I think we do it. Defense is gonna do their thing, I think they come away with an interception. It's all on Jimmy G and how he fares with his decision making. He WILL get pressured, he will get sacked, but will he stay cool and protect the football. It all comes down to that.

Only bad thing was Jimmy pick, lucky they called holding on McCaffrey td play but otherwise we're legit dominating. Love to see it. Boss and the whole DL are mad men and Coleman and the run game is going off.

Pissed that they ran a play last play of half and Breida gets banged up wtf, take a knee there and get out of the half healthy.

Well chit…thought this game would be super close. We absolutely ran away with it.

Hope we don’t get too overconfident and take care of the divisional games. Wish we were hosting the short week game but we SHOULD win vs Arizona. But have to play smart.

Jimmy needs to eliminate the wtf throws.

Both of these. Wow, what a game. That was fun to watch. Jimmy G recovered from that INT like it was nothing so that's good. OLine help up pretty well against that Defense.

I'll be at the game in Glendale this Thursday. Expecting a competitive game, but I think we come away with it

Another beatdown! Niners baby let's go!

Sucks about Breida, still don't get running a play there. Let him sit Thursday and get rested, we have a mini bye til the MNF game after.

Looking at AZ they have been competitive lately and TNF always a **** show but I expect our team to come out ready to go. Let's get the W and then have another two division games in a row after this TNF. Crazy to think we could basically put the division away with 3 wins in a row upcoming.

I refuse to think that far ahead at this point. 49ers looking great but the NFC this season is stacked. GB and NO both at 7-1 and playing terrific. 49ers play both of them with NO at their stadium.

Both games will reveal just how good this 49ers team is. I love this squad and I think if they play a clean game they can beat ANYONE. However that's a tough ask of a still pretty young and inexperienced team.

We have yet to face a well rounded team with an elite QB and solid OL play which can neutralize our great pass rush or at least keep it in check here and there.

To me the Packers look more beatable than New Orleans but when Aaron Rodgers is in the zone he's hard to stop. Even when we had our dominant defenses of Harbaugh years he took it to us and we won most of those games cuz of the offense.

New Orleans however scares me. Their strengths are stopping the run and they have a pretty good OL with a very well rounded offense. They're going to be really tough. I know the Rams smoked them but when you lose your starting QB early in a game everything kind of goes out the window.

Hope I'm wrong and my worries continue to be unwarranted(hell I thought Carolina would be our toughest test so far and we ran through them) but definitely not ready to start thinking SB.

Baby steps.

I think the Packers game will be a win. The D is going to get to Rodgers and we have always played well against Green Bay. It'll be one of our higher scoring games for sure, I think they still score at least 27, but I think we come away with the win. Remember the 2013 playoff game with GB? Our offense was horrible that year (First year with Kaep starting the season) and we still took it to them. Watching GB play they aren't on that elite level like 49ers / Patriots / Saints are right now

I wouldn't say we haven't played a well rounded team. Rams and Panthers were both great teams. Maybe we haven't played the Patriots / Saints, but those are the other 2 real elite teams right now. I think we have done plenty to prove what the team is capable of. It all comes down to limiting turnovers and the run game. As of right now we have no reason to think otherwise. The 9ers haven't done anything to show they are pretenders except for the silly turnovers, and Jimmy G is getting better at that

I am going to talk a little chit, that's just how I am, but it's all in fun. I get annoyed when people think their team is a lock just because they have a big name (Brees) and box score watchers like to discount our team. We'll see what happens but I like our chances

Keep in mind too, we still have all those injuries. Imagine Juszczyk and Staley coming back?

lol did you forget most of the 90s? Cuz that team has robbed us of probably 2 SBs.

And I get it man. Like I said in the other thread if we're healthy and we play OUR football with limited mistakes we can beat anyone. I just worry about whether we can do that. And I do want to see us take on the elite QBs and see how we do against them.

Murray will be a good test on how this D can face vs the rusher QBs. We're about to face a ton of them. Murray x 2, Wilson x2, Jackson and even Rodgers with his mobility.

I still have nightmares about Wilson fuking us over and doing his greased chicken routine where our guys had him dead to rights and he manages to sneak out of the pocket and throw a prayer bomb down the field on 3rd/4th down to just kill us.

Hopefully we just keep on trucking and keep playing well no matter what offense is in front of us and hopefully start getting back our OL starters and Juice to get us back to a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.

