays but usually not anything that costs us the game, and as a whole we have a capable offense and I'm more than comfortable with him at the QB position. He's gonna have bumps along the road let's hope he just continues to get better and better. I think he will.

Jimmy needs to play better but this is definitely a game where you can tell the idiots who are just checking the box score. Including the king of dumbasses posting in our thread.

Those weather conditions were awful. I’m glad we won and didn’t lose too many guys to injury(hopefully no surprises)

Next week is going to be a huge challenge. Our OL has been rough without McGlinchey. Brunskill was especially bad today. Carolina D is legit and we need to protect Jimmy and open up some damn holes in the running game to pull that one out.

It’s hard to play QB with such inconsistency at WR and playcalling. I’m not worried about Jimmy overall but I do want to see him improve on some things that are recurring.

The pick doesn’t happen if he looked the safety off. It’s something he keeps not doing and it’s bit us in the ass a few times. If he adds that to his QB play he can open up some big plays…assuming our guys actually catch the ball.

Great win. Awesome to be 6-0.

JG has to get better…that’s that. The killer throws have to stop or the good gunslinging needs to be so good, we live with the bad. That’s all I’m saying.

Nothing wrong with being an optimism at all.
To be fair I don’t recall many big time throws from Keenum. There may have been one to Quinn.

But there’s no question there is plenty for Jimmy to improve on.

I didn't want to overlook WASH and especially with the weather and conditions today but I have been super eager for this upcoming game. I live in NC and am a big CMC fan as a local bay area native and Stanford fan.

Very curious to see who they roll out at QB against us. I think we can win regardless but playing against Cam would be lulz. Their is a QB controversy brewing with the Panthers team a la Smith and Kap.

I don't see how you take the undefeated kid out but they may very well do it. Either way, at home against us I wouldn't want to be playing QB for the Panthers next week.

If we can stop McCaffrey I think we will be fine. Their D is quite good but I would have to give us the advantage in terms of all three phases and the fact we will be home. Then there is the fact they are coming off a bye and CMC and the rest of them should be fresh. That said people around here have said they have come out slow after bye's so we'll see. I expect a very good game definitely and excited to see us play a solid team and a player like McCaffrey who's been balling out.
