Game day! Halloween and a 49ers game on a Thursday, I'll take it. Ready for the D to wreck shop in AZ and the run game to go off. Excited to see the passing game keep progressing with Sanders and the rest of the WRs.

So sick of the Jimmy criticism. Yeah he makes some dumb throws, but as genus posted, he's straight cash on 3rd downs. And people expecting him to pass for 300+ every week…. why would you pass when you have a dominant running game?? I swear some people prefer flashy stats over wins
It was kind of funny seeing Bayless making excuses for Dak missing his starting tackles for not playing as well and Mark Schlereth laid the smack down on him bringing up the fact that we're starting our 4th and 5th tackle out there and missing Juice who is one of the best to ever play FB.
Jimmy isn't an elite QB but he's played very well and the idea that 49ers could've won all these games with anyone else is bogus speculation. This is the same dude who went 5-0 in 2017 with a defense that was nowhere close to this level and with him in there the defense instantly got better because they didn't have to play all game long and the fact that he's at the top of the NFL in 3rd down conversion % plays right into that.
His numbers may not be flashy and that's because we run a ton and we run well…total agreement, no reason to throw it if you can keep moving the ball on the ground.
We had 1 game where the game was close and we had to throw the ball and that was against Pittsburgh. Despite the numbers that was Jimmy's best game as a 49er(although I loved what he did in Sunday's W outside of that pick) and that game included the huge TD throw to Pettis for the W with 1:20 left in the game.
And that's with backup OTs in there. That is with inconsistency at WR. That is with him coming off ACL injury and that's with him still being a relatively inexperienced QB.
One of the things I loved seeing from him on Sunday against Carolina was how many times he looked off the defense and it let to some huge plays for us. It's almost like him not really doing that too much in earlier games completely trolled Carolina. When Luke Kuechly looks lost you know that you're doing something really amazing….just really wish Jimmy wouldnt' test guys like that in tight coverage. That pick was really gross.

The guy has plenty of room to grow. We have a genius playcaller and an amazing run game. He is the worst qb in the league when throwing in less than 2.5 seconds. He also has a 9-7 td/int ratio. I completely agree people are piling on as if he’s Trubisky or Marriotta, but he is certainly just a guy right now.
Hell of a leader and the team loves him. He is a very likable guy and a hard worker by all accounts. I think he will take the next step…however, he is playing okay to slightly better than okay. He is good for two or three wtf throws a game. I do believe he will mature and get better with reps. That said, if you think he’s top ten, you’re just being a fan.
You don’t need flashy stats. I am more coming from an angle of imagine with at ten or more qbs would do in this offense. Here’s a good question…better or worse if you give us Matt Ryan?

Game day! I'm here at the stadium and it's like 30-40% 49ers fans. I don't think the Cards are going to have much of a home field advantage.
I would love to see us get to Kyler Murray and take away his mobility. Should be a blowout on all accounts but let's see how we do

Sucks Kittle got that hyperextension. Don't like that he's still playing even though he's producing. Thats a rough injury gotta get that rested and worked on ASAP, let's get the lead up and sit him and get ready for a longer rest before next game.
Team looks good but about how I'd expect them to look for playing on a Thursday. D took a little time to wake up, they're not on their A game but on their good enough game. Wish Warner got that pick 6 he dropped.
On offense Sanders looks good, run game got going, and Jimmy looking good. Deebo gotta catch that TD ball.
Don't personally like Kyle going for it there on 4th when we could go up 10 and get ball to start half, but very very luckily it worked out for us.
Get this lead up and get the starters out and let the D feast on a team trying to come back. Let's go Niners!

**** Thursday games lol. Glad we got the win but Kittle got banged up and Kwon went out too. Need to get those guys healthy, as well as the rest of the guys who have been out for a bit we're gonna need as many good players out there for the second half stretch.
2-0 in the division and 8-0 overall, I will take it. Jimmy with two huge 3rd down conversions on the last drive and Coleman with one big conversion on his run too, that was great to see the offense helping out the defense a bit on a game they didn't play their best on the defensive side of the ball.
Good thing is we have some tape on AZ, practice against a mobile QB, time to rest and a win on the night.

It’s a W…but sounds like we have some injuries that are pretty concerning.
Hopefully Kittle will be ok with rest but I’m seeing reports Kwon has a pec tear. He would be a big loss.
Overall great to see Jimmy play well. Easily his best game of the year but defense was super sloppy. Hope it was due to short week, lack of tape on Drake in that offense and certainly the huge TD to Isabella hurt.
Seattle will definitely try to attack us in a similar way. Our linebackers have to play better that’s for damn sure.

Him not having his arm immobilized leads me to believe (and really hope) it’s not a torn pec.
Agree on LB play, it was bad all night.
Also agree on JGs play. Statement game for him. He was a monster. One day Deebo is going to be a killer, but currently his hands frustrate the hell out of me.

