As a niners fan in DC that win today is going to be sweet tomorrow. Niners gear at the gym, niners hat in the rear window of the car, it just is fun to rub salt in the 1-6 wounds.

Go Niners!
There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and…It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Bosa has the two best sack celebrations I've seen in awhile with the flag plant and the slip n slide to end today's game. Love that he's bringing that too the team we haven't had an energy with sacks and celebrations like that since Aldon. Love that we have that again.

Also genus stop arguing with those dumb ass people in QB threads lol

Hard to judge any player in this game with these conditions.

But we can all see Jimmy is still pretty reckless. But it’s something he can get right with more reps. A guy that’s had as few snaps as he has can fix these little habits that get him in the kind of sh*t he gets in. He’s still going to grow a lot as a QB.

I think Russell Wilson just said this year that he finally feels like there’s nothing a defense can do that will surprise him.
Horny.

Agreed. Nothing much to take away from that game except for the fact the 49ers wanted the win more. Good teams win ugly games and in the past we would have lost that game.

I'm not going to worry about Jimmy too much. He threw his typical int which was a good play by the safety. Jimmy should have tried to look the safety off a little though. Its hard to throw the ball in the rain and even harder to catch it.

Is it me or is Bourne our best WR?

That game made me so anxious, but glad we came out with the win. That was a game that showed our team's guts and desire to win.

This Panthers game is going to be tough, but I feel we show up big again

This is a game I REALLY wish our offense was at full strength. Having Staley, McGlinchey and Juszscyk in this game would be a huge help. We simply haven't been able to run the ball as well and that will be a huge key to that game.

Panthers pass rush is LEGIT. Right up there with ours and may be better in terms of speed rush. Their front 7 is excellent. Secondary is pretty decent as well with several guys able to get turnovers.

It's huge that if we're forced to pass that we can get the ball out quick and guys have to make plays.

Glad this game is at home but wish Panthers didn't have two weeks to prep for us. Not sure if it just seems like we're getting dicked around more than other teams but we're getting a lot of games where other team comes off a bye week against us. And it's happening against good teams.

Rams get the mini bye week.
Panthers get full bye week before our game.
Packers get full bye week before our game.

Hopefully we're able to rise up to the challenge in those like we did against the Rams.

We're not supposed to win. We aren't the team with our players in commercials or being highlighted on prime time. We aren't the cool team to root for. We are 6-0 and still get little to no respect. People are just waiting for the first loss to say that we were pretenders.

I agree it sucks. I gotta think though that watching our caliber of play we come out on top. I think again it's going to be about limiting turnovers and protecting the ball. Defense is gonna show up

Sanders + 5th round for 3rd round + 4th round.

Great trade for Sanders. It'll be a rental signing, but should give them a nice boost at WR.

I think we gave up too much for Sanders.

I'd be ok with it if he helps us get to the Super Bowl though.

It's essentially a 3rd round pick. Their 5th will be high and our 4th will be low. I like it. Sanders is so underrated

Going to a team meeting dinner in a bit so will come back to go over the trade later but quick thoughts on it…we gave up too much.

Hopefully it works out and he helps us win but I don't see the huge impact in Sanders. Hopefully it will be similar to my dislike of the Justin Smith signing…

edit:

So I had some time to think about this one. Still unsure if this was a smart move or an overreaction but I feel better about it after my initial reaction.

Unless things change for both teams drastically this kind of works out to be a Sanders for a low 3rd round pick.

Our likely low 4th rounder for a likely high 5th rounder is likely a difference of 10 or so picks…nothing that ground breaking.

If we don't sign Sanders after this season there is a chance he goes somewhere else and we may get a 3rd round comp pick for him in 2021.

Now the reason I'm still not thrilled with the move is the following.

I think Sanders is a slot guy. Trent Taylor even Pettis or Deebo are best suited for the slot. So does Taylor stay on IR until next year? Can Sanders play as well at X or Z? Time will tell I guess.

Sanders is also coming off injury, now he's played well so far but he's had injury concerns in the past. Should anything happen to him the odds at a comp pick go down significantly as he wouldn't fetch the contract needed to receive a 3rd or even a 4th round comp pick.

I kind of hate the idea that next year's draft which is pretty deep at OL, CB and WR and we're missing our 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks. We've done a pretty good job finding talent in the 5th round in the ShanaLynch era but you can't rely on finding 5th round gems every year.

Hope it works out well for us but I would've rather take a swing at AJ Green if we're going in on a WR need.

I'd be lying if I said I've watched Sanders play a bunch but I've seen some highlights. Supposedly regarded highly. He's 32 and coming off achilles but has more yards than any of our WR's this year so…I don't mind what we gave up for what we got in return and I think he will instantly help the passing game. If not in his own receptions he will definitely free up other guys, especially with Shanny scheming things up. I like the move overall.

So it's been confirmed Allen is starting for the Panthers. Kinda like the idea that our defense gets to go against a guy who is a pocket passer who I think our pass rush can easily get to. Obviously we have to key in on McCaffrey but I think we can rattle and definitely get to Allen and limit his production and force some turnovers.

I like that we will have Sanders for the CAR defense to worry about now too and he will hopefully free up the pass and run game a bit.

You think Sanders will be up to speed enough to make an impact? I don't think the Panthers will game plan at all for him and just treat him the same as the other WRs.

Sounds more and more unlikely that Taylor and Hurd play this year. Probably a big reason why they traded for Sanders.

If he's healthy he's playing. Don't forget their OC was our QB coach last few years under Kyle so they're pretty much running the same offense. Just some verbage changes to adjust to. They'll definitely get him involved.

Can't wait for Sunday.

Nervous for the game due to our injuries on offense but excited to see what we're able to do. Have to overcome those or we'll be one and done in the playoffs(assuming we make it).

Carolina D is legit and full of talent. Our make shift OL better be ready, this isn't Washington we're facing.

Jimmy needs his best game of the year IMO. May be tough with lack of protection, new WR, other WRs hurting but this is why you pay guys big money. Have to deliver.

Hopefully our D keeps doing their thing. McCaffrey is a stud and playing like a man possessed and they have a lot of guys who can hurt you if tackles are missed.

Need to play clean on both sides of the ball and keep this win streak going.

So sad… I won’t be able to watch the game tomorrow. We are going to have our power shut off for the second time in a month thanks to PGE. It will be off from 3pm today to Tuesday from what we are told.

I will be checking online to see what goes on thanks to my phone.

You can't go to a sports bar to watch it? Man this isn't a game I would want to miss. This is our biggest test so far

I think we do it. Defense is gonna do their thing, I think they come away with an interception. It's all on Jimmy G and how he fares with his decision making. He WILL get pressured, he will get sacked, but will he stay cool and protect the football. It all comes down to that.

Haven't seen recent numbers but I almost feel Jimmy does better on quick decisions and getting the ball out quickly vs the times where he holds the ball for bigger developing plays where he sometimes misreads stuff or forgets to look safeties off. Quick stuff they don't have time to get to the spot.

Just have to make proper reads and throw it so guys can't jump routes and pick it off.

I hope so. I know Carolina is going to get in the back field often. I'm hoping we can establish a solid run game right off the bat, so that our play action can go off.