I'm talking about recently. I don't remember many 90s games, I was born in 87

I agree it'll be interesting to see what happens Thursday. Inb4 we drop an L to the Cardinals and the board blows up about how the 49ers are pretenders lol

In all seriousness though I think we all expected better play this year but no one expected a 7-0 start and a potential playoff run (Maybe a playoff appearance at most). So either way I'm super excited to watch them every week and even if this isn't the year I think we only get better. It's been tough being a fan recently but Lynch / Shanahan have really turned things around

Yeah I was excited for this season and thought we could take a nice step forward but wasn't expecting this type of play.

Hell if you told me we'd be missing Staley, McGlinchey and Shon Coleman and that Witherspoon and Juice would be out I would've been shocked if we were .500 at this point despite the favorable schedule.

I don't think the party keeps going as our schedule clearly takes a rapid turn from pretty easy to constant contenders but at least we'll earn it if we get into the playoffs. Saints schedule in the 2nd half looks like our first half schedule so they have an easier track at top seed in the NFC, especially if we lose to them which is a very real possibility.

Now if we can somehow stay undefeated heading into that Green Bay game that would be huge.

Playing Green Bay, @ Baltimore and @ New Orleans will give us a great look to see how far this team can go this year.

Breida limited today is a good sign about his ankle. I'd still keep him on limited snaps or out for TNF. Looks like AZ has two RBs out as of right now which should bode well for us.

Excited to see us get after a mobile QB as we have a myriad of games against these type of QBs upcoming. Collapse the pocket and get the sacks, won't be the same as going against these pocket guys but I will say, pressure is pressure.

I don't like the Drake addition for them, he's a good back but I do wonder if he'll have enough time to get ready for this game.

RBs responsibilities aren't that tough to grasp as far as other positions go but if the protection scheme Arizona uses is much different from Miami a thursday night game when you're traded on Monday could be a tough ask.

Hopefully he misses a few assignments and Bosa and our guys make Kyler long for baseball.

Really hope we're up for this game and we dont' fall for a trap game looking ahead to Seattle.

Keep balling and go 8-0 then prep for the big Seattle game. Hopefully this team keeps playing their best ball in primetime games.

I don't think Drake will play much if he does at all, supposedly they're starting Alfred Morris.

I think we come out ready to go and this game will go like many of ours this year have been, I think we win by 10-15 if I had to guess, potentially more. Thursdays are weird, I'll take a W at any amount and a healthy game.

I can't wait til tomorrow night. I have to admit these type of games make me nervous.

The team has played so well so far that any loss would be devastating but a loss to a mediocre team you're supposed to roast would be like a dagger to the dick.

Hope we take care of business and not find ourselves looking ahead to Seattle the following week. I hate Thursday Night Football and hopefully the rest our guys got end of Sunday's game helps us avoid injuries and come out playing hard and get the W.

Our schedule gets super tough so beating teams like Arizona is a must.

We also kick off a crazy stretch of games vs super mobile QBs so it will be interesting how the defense is able to attack them.

Murray is a great prep for Wilson though Russell at this point is WAY more advanced as a pocket passer.

Keep doing what we've been doing and we should win.

Lol at Kittle calling Bosa a cheat code. The guy has been everything most expected and more. It's crazy to think about but I legit think he's the most important piece of our defense. Just brings up everyone's game around him.

Hopefully he makes a habit of punishing Oklahoma QBs and has a similar game on primetime against Murray as he did against Mayfield.

Oh and some fun stats for Jimmy whose box scores definitely don't leave much excitement.

Leads the NFL right now in 3rd down conversion %(not to be confused with completion % on 3rd down)
Are you trying to say Jimmy G is "clutch" ??

He's no Mitch Trubisky but he seems to play pretty well on big time downs.

I'm not big on stats but supposedly he's got the best deep ball (over 20yds) % or some **** like that again I could care less the guy wins that's all that matters.

I'm definitely stoked for tomorrow its great to wait less time between games even tho I know the players hate it. Just hoping we come away healthy and play a solid game which we should.

So sick of the Jimmy criticism. Yeah he makes some dumb throws, but as genus posted, he's straight cash on 3rd downs. And people expecting him to pass for 300+ every week…. why would you pass when you have a dominant running game?? I swear some people prefer flashy stats over wins