Wow, what a game. Defensive play got really sloppy. Run game got going and pass game was on point. Jimmy G played and won under immense pressure. He took a huge step forward today IMO
This was the classic trap game so a win is a win gotta just move forward. 11 days to heal up for Seattle
Stadium was crazy. My section had a good amount of 9ers fans but still got crazy loud. I was talking massive amounts of **** would really happy we held on lol

Really curious to see how the defense looks these next two games vs Wilson and Murray part 2.
It's clear we're not the same attacking D against mobile QBs but I do think Thursday Night played a part.
Very nervous about Kwon's MRI today. Hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. Greenlaw and the other linebackers will have to step it up big time.
Warner played like crap last night and it has to be fixed.
Secondary also isn't the same without the pass rush but the pass rush couldn't do what they do since Arizona kept running the ball and they had to play more contain vs just rushing like they can vs less mobile QBs.
We know Seattle will run the ball and Wilson is the best QB we've played so far this year. It will be a real test.
Glad we have the rest, hopefully the guys are healing up and have tape on repeat studying the fuk out of Seattle. Regardless of what happens down the road against GB, New Orleans and Baltimore we have to win our division games.
Going to be nice to get some reinforcements on offense back too. Loved seeing some of those anticipation throws from Jimmy. If we can get consistency at WR and Deebo, Pettis and other young guys stepping up at the position and Jimmy limiting his mistakes we won't need the defense to be as dominant as it was last few weeks anyways.
Gonna be a long wait til next game but it's also kind of relaxing. As awesome as being 8-0 is last night was super stressful lol.

Great win, a little concerning towards the last 5 min but……
Anyway, the announcers said both Staley and ( fullback/44) will be back next week so there is that to celebrate.
To go from 4-12 to 8-0 is pretty dam impressive.

Dr David Chao was on the nfl network…he doesn’t have inside information, but reviewing the tape looked like a pec tendon rupture similar to Watt which would be season ending. If it’s a tear, maybe not.
Kittle will likely have a bone bruise and it’s possible he misses a few weeks.

Ugh…tough loss.
Next man up I guess but I'm getting really fuking tired of saying that.
Hopefully with guys coming back on offense and Jimmy starting to heat up with Sanders on the team now maybe it won't be as pretty as it was with the big blowout wins but we may start seeing more close games but as long as they're Ws that's fine.
Would be nice if our D could stay dominant the whole season but we knew the schedule was going to get tougher anyways. May need to win some offensive shootouts. Defense carried us for a while. Offense has to pick up the slack now.

Man Tampa just couldn’t get it done….shame. Would’ve loved to see Seattle drop down to 3 loses to give us more cushion in the division race. Gonna have to get them to 3 Ls ourselves on Monday.
Gonna be a real challenge for the D. Wilson is playing unreal football right now. Bad time to lose Alexander.
Our offense will have to control the game and keep him off the field as much as possible and make sure we’re scoring TDs because field goals won’t cut it against that offense right now.

We’ve got a tough test ahead of us next Monday night guys. Wilson is better than any QB we’ve played so far….please don’t get like all the obnoxious fools making threads only to have them bumped when the team loses.
We should win the game but I hated seeing Arizona move the ball on us and losing Kwon leaves a lot of unknowns in how we’ll look against Seattle with Wilson at QB and them adding Gordon.

Maybe it's just cuz I'm super superstitious but 99/100 times someone makes boisterous sports misc threads about how great their team is…that team loses that week.
We're not going undefeated but man I'd really hate to take the L at home vs Seattle.
We SHOULD be able to win but I also thought the Patriots would win last night against Baltimore and it wouldn't be very close. Turned out it was the wrong team which ran away with it.
Right now our D is a bit of an unknown with Kwon being out. We have also really not faced an offense with a QB as talented as Wilson and the only mobile QB we played…who is a MUCH worse passer than Wilson and our D looked suspect.
We're playing at home but that just means we're not going to be drowned out by the noise from opposing fans. I wish we had homefield advantage like KC/Seattle where the noise actually really impacted the game for the other teams.
Hopefully our D comes out hungry to show that last game was a fluke and Greenlaw steps the fuk up for Kwon being out and our offense only gets better with the guys coming back. Looking ahead to our schedule it's absolutely key that we win our division games.
This game is huge for us. We win and we have a 3 game lead in the division and tie breakers with Seattle and LA so far. Have to figure we take care of Arizona at home as well afterwards.
If we can go into the GB, @Baltimore, @New Orleans stretch 10-0 that really helps our chances to not only make the playoffs but have a bye week which would be huge for us.
We're certainly not dead in the water if we lose to Seattle but it's a home game…have to win those.
Hopefully we will do just that.

Yes it sucks that Kwon is out, and that TB couldn't beat Seattle but I think we handle our business against them. We have lots of time to prep and rest up and this team is always ready to go on Monday nights. The crowd should be big for a big division game and really right now our fans still have a hatred for Seattle so Levi's will hopefully be loud (for Levi's standard lol).
I definitely can't wait for this game and hope we smash them.

Maybe we need to make a thread, SIZZLING hot take, 49ers undefeated streak snapped by the Seahawks. That way the football gods will be satisfied and make sure the opposite happens lol
I think you gotta look at that Arizona game with perspective. We held them to like 80 yards in the first half and were 21 to 7. That is total domination. I think they got stuff going through sheer will power that 2nd half and it was bound to happen. The blown coverage on that long TD was a costly mistake too.
I think we run the ball way more effectively vs Seattle and I think the defense gets to Wilson. I don't think it will be a blowout but I'm predicting we win by at least 10

Logically I think we should beat Seattle.
I think we're a better team. Our defense is much better than theirs and while Jimmy isn't playing as well as Russell Wilson overall our offense is just as dangerous.
Honestly I think my biggest concern from the Arizona game was our plan of attack against a mobile QB. It took our biggest strength - our pass rush and it made them kind of hang back instead of doing what they do best - attack.
Hopefully it was more short rest/lack of practice time and lack of film on Drake that caused the lapse by the D and we see a hungry, pissed off defense come in against Seattle and make Wilson look way worse than he's looked this year.

At this point of the season I think we can beat any team in the NFL. However I also think we will lose a few games just bc of the any given Sunday deal. Hopefully we can get enough of a lead in the standings that crapping the bed a couple times won't hurt.
